Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today, I am sharing another mixed media layout I created using bits and pieces of the Sweet Life collection. I played with some art crayons and paint. Fun stuff!

Once the background was dry, I worked on creating the background for my photos. I used the 2x2 papers to do this. I love working with patterned papers so this was super fun and it made my job easy because I didn't have to do much cropping and there are no scraps to toss! I just tucked them behind the strip of photos. I used the polka dot paper from one of the packaging that the die cuts came in to help mat the photo.

To tone down the colors a bit, I smeared some gesso onto the patterned squares. Then I used a circle template and a pen to draw a few circles around the center to frame the layout.

I used a few cut apart banners and die cuts to embellish the layout. The chipboard chevron and wooden button was from my stash.

Pretty Little Studio Sweet Life Paper Pack 2x2, Cut-Aparts/Good Times, Everyday Words, Die Cuts/Flower Garden, Life is Beautiful, Washi/Lovely Life.

What do you think about the 2x2 paper packs? I love them and I think they work great with mixed media projects! Thank you for visiting today!
