Beach fun

It was the perfect day for the beach. Not too hot, but warm enough to get into the water if we wanted to. We were down there for about two hours. It amazes me at how fast time passes when you're near the water. It was so peaceful! Edward wasn't too happy that no one was down there... he doesn't understand that it's Monday and most kids are in school or at camp... he's home with me because I decided to take a week off so that Meme could come spend some time with him. She lives in Florida and doesn't get up often... so this was a rare treat!

This boy loves his sticks. No matter where we go, he always finds one...

Amazingly, he didn't want his beach toys... he sat in this spot for an hour digging and thinking...

Aren't the clouds gorgeous? Sigh.

His little spot... he's still plugging away...

while Meme observes.

And then he came and asked me to see what he made. All that time he was digging and moving his hands around, he was building a volcano! What a clever boy. He showed me where the lava sprays out and how he made the streams for the lava to pour down. Folks, he's four! I'm so impressed with his creativity. The picture does not do it justice...

He's going to be an engineer... He's great with legos and he observes and likes to put things together... Aunt Katie will be proud. LOL.

He's enjoying every moment with Meme. LOVE this shot.
