Edward's 18 month doctor appointment was yesterday. Doc says he looks great and Edward just had another growth spurt. Doc says at this rate, Edward will be about 5'10" when he's an adult! Edward weighs 20.13 pounds and is 32 1/2 inches tall. He is finally in the 50% percentile range. Little guy's growing :)

Today we had a nice family day! We took Edward to the beach and let him play with a few little kids his age. He had the best time with the little people. We came home and had chicken fajitas for dinner and then took Edward and the dogs to the park for some more fun!

Earthquake

OMG, I almost had a heart attack while I was at work. It was about 1:53 PM when all of a sudden the office starts shaking... and I am talking the office was shaking so bad we could hear stuff moving and feel the floors vibrating.

I couldn't breath for a second because I was in panic mode. Jen asked me what was happening and I said I dunno but something is wrong... and it turned out that something was an earthquake. I have never in my life been so scared... it was so scary.

We all went outside for a few minutes and you could still feel the ground moving sideways... very strange. I'm just glad that no one was hurt and the building didn't collapse.

Tic Tac Toe!

One of my favorite childhood games was Tic-Tac-Toe. What I love about this game is that it doesn't last for hours and the game is fairly inexpensive! You can chose to scribble your own lines on paper to play the game or you could chose to make a special game for your little one like I decided to do.

To be honest, this game literally took be fifteen minutes to create! It was so easy to make because G.C.D Studios creates some awesome products! I simply cut the paper so that I had 9 visible squares and for some of the chipboard shapes, I plucked off the bling so the X's would fit nicely, added a sticker in the center and I was done! Feel free to use a 5"X5" acrylic block as your base!

I hope you've enjoyed your stay and have fun creating this precious game of your own. You know you wanna and your kid(s) will love you for it!

Life's a beach

Hello Ladies! How often do you use inspiration from an ad to help spark your creativity? I will admit, it's challenging for me because quite frankly I like to use a mixture of colors/patterns that normally wouldn't go together and using inspiration kind of prevents that... so I thought, until I saw this inspiration!

The minute I saw the gum ball machine and it's colors, I thought I can totally work with that one! And I did, and it was so much fun! My sisters just got back from the beach so I thought, why not scrap a layout of them two using some of the gorgeous Melody Ross Papers and embellishments from the Melody Ross and Funhouse Collection.

Supplies used:
Papers: Melody Ross and Materials Girls
Die-cut Borders: Melody Rosss
Candy Lace: Funhouse Collection

Other:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper
Punches: Foam Squares: Black pen: Creative Memories
Glimmer Glaze: Tattered Angels (Orange Crush)
