True

Hello all. I've been playing with Bella Blvd. again. The "Whatever is Lovely" collection has some of my favorite colors and patterns! For one, I love yellow and teal. And another reason I love this collection is because it has butterflies, fun patterns and it's just really pretty. haha I used the "Lazy Daisies" from Just Nick Studio's shop. Love this digital cut file! The cut file comes in a variety of sizes so that you can layer them to achieve the look you want.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Stickers: Enamel Dots: Bella Blvd., Acrylic Paint: Studio Calico, Digital cut files: Just Nick Studio, Other: Tag.

A few close ups:

I hand cut the butterfly from patterned paper to use as a die cut for my tag.

Also, I used a thin paint brush to highlight some of the words in yellow paint.

Adventure

Hello friends! In January, my sister Katie went to Hondouras for two weeks to help build a school for the children. I couldn't be more proud of her. She is awesome and brave, just like her big sister. :) I wanted to scrap this layout for her. The Pinterest inspiration had me thinking of circles and flowers and since I didn't have any flowers, I decided to use the gorgeous feather die cuts that I purchased from Pretty Little Studio from their Wonderland collection. I love how bits and pieces of this collection works well for non-wintery themed layouts.

Pretty Little Studio Wonderland: 8X8 Paper/ Shivering, Clear/ Rainy/Slate, Stickers: Winter Words, Clear/ Snow Cream Word Art, Die-Cuts/Sparkle City, Flair/ Hot Cocoa, Journaling Cards/ Winter Song.

Simple Mini

Hello everybody. It's been a long time since I created a mini album so I decided that it was time. I used lots of pieces from the April Clique Kit, Origins. This kit is chocked full of Simple Stories goodies. I must admit, I normally do not use Simple Stories, but I am looking to change that. Their products are outstanding. My favorites from the kit include the clear stickers! They helped decorate my mini album in a snap.

I started out by cutting the journaling cards from one of the Simple Stories papers. They are 4x6 and worked perfectly for what I was planning to do. Then I printed a few 4x6 photos out in black and white and some in color. Then I decorated the cover. I like creating the cover of my minis first. It helps get my mojo flowing.

I used sticky double-sided tape to adhere the photos to the back of the journaling cards that I did not want to use in the mini. You can use regular adhesives to do this as well. Either one works fine.

Once I had the photos adhered the cards, I used my Bind-It-All to bind my book together. This tool has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. I've had it for over ten years now and love it.

Here is the inside of my mini. I do not add embellishments to my mini until I bind the book together first because if you embellish the pages first, it's harder to bind the book together due to the bulkiness of the mini.

And here are some of the little details of my mini. Like I said, the clear stickers helped me create this layout in a snap!

Ringling And Bailey Bros Circus

One of my favorite childhood memories is going to the circus! I remember my mom taking me once and the school another. I really thought Edward would enjoy it, but honestly, he didn't really enjoy it as much as I hoped. I am guessing the first half was a doozy because he is not a big fan of clowns... and a lot of the first half involved clowns dancing around.

However, during the second half, I heard him get excited a few times. He really enjoyed the bikes, elephants, walking dogs and tigers and so did I. Here are my favorite shots. I was just getting over the flu and I honestly should have stayed home. But momom bought the tickets a month ago, and I didn't want to miss it. :(

This lady was holding a big snake. Yuck.

The camels were really neat! I didn't realize you can train camels to dance.

I must admit, I was slightly bummed that they still had elephants. There were protesters out front and they made me sad because I am with them... Elephants belong in the wild, but if we did not go to see them, they would be worse off in my opinion. Regardless, if we pay to go to circus or not, these elephants need to be fed and part of our admissions pay for their food. And I was looking closely to see if they looked neglected in any way and they didn't have any visible marks which made me feel better. I love elephants. They are beautiful and smart creatures and it breaks my heart to know that most elephants are abused in the circus. :(

More clowns. :)

This guy is nuts. This is so dangerous. You couldn't pay me enough to do something like this to entertain others...

These tigers are beautiful... seriously. I love WHITE tigers.

This dog was walking all over the place. teehee... literally.

I really couldn't believe how smart these poodles were. Look at them holding each other up, getting ready for a smaller pup to jump over their paws.
