SUMMER DAYS

Hello everyone. I'm back with a clean and simple layout I created using Clique International's Sunshine Clique Sampler Kit. I just love it. It's so sunny and happy...and pretty! The patterns are adorable and the colors are so soft.

The size of this layout is 8"x4". I love this size. For the background, I used a few of the tags from the kit to create a variety of circles in the background. The chipboard embellishments are from my stash.

And of course, I had to include a little bit of journaling at the bottom. Otherwise, the layout will feel incomplete...to me at least. Thank you so much for stopping by. If you haven't had the chance to check this kit out, check it out today. It's a really cute kit!

SUMMER

Hello everyone. Who doesn't like a baby in a cute summer hat? Isn't he the cutest? My sister did a wonderful job capturing Henry's first beach experience and he loved it.

I love this Chevron stencil from Art Anthology!! And the Ocean Sorbet Dimensional Paint looks perfect against the white. This was my first time playing with this Chevron stencil and I was worried it smear with the tiny lines, but it turned out beautifully. Just be sure to tape down each side using washi tape before applying the paint through the stencil.

I used a few papers and embellishments from Echo Park Paper Co. to embellish this layout. I think it turned out cute!

WEEKEND

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a fun summer mixed media layout I created this morning for the Pinkfresh Studio Challenge! I decided to play with lots of happy colors and stencils to create a fun background for the layout. I absolutely love how this turned out!

Here is this month's challenge for Pinkfresh Studio.

For this layout, I used a few different patterned papers from a few different collections. I pretty much went through my Pinkfresh Studio stash and pulled out a few embellishments and papers that would make a fun summer layout. I'm amazed at how well everything works together so nicely. :) I added a few things from my stash here and there.

To create the background, I taped the  TCW743 Crazy Waves Stencil over white cardstock, taping the edges down with washi tape so that the stencil would not move while I was blending the variety of inks over the stencil using a blending brush tool.

I used several bits and pieces of embellishments from my stash to embellish this layout. I love when I can use up those odds and ends embellishments that have been sitting in a box for like ever... I cut the 10, camera and smiley face from patterned paper. :)

I cut the #bestoftheday sentiment from patterned paper and tucked it behind photo at the bottom. The triangles were cut from a few pieces of patterned paper.

To complete the layout, I splashed some Raven Coloration Spray from Art Anthology all over the layout to break up the bright colors then I added the black and white ribbon to the tag.

Thank you so much for visiting today!

I'VE GOT THAT HUNGRY FEELING

Nicole here! I have a clean and simple layout to share with you using some whimsical patterned paper from A.B. Studio. Love their papers. They are absolutely beautiful and I find their patterns to be unique! The patterns are so different from what you typically see on the market.

Last August, Pete and I took Edward and his good friend Sydney to the fair. While we were there, we visited the Petting Farm. The kids loved this part of the night more than the rides! I stood back and watched them, happily feed the deer and other animals. It makes my heart happy to see children enjoy moments such as these instead of focusing their days playing video games etc.

To begin, I matted a few photos using paper and then I ripped some of the patterns to give the layout dimension. I didn't want this layout to be all straight limes like most of my simple layouts. Once I had the papers mounted to the base, I added the photos.

I added a few chipboard embellishments, puffy dots, die cuts and puffy stickers from the My Favorite Story Add-on kit. Then, I splashed some Raven Coloration Spray by Art Anthology in a few areas to break up the green.

To complete the layout, I used a few stamps to stamp the "I've got that hungry feeling" and "another wild food adventure". They were perfect for this layout and it helped tell my story in just a few sentences.

Thank you so much for visiting today! What do you think about these patterns? Aren't they beautiful?! If you like these papers, you might be interested in a few of our kits featuring A.B. SUNSHINE

Happy Monday friends and family! I spent my entire Sunday making pretty things and it felt great. I created this layout using the Dive into Summer Collection that's currently available in the Clique International Shop. I just love this summer collection. It's so cute and the color scheme is perfect!

I drew inspiration from Clique International's Mood Board for July! Isn't it inspiring?! The colors are so bright and happy!

This layout was a lot of fun to make. Before I starting creating this layout I used PicMonkey to create the two photo collages and printed them out on 4x6 photo paper so that the photos would be approximately 2x2. The layout is 8 1/2x11 and the center patterned paper is 7 1/2x10. I decided to use the blue patterned paper for the center since the photos included a lot of blue. :)

There are soooo many embellishments on this layout. They are all cute and perfect for summer. I used a few foam squares here and there to pop some of the stickers up off the page to add dimension.

