Happy Friday everyone! Today, I want to share a new layout I created using the June "La Dolce Vita" kit. I love the pretty papers and embellishments by Elle's Studio in this kit. Seriously, this is one pretty kit.

For this layout, I layered some tags and die cuts using foam squares to make an impact on my layout. A girl can never have too many die cuts. I used the pretty Jillibean Soup Paper for my base and the sticker for my title. And because sometimes, we need a gentle reminder that "there's something good in every day" I stamped that sentiment at the bottom of my layout. I love Precious Remembrance Shop's stamps. Check them out here in the shop!

Here are a few close-ups:
I added some white twine to add a little home-spun appearance on my layout.
I love how the labels look clustered together with a few more die cuts.

May Clique Kits Blog Share

Hi everybody. It’s Nicole here, wishing you a fabulous Wednesday! Welcome to the May Pep Rally. This month, we hope to inspire you with the "Northern Lights" kit. I am loving all the Fancy Pants papers, journaling cards and the exclusive die-cuts this month! What do you think? Gorgeous.

For our challenge this month, we challenged everyone to use white space on their projects. I love the look of a layout with lots of white space, but every now and then, I like to mix it up a bit.

The Pep Rally, for those of you who are new to the Clique, is our monthly subscriber and design team blog share typically held the third week of the month and participants earn product credits-yes, free stuff to do what you love-who can beat that? It's out with the old, in with the new time at Clique Kits when we (hopefully) have all killed our kit from the previous month and have lots to show off, and we start to chat and hype the excitement for the coming month’s kit. In other words, we party! We don’t leave out our guests-there is always a prize for a hopper who comments on each post and likes and shares on social media! Just leave a new comment for each like and share for a separate entry in the random drawing for this month’s prize. One lucky person will win this month’s Northern Lights kit! Get the word out and have your friends join our Pep Rally because they might end up with this gorgeous kit at their doorsteps!

Feel free to hop in any order, if you get lost, you can always come back here to find your place. This month, I decided to play with my stamps. I love stamping, but I don't pull them out enough. However, when I saw the Precious Remembrance stamps, I couldn't help myself. I was so inspired to create my own background for my layout. I used a few journaling cards and die-cuts to decorate the center of the circles. Believe it or not, once I stamped the images onto the cardstock, this layout was super quick and easy to put together.

Supplies: Cardstock: Stampin'Up, Journaling cards: Die-Cuts: Clique Kits, Flair: Tag: Stickers: Fancy Pants Designs, Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Ali Edwards, Ink: Stampin'Up.

Hello Adventure

Hello everyone. I have had so much fun playing with the Hello Heather collection this month. I seriously cannot get enough of this gorgeous collection. I love the patterns, colors and overall feel to this collection. Great job Heather! Today, we are featuring Die-Cuts (my favorite embellishments) up on Pretty Little Studio's blog. Here is a really quick and easy layout I created using mainly Journaling cards and die cuts! Super easy. I may need to hit the shop for more Hello Heather goodies real soon! What do you think? Have you played with this collection yet? What is your favorite?

Meet Zipper

Hello scrappers! Nicole here today to share my new pet with you in a layout. :) A few months ago, I needed to go to Petsmart for puppy pads and Edward had me walking out with a pink Beta for him. However, when we were there, I saw a blue Beta I liked, but didn't buy it.

Well, a day later, I went back for the little guy! I couldn't help it. He was so blue and beautiful, I had to have him. I named him Zipper because he is always zipping around his tank.

For this layout, I used the May Clique Kit and the UPC cut file! I think cut file looks really neat on this layout! I had fun pulling the remaining cut file from my mat. It came off the mat like a little maze. :)

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Journaling card: Clique Kits, Flair: Stickers: Fancy Pants Designs, Die cuts: Basic Grey, Clique Kits, Digital Cut file: Just Nick Studio.

It's messy and I love it

Hi everyone. I don't know about you, but I love this gorgeous paper by Fancy Pants Designs that is in the May Clique Kit. It's beautiful isn't it? When I first started pushing papers around, I realized that I didn't really want to cover this paper up that much. But I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. So, I got out my stamps and Silhouette pens and started doodling and stamping all over the paper to make it more artsy. Have you seen these awesome stamps by Precious Remembrance Shop? I love them and we have some available in the shop!

After stamping the arrows and hearts onto the paper, I used a white silhouette pen to fill in the shapes to make them stand out more.
I used the scribble stamp image to make the flowers a little messier. I love it.
A little tip: When using black ink and the image doesn't turn out clear, use a black marker to fill in the image.
Notice the difference?

Good morning scrappers! Today, I have another layout to share with you, featuring the Here+there collection. I love this collection. The color combination is fantastic. For this layout, I used a small bowl to draw circles to frame my photo collage and then I used a pen to hand-doodle some little scribbles. I also used a little bit of chalkboard mist in blue. This was such a quick and easy layout to create. I love the simplicity of this layout because it allows the focus to be on the photos which is what I had initially wanted.

Edward's art...

Hello everyone. I don't have much to share. And no, I am not sharing a layout today. :) I decided to share a few of my son's most recent art work. His Meme lives in Florida and I know that she checks my blog from time-to-time so I wanted to share a few little things.

Edward made this fun little painting a little while ago when they were learning about how to protect the earth by recycling! I love this so much because I have been recycling for over 16 years. My family thinks I am crazy because I am always looking in the trash to make sure there are no bottles etc.

And since it's Teacher's appreciation week, I had Edward draw Miss. Geinzer a card to go along with her gift we bought her. When I asked Edward what he wanted to buy Miss. Geinzer, he mentioned that she really likes candy. And he wanted to get her a cooler. We got her lots of candy, a new cup from Starbucks that Edward picked out and a gift card. He loves Miss. Geinzer and so do I. She is such a great teacher. He has learned SO much this year and knows all 60 sight words. I am one proud mommy. This summer, we will be starting the sight words for 1st grade!

Isn't this picture too cute for words? He drew the entire Minecraft crew. My little artist.

Washi fun

Hello everyone. Today, I decided to play with my MAMBI washi tape. I used several strips of washi tape to create a fun, colorful and happy background for my layout. Then I cut the dreamcatcher 1 digital die cut from white cardstock to use as a frame for my photo collage. I love how happy this layout turned out. Just me and my little guy enjoying a little sunshine at the park!

Supplies: Cardstock: Stampin'Up, Washi tape: MAMBI, Die cuts: Basic Grey, Clique Kits, Journaling card: Stamp: Ali Edwards, Tag: Fancy Pants Designs, Enamel heart: Bella Blvd., Digital Cut file: Just Nick Studio.
Here are a few close-ups:
Tip: Try using tiny glue dots to adhere your digital cut files. It works like a charm!

Hello everyone. It's hard to believe that I am coming up on my 12th anniversary. And I've been with my husband for 17 years. Just recently, I started looking through our photos and pulled a few of my very favorites out to scrap this fun layout. I LOVE this month's sketch. What about you? I think the yellow cardstock really makes the colors pop on this layout. I used foam squares and some vellum tape to decorate my journaling card.
