Altered frames

Hi everyone. This year, I am determined to make more pretty things other than scrapbook layouts, cards and minis. I am going to try and do other things such as wall art for my scraproom and maybe some other things! I've noticed that if I want to get on a big design team, they often look for designers who are well grounded and who aren't afraid to alter stuff! So I'm gonna challenge myself to do that this year.

I still had a few pieces left from my Tailor Made kit by Clique Kits and thought the stickers and rub-ons would make a pretty wall set! The first thing I did was cut two pieces of cardstock and colored on them using my water color paints. I just love how soft the background looks. After the paint dried, I adhered the vellum flower sticker to one of the mats and the rub-ons and vellum heart on the other. I love this set and it looks fabulous on my wall! The 4x4 rustic frames are available at Amazon! They are really nice quality frames and I plan on buying a few more.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Vellum stickers: American Crafts, Rub-ons: American Crafts, Water color paint: Royal 7 Langnickel, 4x4 rustic frames: Amazon.

Gone fishing

Happy Friday! I don't know about you, but I am soooooo tired of this cold weather. I just want summer to be here already. It's so cold my fingernails hurt. I'm not kidding. You can bet I haven't been spending my time outside. I've been scrapping as much as I can these days. I am starting to get my scrappy mojo back and it feels good. Last year, I went into a funk. I barely scrapped. I just didn't enjoy it much, but now, I'm loving my scrapbooking hobby all over again! I NEED it. It's my therapy.

Here's another layout that I created using Chickaniddy Craft's Scrumptious collection. When I bought this collection, I didn't think I'd be scrapping summer photos with it, but that's exactly what I did. I love the grid paper and the graphics in this collection! And yes, I did include a few flowers on a boy's layout, but I like it... so I used it.

I seriously love this layout. Since I wanted the main focus of the layout to be the photos, I used the die cut frames to pull the viewers eyes directly to the center of the layout. I used the flower stickers and banners to help pull the layout together.

Supplies: Cardstock: Doodlebug Designs, Patterned paper: Stickers: Brads: Sticker alphas: Die cut frames: Chickaniddy Crafts, Pen: Signo-Uniball, Pop dots/glue dots: Scrapbook Adhesives.

January Clique Kits Pep Rally

Hi everyone. Welcome to the Pep Rally for Clique Kits! Here's a layout that I created using the January "Tailor Made" kit. I have been waiting awhile to get my hands on Amy Tangerine's "Stitch" collection and the wait was well worth it.

I can hardly believe that my son will be 5 next month! The soft pastels in this month's kit made me want to dig out my son's baby pictures! Ah, he was such a beautiful baby! And he still is... only now, he talks back and thinks he runs the house. HAHA.

Supplies: Cardstock: Patterned paper: Rub-ons: Enamels: Veneer: Thickers: American Crafts, Transparency word: Chic Tags, Washi tape: Glitz Design, Pen: Signo

Initially, I was going to try stitching within the heart veneer, but I honestly don't have the patience to do such a thing... so I ripped off some washi tape, applied a few rub ons, enamel and Veneer in a nice little cluster and moved on.
And since my sewing machine has been broken for some time, I decided to do some "fake" stitching on my layout. It's so easy to do. Get a ruler and pen, place and hold the ruler where you want to create your stitch and gently tap little dots in a straight line.
What do you think? For more inspiration, click here!

This month, why not try "fake" stitching on your layout or if you have a sewing machine that works, try sewing on your next project! Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate it. Your next stop is Cari. Enjoy!

# Love.

Today, Edward and Parker have been playing so nicely together with minimum complaints and arguments. They have been watching cartoons, playing with Nerf guns, Legos and amazingly, I was able to scrapbook a layout while the two of them played on their Kindals for an hour. Ah, the older these two get, the easier it is having them together. It's great! Well, it's still early, so that may change tonight when I try to get these two to sleep. Haha.

Anyway, I scrapped this quick and easy layout of the boys! Yes, I took this photo today and scrapped it. Go me! I love it. I used papers and stickers from Chickaniddy Craft's Scrumptious collection. Love how simple this is, but striking at the same time.

