Happy Friday friends! Today, I have a fun layout to share with you. I used the July kit from Clique Kits which featured lots of goodies from Chickaniddy Crafts! I love the 345 collection! I've been wanting to play with some mixed media for a while now so I decided to pull out my gelatos and have fun with this layout. I had so much fun creating this layout. Although it to a lot of time to make, it was well worth it. What do you think? And I am going to share with you, step-by-step how easy the background was to make!
Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned paper: Stickers: Brads: Stamps: Enamel keys and arrow: Sticker alphas: Chickaniddy Crafts, Flair: Clique Kits, Paint dabber: Ranger (Pearl), Gelatos: Faber-Castell, Circle Stamps: Hero Arts, Washi tape: Freckled Fawn, Heart punch: Epiphany Crafts, Black pen: Marvy.
1st: Pick 3 of your favorite gelato colors. I picked yellow, blue, green and light pink.
2nd: Use the gelatos to cover the entire surface of the white cardstock. Don't worry if your gelatos break.
3rd: Once the entire paper is covered, use a paint brush and water to blend in the gelatos. Do one color at a time to avoid mixing the colors together. After you blend in the gels, use your fingers to smear the gels into the white cracks.
4th: Once the paper is dried, take a Pearl paint dabber by Ranger and dab several circles onto the paper.
5th: If you are looking to do a little more with your background, feel free to add a few stamped images or stencils. I added circles.
Once you are satisfied with the background of your layout, adhere your photo and start scrapping!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that I have inspired you to give gelatos a try. There may be gelatos available in the Clique Kits Store. Feel free to use coupon code "NICOLE10" to save 10% on your store purchase (excludes kits).
