Love this

A few weeks ago, Edward said, "Mommy, I miss Parker." Parker is Edward's best friend. They've been best friends since the two of them were born. Parker is my boss's son. Kelly and I were pregnant at the same time! And the boys are three months apart. I often joke that Kelly and I don't need anymore children. We can just take turns swapping ours. HAHA. It really works.

I love the soft blues in the February Clique Kit. And the "Love this" die cut is my absolute favorite in the kit. As soon as I opened the kit, I spotted it and loved it. I knew instantly what I would do with it, because I just love this photo that I snapped using my cell phone of these little cuties. Also, the kit came with some Clique Kit exclusive cards! LOVE. So awesome.

Meet Hamlet

Hi everyone. I've been waiting to do a post on our newest addition to our family. And no it's not a dog or a kitty or a lizzard... Honestly, I told my husband not to get him initially because, well, minis pigs don't stay mini no matter what people say. I know this because i've talked with a few people who has had experience with piggies.

Well, my husband decided to ignore me and he went and got a mini pig. Let's just say, just because people say they are mini pigs... do your research like I did... They can get up to 100 pounds! Anyway, we have the little guy and I am not going to give him away... He is Edward's 5th birthday present.

When I first saw Hamlet, I was scared. He's so tiny and he's only 6 weeks old. And when Pete went to pick him up, the breader said he wouldn't eat hard food yet. He still needs to be bottle fed. Oh jeez... is right. It's not as bad as I thought. He arrived Thursday, February 19. Amazingly, he did really well on his first night. I thought for sure he'd cry all night, but I put him in bed with me and he slept snuggled against me all night. I've been snuggling him a lot since he's so little and I am sure he misses his mommy.

He had a few accidents on his first night because he was so confused with the set up but I've been putting him on a pad by the door every hour and I think he's getting it... I went upstairs this morning to grab something and when I came back down after trying to get him to go potty on the pad, he went. SCORE! I was so excited.

Also, I got him to eat normal food last night that the breeder said he would not eat... wouldn't have any part of it. I guess 30 ml of special formula is not enough and he's picking up on that. He ate some more food this morning so I'm very pleased. He is a HAPPY guy. Always, wagging his little tail.

I am aware that he's gonna be a lot of work in the beginning, but I feel confident that he will be fine. Pigs are the third smartest animals. Did you know that? They are smarter than dogs. Here are a few photos of our little guy.

Happy 5th birthday Edward Zane!

Today is a very special day! It's Edward's 5th birthday. I can't wrap my head around the fact that I now have a five year old!! Time is flying by too quickly. He seriously had a fabulous birthday. I was worried this morning with the snow, thinking that most of the people who RSVP'ed would not show due to the roads being bad, but all but one made it! Poor Riley.

I think you can tell by the pictures that Edward had a blast! I'm so glad. He is my absolute joy. He is my greatest blessing and I am so thankful to have this handsome little guy in my life. Happy birthday baby. I love you sooooooo much.

Edward and Parker. Best friends forever.

Let's go!

Hello everybody! This year, I've decided to switch things up a bit and give Project Life another go. I tried last spring and failed miserably. I've decided to stick with a 6"x8" sized album to keep it simple. After completing my first double page spread, I'm thinking I need to go a little bigger, but time will tell.

If you haven't seen the March Clique kit yet, you're in for a treat. There are lots of fun embellishments in this kit. I especially love the tiny text word strips and the acrylic shapes. Fun stuff! Oh and a girl can never have too many transparencies. I went to town with my embellishments for my first project life spread of the year. I thought they were perfect for the layout I had in mind.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned paper: Acrylic numbers: Transparancies: We R Memory Keepers, Transparency alphas: Pink Paislee, Tiny text: Cosmo Cricket, Badges: Clique Kits, Washi tape: Glitz Design, Star punch: Epiphany Crafts.

I love the "Believe in yourself" word strip. It went perfectly for the theme of my project life spread. The acrylic numbers and transparency alphas really helps make a statement. Wouldn't you agree.

I decided to punch a star shape from patterned paper and added it to my transparency frame. Love the look!