Oh happy day!

Hi everybody! Thanks for stopping by today. Today I have another layout up using the January "Tailor Made" kit by Clique Kits. I found this picture in my stash and realized that I never scrapped it last year! And so I thought, now is the perfect time. It's been really cold here. Edward and I are hoping for a few snow days soon!

I had a hard time deciding how to do my border. I tried a white border, orange, and blue and it just didn't look right. So I grabbed my washi tape that came as an add-on with the kit and made a border around the edge of my cardstock. Perfecto!

Supplies: Cardstock: Patterned paper: Vellum stickers: Thickers: Epoxy stickers: American Crafts (Amy Tangerine's Stitch Collection), Chipboard triangle: Creative Embellishments, Washi tape: Unknown.

Happy Monday everybody! Hope you had a great weekend. Not much going on around here. I finally cleaned my scraproom and took down the Christmas tree! Other than that, I haven't done much, but work. The holidays have worn me out. What about you?

If you haven't gotten your January Clique Kit yet, you're missing out. Seriously. I have created six layouts and two altered art work for my scraproom and I still have quite a bit left. I forgot that I had this picture of Edward with grandma and Marc. We had such a great time at the beach last year. I'm looking forward to going again! Hopefully, Marc will invite us again!

I'm excited that Amy Tangerine is coming out with another collection. I've loved all of her collections and I've never been disappointed. The woman knows what she's doing when it comes to scrapbooking.

Supplies: Cardstock: Patterned paper: Vellum stickers: Rub-ons: Thickers: American Crafts, Ribbon: May Arts, Sticker: Star: Wood veneer: Studio Calico, Arrow stamp: Glitz Design, Enamel dots: Doodlebug Designs.

My smiles begins with you

I am just getting around with scrapping my fall photos from Papa John's Farm. I love this photo and I've been holding onto it until I got some of Heidi's "Scrumptious" fall collection by Chickaniddy Crafts. It finally arrived last week and I've been using this collection like it's about to go out of style. I LOVE IT. This collection looks great in layers. It's such  a pretty collection. Edward looked at the layout and gave me a thumbs up. He liked it. So glad the little man approves.

Supplies: Patterned paper: Die cuts: Stickers: Brads: Sticker alphas: Chickaniddy Crafts.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today. I have another fun layout to share with you. I realize that the majority of my photos are black and white. I really can't help it. I love how the black and white photos look on paper, but every now and then, I'll throw a color photo in the mix. :) I decided to play with my January Clique Kit again. It's too pretty not to. My favorite part of the kit is the vellum stickers and the rub-ons! I can do so much with these fun embellishments! Amy Tangerine, if you're reading this, I love your "Stitch" collection. You rock!

Before I forget... Clique Kits is having a BIG sale with the majority of their store marked down to 50% due to CHA 2015.  Go check it out here! Get yourself a few things because you deserve it!

It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold outside, Edward prefers to be outdoors. While waiting for mom to meet us at Mischelle's house so we could carpool together to a Christmas party, Edward and I played at the park in the cold. He had the best time! I don't mind it as much because I usually get the best pictures when we are together outdoors!

Supplies: Patterned paper: Vellum stickers: Thickers: Rub-ons: Enamel dots: American Crafts, Metal embellishment: Waffle Flower, Triangle chipboard: Creative Embellishments.
Tip: Try rubbing your rub-on images onto patterned paper and then cut them out to add dimension to your layout.

I used several rub-ons on this journaling card. I really love how it turned out.

And I love how the Waffle Flower metal embellishment looks paired up with the vellum flower.

Chickaniddy Crafts

Yay, the UPS truck just left about an hour ago and I've been scrapping. I finally got some Chickaniddy Crafts goodies! I just love Heidi's fall collection and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Of course I had to buy everything in the collection. The polka dot paper and denim really looks like a happy combination, wouldn't you say? I just love it. I want to kick myself for not buying the stamp set too! The stamp on the layout is actually from Amy Tangrine's collection. I love her wood mounted stamps.

Supplies: Patterned paper: Stickers: Brads: Die cuts: Chickaniddy Crafts, Stamp: American Crafts.
