Jamie's Bridal Shower

Hi scrappers. How about I share a mini album with you today?! It's been awhile since I made one and I've been itching to make a small mini album for my sister Jamie, using photos from her bridal shower back in February. The "With All My Heart" collection is perfect for scrapping bridal showers and weddings! You'll be seeing more layouts by me using this collection in May after Jamie's wedding! :)
This mini album is super easy to make. I started out by cutting several pieces of patterned paper down to 4x6 and adhering 4x6 photos to the back of the papers.

I used several die cuts, cut-aparts and tags to decorate the inside of my album. And a few flairs. The die cuts in this collection are sooooo pretty!

See, you can never have too many die cuts. They look so good layered together in a nice big cluster.

I really love the "You & Me" paper. Isn't it pretty. Love that aqua! I added several tiny sticker words throughout the album on the photos to help tell my story.

Love

Happy Monday friends. I picked up the little man, fed him dinner, fed the animals, showered and managed to scrapbook a layout to unwind. I just needed an hour to scrap. I haven't really felt like scrapping for weeks and today, I finally got the urge to just scrap a layout doing whatever I wanted.
I pulled out Altenew's Reflection Kit and got to work. I love the gorgeous patterns in this collection! Seriously, they are beautiful. I am not big on flowers, but I love this floral paper...

I love the transparency embellishments and chipboard. Gorgeous stuff. I used the "meet up and love this" stamps from the Reflection mini stamps. Once I had the embellishments in place, I splashed some black mist on to the layout.

We had such a fun time on this particular night... :) What more can we ask for? The bar had alcoholic slushies. YUM. LOL

Live for the Moment

Hi everyone. Nicole here, with a fun technique! A few weeks ago I wanted to find a way to use the Butterfly cut file from Just Nick's Studio's shop, without having to actually cut the image. I did not want to have to peel the cut file from the cutting mat. I was feeling lazy. LOL The first thing I did was open the image in the Silhouette program. Then I changed the color of the image to a teal color using the Fill Color icon.

Then I clicked on the print button at the top of the screen and selected my color printer.

I printed the butterflies on the "Dream On" paper to add a bit more color! I love how the circles and butterflies blend together.

I love the teal, orange and gray together. It's such a beautiful color combination. It really makes this layout pop.
A few close ups:
Once I had the photo adhered down, I splashed a few drops of spray ink onto the layout. I tucked a die cut piece behind the speech bubble clip to add color. What do you think about the flair in this month's kit? I love that font!

I hope your visit today was inspiring! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to stop by!

Hello Love

Hi everybody. Nicole here with a fun mixed media layout. Every once in a while, I like to get messy and when I say messy, I really mean it. By the time I completed this layout, my fingers were stained purple and teal. What a pretty combination!

For this layout, I used the Kaleidoscope cut file. This looks so pretty inked up.

I decided to use the digital cut file as a stencil and embellishment for my layout.

I used Clique Kit's April kit to decorate my layout once the mist was dry.

I used a few floral stamps by Altenew complete the layout. The layout looked like it needed more so I pulled out my stamps and started stamping and cutting the images from patterned paper.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope you have a great week!

Happy

Happy Monday friends! Today, I am sharing a layout I created using the Marigold Collection. I wanted to create a layout with softer colors and felt that this collection would be perfect. I love the softer color pallet of this collection. It looks so serene. For the base of my layout, I added a few pieces of patterned paper and a few journaling cards. I love journaling cards; In fact, I can't get enough of them.

I used the jounaling carnations bookmark tags to journal on. I trimmed the white space around the tag using scissors.

I stamped "You are my fave" on to the tab and tucked it behind the top-right side of the photo. It's a little crooked, but that's OK. The metallic star journaling cards are from the "Here comes the sun" collection.

Oh boy

Happy hump day friends! We are halfway through the week and I am here today to share this adorable layout of my toothless little boy. For months, Edward has asking why he hasn't lost any teeth while his friends have and I had no real good answer for him, other than his time will come.
Well, that time has come and now he is toothless! He finally lost his first tooth, just a month after he turned 7. And he is so proud. LOL

For this layout, I used the String Circle cut file. I've been wanting to try this cut file out for some time now. Awhile ago, I tried cutting it, but this cut file doesn't cut too well with a portrait due to the small lines so I decided to use my sketch pen! A girl can still have fun... right?!

While going through my stash, I came across Jillibean Soup's "Cool as a cucumber" collection. I love how well the colors in this collection goes with the silly photos! The string circle really makes this layout pop. I just love it...

I wasn't quite sure where I was going to include my journaling so I decided to add it to the bottom left-side of the layout. I used a roller stamp to make it more interesting.

Eat

Hello friends. After being sick for almost a week with the flu and Strep throat, I am finally feeling alive again... what a rough week it was. I've been itching to use Ali Edward's story kit, Eat for a layout. This past fall, while Edward and I were having pizza for lunch, I gave him my phone and asked him to take a photo of me with my pizza (I mean, ours...). He did a great job! Takes after his mommy. So proud.

We love pizza in my house. I am pretty sure we could eat it every night if we could, but MOD pizza isn't cheap and mommy can't afford that. And, making it at home is NOT the same. Right? You pizza lovers know exactly what I mean. Frozen pizzas simply does not cut it.

I had Amy Tangerine's On A Whim 6x6 paper pad full of pretty papers in my stash and since the paper pack had a patterned paper with pizza, I thought it would be perfect on this layout! I love how the acrylic "eat" embellishment looks on this layout.

And the wood veneer fork! I decided to use red ink to change the color of the fork to make it pop blend better with the layout. Oh, and because I didn't quite have enough pizzas on this layout, I added the adorable rubber pizza embellishment to my journaling card! :)

And now, I am ready for some pizza. I am hungry after creating this fun layout. HAHA. Thanks Ali Edwards for creating the best story kits. I enjoy receiving them each month and challenging myself to share at least one story each month using this fabulous kits.