Smile more

Hello everyone. Today I have another fun layout to share with you using the March J'Adore Clique Kit. For someone who's not a big "Pink" person, I think I pulled it off with this layout. I combined the yellow polka dot transparency with some lime and black and white. Since there was enough pink and love showing up on this layout, I decided to pull out my Silhouette Portrait to cut a big star for my background. I am totally loving the cluster of embellishments on this layout! What can I say, I LOVE embellishments. I also took a scrap piece of patterned paper and punched a smaller star just to make it more interesting.

Here's a little close up of my cluster of embellishments. I used two foam squares layered beneath the heart badge to make it pop up slightly higher than the heart veneer.

February Clique Kits Pep Rally

Hi everyone. Welcome to the Pep Rally for Clique Kits! Here's a layout that I created using the Punsxsutawney kit. I love all of the different patterns in this kit. You can probably tell by looking at my layout. I couldn't decide on what patterns to use so I used them all!

I've had this photo photo mat that I purchased in the Silhouette America store awhile back and thought, why not challenge myself to use it. I love how it looks!

Supplies: Cardstock: Patterned paper: Chipboard: Stickers: American Crafts, Enamel dots: Doodlebug Design, Digital die cut: Die cutting machine: Silhouette America.

My main squeeze

Hi everyone I decided to try for the Silhouette America Design Team. I'm not sure if they will accept me, but at least I tried. I have to be honest, I'm no pro with using my Silhouette Portrait. I received it a year ago for Christmas and I am still learning how to use it, but I do LOVE it! It's really a great tool and it has saved me money because I can create my own die cuts and titles!!

Have you seen the gorgeous February kit by Clique Kits? I will admit that I wasn't thrilled at first. The colors are very soft and girly... But I managed to pull off this adorable masculine page. And the heart cut is an exclusive cut from Clique Kits! I love it and was tempted to fill in the heart with different patterns, but I was too lazy and opted against it... haha. I like to keep things simple!

Scrumptious

I've had this cute photo of Edward's sleep buddies for over a year and have yet to scrap them until today! I hate wasting scrapbook goodies, so I  decided to use a few scraps of paper that I had left over from Chickaniddy Craft's Scrumptious collection  to complete this layout! I really love Heidi's choice in patterns and colors for this collection and I can't get enough of the denim paper! Great collection! I think I've scrapped over 7 layouts using this collection. I am officially out of papers for this collection! So you won't see anymore layouts from the "Scrumptious" collection, but she has some new collections coming out and I am patiently waiting to get my hands on them.

Mini album for mom

Happy Monday friends. Normally, I make mini albums for Christmas gifts and this year, I didn't because I just didn't have the time or energy. I knew that mom would be disappointed and she was. Last week, while I was talking to her, she mentioned that I needed to make her a new mini because she looks at them when she's sad... They help make her happy. As she is telling me this, I spotted a pile of mini albums that I have made for her for the past few years on her nightstand so I knew that she REALLY does enjoy them. I was honestly touched that I could bring her so much joy with my creations.

So when I got the beautiful February kit from Clique Kits, I decided to create a quick and easy mini album for her! I just printed off a few of my favorite photos from last year and started applying die cuts and stickers throughout the mini album. Seriously, I created this adorable mini in under 60 minutes. I hope she likes it.

Disney on Ice

Hi everyone. I'm back with the Disney on Ice picures! Momom paid for Jamie, Edward and I to Disney on Ice for Edward's birthday! He was so excited and I am surprised that he managed to sit still the entire time!

We got him the Lightening McQueen light up toy, a snow cone in a fun cup that lit up and cotton candy... and man was it EXPENSIVE, but worth it... We don't do things like this often so it was not a problem. I already expected to spend about $60 bux on food and toys for the little man.

Aunt Jamie being silly... hehe.

Mickey and Mini!

My favorite, Goofy...

They started out with the cars and wow was Edward excited!!! Words cannot explain how happy my little boy was, as he said, "Mater!"

Neato!

Under the sea...

Tinker Bell

And my absolute favorite was the second half of the show when they did the Toy Story performance. Such a great show and I loved the costumes and props! Well worth it...

I had this barbie when I was a little girl and it was my favorite!!

Haha, look at the clothes rack. Perfection.

Loved the ending with Andy saying good-bye to his toys before he leaves for college...

They had giant claws come down from the ceiling, but I couldn't get a picture in time... But it was cool to see.

The end.
