The funniest kid ever...

Yep, I think I might have the funniest kid ever :) Last week Edward walked into the kitchen and grabbed Daisy food bowl and took it into my scraproom. So I quietely sat back and watched him... He put the food bowl on the bottom shelf and walked into the kitchen and grabbed some pots and pans... and he made his very own kitchenette right in my scraproom. lol. I honestly don't know where he gets it because I'm not a cook. I guess he watches his daddy.

And tonight while I was organizing Edward and my craft area, he sat in my chair at the desk... and says, "hey mommy." When I turned around, he had my glasses on upside down. He is so funny and cute. I turned them so I could get a few pictures of my little nerd.

May Arts project

Hello. Today, I would like to share with you a layout I created for part two of May Arts Design Team Call. I had so much fun using mists and paint to alter my lace and ribbon on this layout. It's not everyday that I create something that I absolutely love but this one... I have to admit, It's a beauty!

While it may look a little time consuming, it really wasn't once the lace and flowers dried, the layout came together quickly.

I wanted to create a pleated border across my layout to add texture to my layout. This is such an easy technique and all you need to do this is a mini stapler and some lace or ribbon.  Simple staple a piece of lace to the paper, flip the lace back, staple again, pull the lace forward, staple and repeat this process across the paper.

Once I completed the border, I took a piece of ribbon that I had painted yellow and cut the flower out so I could create my own flower embellishment. I stapled the flower and a piece of lace directly to the layout to hold it in place. Then I tied the lace into a nice little bow and added a piece of bling to the centerpiece.

And here is the final outcome of my layout. The papers and stickers are from Glitz Design's Afternoon Muse Collection. And the jewels are from Zva Creative. I love this collection and I have secretly hoarding it for the right moment to use it. :)

Thanks for stopping by and please wish me luck because this is a team that I would love to be apart of! Who wouldn't like the opportunity to play with lots of fun ribbon in a variety of colors? Right?

Ribbon flowers

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I've been scrapping a bit and I am loving my newest creations using lots of Webster's Pages. It's amazing how new goodies can help the mojo and even more so when I use papers I am not used to buying and liking the results :)

Anyways, tonight I would like to share how I created the ribbon flower on this layout. I love this layout so much... Simple, but so pretty! And if you like what you see, you can get these beautiful items in this month's Truth kit. Simply click here! Please note, the jewels were not part of the kit, they came from my personal stash and you can get yours from Zva Creative's website!

  • I used my circle punch from Creative Memories to punch a 1 1/2" circle.
  • Then I used Tim Holtz's mini stapler to staple the ribbon starting from the outer edge of the circle, working my way in.
  • I used the chipboard flowers to cover the center since there was a tiny naked area...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

A boy and his dog.

Hello everyone. Nicole here. Today I would like to share two masculine layouts with you. For my first layout, I combined the Happy Travels and French Kiss collection to create a fun, masculine layout. I love these colors together. Gliz Design truly has a good eye for good products. I just love them to pieces!

Notice how I cut the star pattern from pattern paper.

I also cut out the little girl from the "Pretty in Pink" cardstock sticker so that I would have just a little boy and a dog in the sticker.

Glitz Design "French Kiss" Cardstock Stickers.
Glitz Design "Happy Travels" Whatnots.

Other supplies:

Fun walk on the trails

Hello! Just wanted to share a few photos from today. This morning we all got up at 9:30, ate breakfast and went to the park! We had such a fun time walking through the trails as a family! We even took Daisy with us. A few times she took off after some squirrels but she always came right back.

Before we left the house, Edward put his hat on... backwards. He was so cute getting his had adjusted on his head. It had to be just right.

And lets not forget ti. He came too.

Edward got tired of pulling his jeans up so he tried to take them off in the middle of the ball field. No one was around... lol.
