IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE

Good morning friends! I'm back with a simple, but fun layout I created using the multi heart stamp from the Everyday Stamp Set by Precious Remembrance Shop.

As I was embellishing this layout, I realized that I wanted some more hearts on the bottom right-side corner, but I didn't want to stamp on the photo itself. To prevent the additional hearts from being stamped on the photo, I covered that portion of the acrylic stamp with patterned paper. Then, I very carefully flipped the stamp over on the part that I wanted to stamp the hearts.

I bought these die cuts and paper pad from Clique Kits awhile back, but never used them. I forgot all about them until I was looking through my stash today to create a pretty layout.

I layered several pieces of die cuts at the top right-side corner of the photo using foams squares and glue to add dimension. I added a turquoise gem to the center to add more dimension.

I love that "it's the little things in life" sentiment from the Everyday Things Stamp collection.

I outlined the "together forever" sticker using a black pen to make it stand out a bit.

Here is a closer look at the flowers. Isn't it gorgeous? Love the watercolors!

ME+YOU

This morning, I was just thinking about the fact that my 15 year anniversary is coming up this May. That is a long time to be married to someone...and that doesn't include the 5 years, we dated! I wanted to create a fun, mixed media layout of the two of us. I wanted a fun colorful background and lots of gems. 15 gems to be exact; one for each year that I have been married. Honestly... I did not plan the 15 gems... once I completed the layout, I counted them because I was curious as to how many I added subconsciously.

I added lots of gems around the doodled circle. 15 gorgeous gems for 15 hard years of marriage...

I love these big foam stickers by Jillibean Soup!! They work great for big titles for your layouts...

BASICALLY FLAWLESS

Happy Saturday friends. I was going to come home and take a nap after I got home from work today, but then I got a second wind and started scrapbooking this layout for Pinkfresh Studio's March Inspiration challenge. I went through my Pinkfresh Studio stash to see what I could come up with. And hey...I finally used a few metal dies! They have been sitting on my desk, un-opened for months. I am such a lazy scrapper some days...

Here is the Inspiration for the March challenge. There's still time to participate. What you got in your stash?

Here are a few close-ups of my layout. Lot's of layers on this layout. I just love creating layers using patterned paper and die cuts.

I cut the square sentiments from patterned paper to create a fun little grid then ran my metal die through my die cutting machine to create a large title to tuck behind the cluster of papers.

I used my die cutting machine to create a few floral branches to help frame the center of the layout.

I pulled the hearts and clip from my stash to help use up what I have...

Thanks for visiting today. Click here if you would like to participate in this challenge. Every now and then, I like to participate in challenges to get me thinking outside the box a bit. Try new color combinations that I wouldn't normally use.

FEELING PLAYFUL

Hi everybody. Have you seen the Stargazer collection by Paper House? Seriously, if you haven't, go check it out. This collection is perfect for those little boys who collect gems and rocks as a hobby. My son, Edward loves collecting rocks and gems. He is so fascinated by them. Often at times, he will come at me with a random fact on where a certain mineral came from and how it forms. I am always dumb-founded by how smart he is.

These papers are soooo pretty in person. Several of the sheets of patterned paper has gold foil on them and they are beautiful. I cut the circles from patterned paper. Then I mounted them on the page using foam squares and glue.

I added the gold and black heart from my stash. Then I added a few of the stickers from the Stargazer sticker packs. They are so shiny and pretty. :)

I added a variety of strips of patterned paper and stickers to pull this layout together and to help frame the photos into a nice design.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello everybody! I'm back with another fun layout I created using Precious Remembrance Shop's Everyday Stamp Set. I have been trying to think of a fun, creative and unique layout I could create using the multi- paint splashes; I'm not quite sure what you call this stamp so we will just go with that. Also, I love that this set has a "Happy Birthday" stamp because this little boy of mine just turned 9 and I found a neat way to include the stamp on my layout.

I love the teal with the black. It looks so striking. I decided to add a little yellow to break up the colors a bit.

I started this layout by stamping multiple paint splatters so they were close together, but not too close.

Then I placed the photo at the end to get an idea of where I wanted to place the photo.

I pulled the "choose" foam stickers from my stash to use as a large title across the top of the layout. Then I used tiny sticker letters to complete the title with a little faux stitching.

I added some black hearts throughout the background to add dimension. Then I stamped "Happy Birthday" all over the background.

I felt that the top needed something more so I added the little speech bubble with a foam square above the title.

I matted the photo using some patterned paper and then tucked a card and mini tag behind it.

Here is a closer look at the journaling. As an after thought, I added the yellow word stickers. I like how they look!

MY HEART

Last month, for Edward's 9th birthday I took him shopping to pick out his own gifts. He was not expecting this and he was very excited about it! While we were shopping, he glanced over at the Sunglasses and kept walking. This kid LOVES sunglasses... but he didn't stop. Let me just say, he does not ask for much... so knowing this, I asked him if he would like to check out the glasses and he shook his head. So we went over there and he was in his own little world trying on multiple pairs until he found a pair that fit. He found these sunglasses and they were perfect for him. He has such a goofy personality. My heart literally stopped when I saw him in these shades. He is so freaking handsome.

I created this layout for the Canvas Corp Brands monthly challenge. I love the color scheme and this photo was perfect for this layout! Feel free to join in on the challenge this month! We can't wait to see what you create!