To complete the layout, I used a journaling card from my stash to add a a little bit of journaling. Then I added a few stickers onto the card to fill in some of the white space.

This layout turned out much better than I had initially planned. The embellishments really made this layout pop. What is your favorite summer collection these days? Another one of my favorite summer collections aside from Echo Park Paper Co.'s Dive into Summer is Fancy Pants Design's Vitamin Sea. Both of these collections are available in Clique International's shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

JESS

Last week, I had to put my little angel down. She has been battling Feline Leukemia since the day Edward rescued her from the Animal Shelter. We knew Jess would only have 1-2 years to live...but we decided to give her the best life we could possibly give her. She got lots of toys, treats, love and kisses. She was such a sweet kitty. We all loved her dearly. We were lucky... instead of 2 years, we got to have have 4 wonderful years with her. As I type this, I have a lump in my throat and tears... I'm still so very sad.

I didn't want to scrapbook this layout yet, but it actually helped me during my grieving process. For this layout, I used Bella Blvd.'s Chloe Collection, a paw print stencil from Newton's Nook Designs, Metal Die from Kesi' Art and Art Anthology's Carnation Sorbet Dimensional Paint. Lots of beautiful product went into this layout. I am very happy with how this turned out. It's a great tribute layout to my fur-angel. All of these products are available at Clique International and the products include links in this post! We also have acrylic paints that can be used with the stencil!

I layered the die cuts using foam squares and then added rhinestones to the center of them to add dimension. Since I had some pick thread, I thought it would be neat to add a bit of thread behind the flower. I just love how a little twill and thread can add a homespun feel to the layout.

I love the die cuts in the Chloe collection. They are absolutely adorable!!! I used a lot of them on this layout... I couldn't help myself. The yellow kitty was created using a metal die. :)

Before I piled anything on this layout, I used some paint and the paw print stencil to create several paws on white cardstock to create a neat background for the layout. I used a tag as a template and traced  the image onto patterned paper so that I would have a few different patterns at the top of the layout.

I took these photos a few months ago when we were just hanging out together... I never thought I'd be losing her this summer... I love this photo because it shows how much love we had between each other.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

JOURNEYS

Good morning! Today I'm sharing another mixed media layout I created for my sister. I love the Industrial stencil and this color combination in general! For this layout, I used Sortbet Dimensional Paints (Vegas Gold, Guava) and the Velvet Dimensional Paint (Fugi).

I think the background looks soooo cool with all the patterns and the variety of colors. This layout didn't need many embellishments with the variety of designs in the background so I kept it simple with the main focus being the photo!

Whenever I'm working with a stencil with lots of intricate details, I tape down all sides using washi tape and then I use a palette knife to apply the mediums on thickly to avoid smearing... The details turn out much better when I do this as appose to applying a thin layer of the mediums.

Doesn't this look so cool. Totally digging this design!!

Here is a closer look at the bottom of the layout.

What do you think? What is your favorite color combination these days? I'm always looking for fun color combinations for my layouts! Thanks so much for visiting today!

SUMMER/VACATION LAYOUTS

Good morning everyone! I'm back with a few summer layouts I created using Fancy Pants Design's/Foundations Decor Vitamin Sea Collection. I love all the beautiful colors and patterns in this collection! If you're a scrapbooker, I'd love to know what your favorite products are from this collection.

The die cuts are super cute! And I love the seagulls. :) The water splash die cuts are from last year's summer collection. I happen to have them in my stash and they were perfect for this layout.

I added a few puffy dots here and there for more colors and to add dimension to the die cuts.

I cut the card from the cut-apart sheet to use as my journaling block.

I layered several die cuts together, using a few foam squares to make the die cuts pop off the page a bit.

Here is my second layout I created. When I started this layout, I was thinking it would be more of a monochromatic layout using lots of blue, but then I saw the gorgeous cut-apart sheet with the palm trees and had to use it.

I actually used lots of die cuts to build this page! It was super simple to make and I have a video of the process. I love when the products are so awesome, they practically scrap themselves!

Thanks so much for visiting today. Hope your'e having a fantastic day!
