Celebrate the Everyday

Good morning friends. I've been having so much fun playing with Vicki Boutin's All the Good Things collection. A few days ago, I pulled out my stencils, art crayons and just created something... this layout was totally mindless. I love playing with mixed media products. Seriously, you can't make a mistake... and the after effect is AMAZING.

To begin, I scribbled some of the blue crayons on plastic then added water and blended the crayon with the water to create a gorgeous watercolor background using a stencil. I dabbed the ink onto the stencil using a dabber.  I didn't worry too much about weather it was perfect... I wanted the writing stencil to kind of fade in the background.

I used the blue marker to trace the stencil above the photo collage. I had another one in orange, but that got covered up... I had every intention of having two of them... but sometimes when I create, it doesn't always turn out the way I had visioned.

I matted the photo using patterned paper, then adhered a die cut frame over the matted photo. I tucked a few die cuts behind the photo mat to make it pop as well as two tags to the left-side of the photo. I used foam squares to pop the "Celebrate The Everyday" sticker off the frame a bit. Then I added the star, epoxy and today die cut as shown.

I LOVE butterflies so I couldn't help but cut the clip part of this adorable die cut to use as an embellishment on my layout.

I honestly cannot wait to play with my stencils and art crayons again. The crayons are SOOOOO easy to use.

Thanks for visiting today!
