Project life spreads

Hi everyone. Its hard to believe that I have a kindergartener. Seriously, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that my baby is no longer a baby anymore. These last five years have flown by so fast, it's terrifying. It's a gentle reminder to enjoy each and everyday and count my blessings. I am forever grateful or everything that I have. And mostly, I am so grateful for having a supportive family.

I realized that I hadn't shared my project life spread last month so I am sharing two today! I really enjoying receiving Ali Edward's story kits every month. They force me to use the prompts to think outside of the box and scrap those memories. I've always been a big fan of Ali and I can prove it with just one photo. Yep, I have all of her idea books. If you noticed, most of my layouts includes a story and I've been doing it since I've become a fan of Ali Edwards. She has inspired me to share my stories from the very beginning.

I agree, I am not a BIG fan of project life, but I like the challenge and I like to mix it up a bit. So that's why I create at least one project life spread of my "favorite" photo each month.

And here are my project life spreads for August and September. I was excite about the "Build" kit since I have so many pictures of Edward building Lego sets together. A perfect match if you ask me.

Playing with layers

Hello everyone. Today, I have another fun layout to share with you using the August Clique Kit. I really had fun with this kit. This was my last layout and since I was running low on products from the kit, I decided to use up my scraps for this layout. I really hate wasting paper. In fact, we recycle in this house... so I try to use as much of the kit as possible before putting throwing my scraps in the recycle bin.

I decided to scrap in layers for this one. I kept the layout pretty simple because I felt like the patterns made the layout look busy enough. I love this photo that Aunt Jamie took of us while we were at the beach. Check out my son's face? Can you tell that he loves having his picture taken? haha I am not really big on the pineapple trend, but I do like the washi tape that came with the kit so I decided to use it at the bottom of the layout to help pull it together.

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Patterned Paper: Puffy stickers: Die cuts: Washi tape: Pink Paislee, Patterned paper: Webster's Pages, Enamel dot: Freckled Fawn, Stickers: Bella Blvd. (from stash).

My escape

Hi everybody. Today, I have a friendship layout to share with you. I tried to be creative with the "Treasure Island" collection by Pretty Little Studio. I wanted to create a non-beach/vacation layout with this gorgeous collection so I decided to create a friendship layout. Mischelle and I have been friends for over 16 years and she is who I call when I need an escape from my family for a few hours. Even though, we rarely have enough time together, she is there and ready for me when I call and I just love that about her. She holds a special place in my heart. Do you have anyone like that in your life? They are rare and I am fortunate to have such a supportive friend.

Pretty Little Studio Products: Treasure Island: Paper Pack 4x6, Stickers: Adventure Watercolor, Stickers Tiny ABC White, Garland Lighthouse Bunting Flags, Die-Cuts/Arrow Adventure, Tabs/Treasure Map.

Play date with Parker

Today, was a fun day. We had Parker over for the day. We went to the Park for awhile then to McDonalds so they could play. These kids bicker so much... they fight like brothers, but they love each other so much. It's a love-hate relationship between these two. LOL

Here are some of my favorite pictures from today. I got a lot of good ones. :) First thing's first. I just love this one. hehe. These boys are mischievous. Just look at their faces.

I love that I made something so beautiful... He really is a handsome kid.

Aw, seriously. They are so affectionate.

He used to be able to squeeze between the two trees, but now he's too big.

Best buds forever. Edward will cooperate when it comes to getting his pictures taken with his BFF, but when I want him to get them with me, it's a no.

Give these boys a big stick and they're entertained.

Something about this picture, makes me wanna cry.

This boy knows how to work it... I give him that. He wanted to stay a little longer.

one day at a time

Happy Sunday all. I just received Ali Edward's "Build" story kit for August. I really like the washi that came in this month's kit as well as the chipboard. Yesterday, Katie posted on Facebook that she still loved a photo collage from a year ago so I snagged it, printed it and scrapped it because that's what I do. I create things for my family.

I went through my box of scraps and used some puffy stickers, buttons, jewels, die cuts and stickers that haven't been touched in awhile. Also, I pulled out some mist and splashed some teal, read and gold dots onto the paper. I really like how this turned out. It's such a fun layout.

You make me so happy

Hello all. Can you believe that it's almost September already? It's scary how fast time flies. I am actually ready for the fall though. It's been a really hot summer! Have you seen the September Clique Kit, Capture? It's a gorgeous kit full of Cocoa Vanilla Studio, American Crafts, Studio Calico and some really awesome cards, cut files and flair. Check it out. Oh, and this month, we have exclusive stickers that were created by Clique Kits and manufactured by Pretty Little Studio! What an awesome collaboration.

I love frames in any size, shape and form, therefore, when I opened my kit and saw them, I immediately set them aside. I think it's fun filling in frames with a few embellishments. What do you think? The photograph in the layout isn't the best, but I love how happy I look! Sometimes, I do not feel as happy on the inside as I do on the outside...

A few close-ups. I created the background using the exclusive cards that came with the kit by adhering them to the base of my layout, side-by-side.

August Clique Kit Pep Rally

Hi everybody. It’s Nicole here, wishing you a fabulous Wednesday! Welcome to the August Pep Rally. This month, we hope to inspire you with a variety of projects using  pieces of the Pink Paislee's "Citrus Bliss" collection. I think this kit is fruit-tastic! What do you think?

For our challenge this month, we went with an “Anything Goes”, so I decided to challenge myself to use the exclusive cut file and printables in this month's kit. Believe it or not, this layout took me over an hour to create. I just couldn't decide what I wanted to do with the cut file and printables, but in the end, it came together nicely.

The Pep Rally, for those of you who are new to the Clique, is our monthly subscriber and design team blog share typically held the third week of the month and participants earn product credits-yes, free stuff to do what you love-who can beat that? It's out with the old, in with the new time at Clique Kits when we (hopefully) have all killed our kit from the previous month and have lots to show off, and we start to chat and hype the excitement for the coming month’s kit. In other words, we party! We don’t leave out our guests-there is always a prize for a hopper who comments on each post and likes and shares on social media! Just leave a new comment for each like and share for a separate entry in the random drawing for this month’s prize. One lucky person will win this month’s Ambrosia kit that is sold out! Get the word out and have your friends join our Pep Rally because they might end up with this gorgeous kit at their doorsteps!

Here’s today’s line up:

Feel free to hop in any order, if you get lost, you can always come back here to find your place. For this layout, I printed my printables on white cardstock and hand-cut them out. For the cut file, I used a spray adhesive (E6000 Spray Adhesive) to adhere It to my layout since the letters are thin. It worked like a charm. If you look closely, I snuck something from the September Kit on this layout. :)

Products used: Cardstock: American Crafts, Stampin'Up, Vellum die cuts: Cocoa Vanilla Studio, Printables/Cutfile: Clique Kits, Heart stamp: Ali Edwards, Mini stapler: Tim Holtz, Die-cutting machine: Silhouette.

Now, hop along and see what our design team and subscribers have been working on. Don’t forget to check out the gallery on the website landing page featuring our Varsity Team (design team) projects using the August kit and check out the Monthly Kit page for all the details about next month’s amazing Clique Kit Ambrosia. Take care!
