I love you!

So last night was rough. Edward woke up at 2:30 am. and I was like "oh no..." I just wanted to sleep you know? But I know when somethings wrong so I quickly got out of bed. When I got in there, Edward was standing up and he said "Stinky" so I thought, okay, he has a poopie. I can handle this... change him and put him back to bed.

So I got him changed and noticed that he was a little wet so stripped him and put a clean set of pj's on him. I gave him a kiss and went to put him back in bed and he clings to me yelling, "no momma, stinky." So I'm trying to put him in and decided to put my hand on the bed... maybe he leaked? Mind you, I did all of this with the lights off... it was 2:30 am... so I put my hand down in the crib and yuck... he puked all over the bed! So I had to turn the lights on, strip his bed and put new sheets and blankets in there.

Once that was done, I grabbed everything, holding Edward in my right arm and put his dirty sheets in the wash. After that, we went upstairs and I grabbed him some crackers and then we went back downstairs to watch Nick Jr. until he was done eating some crackers. He nibbled on about 10 crackers. As he was watching cartoons, I said, Edward, it's night night time, after this is over, you have to go back to bed OK?" He shakes his head yes. So at 3:30 am. after the stupid cartoon with moving hands ended, I told him it was night night time and he didn't argue. He went right down and I was so happy because I was so tired.

Anyways, he made up for last night on the way to daycare this morning. I looked in the rear view mirror and said, "Edward, I love you!" and he said, "I love you". And I was freaking out because he said I Love you so clear for the first time ever and I have been waiting to hear him tell me that he loves me and I can't explain it but it was the best gift!!! And I said it again and he repeated it and I watched his lips and he said it PERFECTLY. So my beautiful son made my day after the little sleep I received! Today he seems to be doing okay. I sure hope he isn't getting sick again.

Zva Creative Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcomes you to join us for our December Design Team blog hop!

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project. If you like what you see, you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

The Blog Hop begins at Windy Robinson's blog. She will have the complete list of all the participating blogs in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way!

Hidden on FIVE of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, December 19th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, December 20th.

The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 21st on each of the five winning blogs. The full list will be found on Windy Robinson's blog as well. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday... plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! To increase your chances of winning:

* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.

So you have FOUR chances on each blog to win one of our FIVE prizes! That's a lot of chances to win!

The blog hop begins here at Windy Robinson's blog. Your next stop is Lisa Gregory. Enjoy!

Thank you for joining us! Happy Holidays!

P.S. Mark your calendar to join us again on January 30th for our next Zva blog hop!

Meeting Santa for the 2nd time...

So last year, Edward wasn't a big fan of Santa... Santa scared him half to death... so this year, I wasn't sure how he was going to take meeting Santa for the second time... Here are the photos from last year... I know, poor Edward right... broke my heart seeing him so scared.

But I have to say, he did much better this year as long as Santa didn't try to touch him... lol. He took his gifts, gave Santa knuckles and high fives and ran. LOL. But I think Aunt Jamie really helped him with Santa... the fact that she was right there with him made a difference and I think he recognized Santa's voice :)

Working with chipboard embellishments

Today, I am going to share some of my most favorite layouts/projects featuring chipboard. Why you might ask? Because it’s one of my favorite types of embellishments and I've decided to try out for the Imaginarium Designs Team... how can I not. I didn't even know the call existed until I popped over at Two Peas :) Love that place... it's my place to go to when I need to find out all the latest and greatest news in the scrappy world.

Anyways, I love the fact that chipboard can be used in so many fun, creative ways to help add that special touch to my layouts and projects. Personally, when I am missing something on my layout, I will look through my chipboard embellishments to see what catches my eye. Alphas, shapes, frames and much more live in my chipboard stash.

I love the many possibilities that chipboard can provide. Some of my favorite ways to use chipboard includes cutting the chipboard and distressing the surface with ink and paint. And the best part about using chipboard (in my opinion) is how sturdy it is! Scrappers do not have to worry about their chipboard embellishments falling apart.

Here are 10 of my most favorite projects featuring chipboard in some ways and I have been fortunate to have some of them published!!

Happy Holidays Cards

I hate to say it but Christmas is literally right around the corner! I am almost done my Christmas shopping and everything that I've bought so far is wrapped! Go me! So I'm waiting on the last few gifts to arrive by mail... Oh did you think I went out on black Friday to do my shopping? Heck no... not me. Anyways, here's a little project to help you get your cards completed! Forget about spending $1 per card and make your own!

Here's what I used:
Plain White Envelopes by Staples
Photo paper by Staples
Papers and embellishments by Creative Memories (Love this new holiday paper!!)

Using your trimmer, cut a piece of pattern paper to 8-3/4x6-1/2".
Score the pattern paper at 4 1/2".
Attach a 4x6 photo to the front of the card.
Attach the embellishments as shown.

Once you've created the card, scan the card, crop out the background. Print the cards on photo paper and mail them out! This is a quick and easy solution for your Christmas cards and will only cost you about 10 cents per card after you buy your supplies, rather then spending a great deal of money on boring cards.

I love how my card turned out and I hope I inspired you in some way with this class!
