Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! So this year, I was thinking that Edward would enjoy Halloween more than last year. Last year, he did not want to go knocking on doors and was done trick or treating within an hour. This year was no better. :( I think my mom is right. He might enjoy it more with other kids in the group. Next year, Pete and I will have to get together with some of his little friends and see how that goes. Even though he only lasted an hour this year, he made an awesome looking Ninja turtle!

He would not smile for me... but I was determined to get one... and this is the best I could do.

Such a sad little face. He could care less about the candy this year. He was more excited over the tattoos that Ms. Lori gave him!

Smile.

Happy Wednesday everybody! Hope you're having a great week. Today I have a fun layout to share with you using lots of beautiful products by Lemon Owl that was in the November "Homecoming" kit for Clique Kits. This was a great kit and I'm sad to say, my kit is almost gone. I have used it on 7 layouts! Yep, it's that good. And you might be able to get the kit today if you'd like to subscribe. Just click here and I'll take you right where you need to be. You can even get 10% off by using NICOLE10.

Anyway, the kids had a blast at the park the other day. They were driving me nuts so I had to get them out of the house. We spent two hours at the park! Of course I took like fifty photos, but I chose two of my favorite shots for this layout. I really love how this one turned out. It took me forever to finish because I just didn't like it... but I kept adding layers and layers and fell in love!

Day at the park

So last night, Edward had his first sleep over. We invited Parker over for the night. Pete and I took them trunk or treating last night. I don't know how I managed, but they didn't eat any candy last night and I had them asleep by 11:30pm. which is better than I had planned! ha. The kids had a blast.

I was hoping the boys would sleep until at least 9am, but they were up a little before 8am. Sigh. And they drove me nearly insane until 11am when I decided to take them to the park. It was the best decision ever. We were at the park for two hours and they had a blast. SCORE!

CHECK!

I just love this time of the year when the leaves start changing. Absolutely beautiful!

Family portrait

Hi everybody. Not much going on here. How about you? Today, I have a fun grid layout to share with you. This layout truly was easy to make. Just cut out three patterned papers to 3"x3" and print and crop a photo to 3"x3" and adhere it to the layout as shown. Adhere your stickers and transparencies. And then use a pen to draw photo corners at the top left and bottom right side of the layout. Include your journaling and you are set! I used a mini stapler to staple the little triangles at the bottom of the layout as well as the transparency houses.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned paper: Transparencies: Die cuts: Stickers: Basic Grey, "Moments" printable: Clique Kits, Mini stapler: Tim Holtz, Pen: Signo, Ribbon: May Arts.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget that you can you my coupon to save 10% at the Clique Kits school store! The code is NICOLE10. Enjoy!

October Clique Kits blog hop

Happy hump day everyone. Welcome to the Masquerade Ball Clique Kits blog hop! You should be arriving from Aliza's blog! And if you're lost, please start at the Clique Kits blog. Here's a fun layout that I created using the exclusive printables from the Masquerade Ball kit. LOVE these! They are so easy to use. Just print them on smooth, white cardstock and cut them out using scissors and you've got yourself some fun die cuts. Don't they look like regular die cuts? You can hardly tell the difference from the store bought die cuts to the printables. And the thing I like the most about the printables is that you can never run out of the printables. They are available on your computer for whenever you have a need for them again.

And here's my final layout.

And in case you've missed seeing my other layouts up on the blog this month. Here they are!

Supplies: Patterned paper: Stickers: Flair stickers: Basic Grey, Digital cut: Printables: Clique Kits.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Your next stop is Stephanie's blog. Enjoy!

2014 Light the Night walk

Last night marked my fourth year that I've been  participating in the Light the Night walk to help find a cure for cancer. I enjoy this event so much and it makes me feel knowing that I've made a difference for many people's lives. The NASA FCU team raised over 26K. This is amazing! If you've never been in Washington, D.C. for this event, it's absolutely beautiful. Thousands of people walk with their lanterns held high to show their support and to honor those loved ones that they lost from cancer.

We all walked 2 1/2 miles around the Capital. It was so beautiful... this picture just doesn't even come close to showing the beauty...

Papa John's Farm

Today Aunt Jamie and I went with Edward and his school on a field trip. We had so much fun at Papa John's. Edward said, "It was the best day ever"! So cute. I was worried that the fieldtrip would be canceled due to the rain, but the rain held off and we got to go! Yay.

The men were out there working this morning, picking potatoes.

I love the fall! The pumpkins looked so pretty in the field.

And this was neat. Cotton! I forget that cotton is actually grown...

Be still my heart.

Of course Edward freaked when he saw the Ninja turtle pumpkins. They were very cool!

Me and my little man. LOVE THIS!

They had baby goats and cows. They were so cute.

oh, and they had frozen pumpkins!

The mums were beautiful. I wanted to get some, but I don't know where I'd put them in my yard.

What a great morning we had at the farm!
