HELLO AUTUMN

Happy Sunday everybody. I've been so lazy this weekend. I had good intentions to clean the house, but decided that wasn't fun so I didn't. LOL, I spent the weekend playing Fortnite with my 8 year old and scrapping. Now, that was fun! Minus being scolded by my 8 year old for sucking at Fortnite, but he begged me to play. Honestly, he asked for it. Not me.

I decided to join Altenew's October challenge this month! A little while ago, I bought lots of their acrylic stamps and dies and their adorable die cutting machine, but never actually used them. But today, that changed. I had so much playing with their products. And I just saw they have new watercolor brushes and I am intrigued. LOL

The challenge was to create a layout using orange, yellow and brown. At first, I didn't think I could pull this off...but I think I managed. What do you think?

Since this die was pretty tiny I discovered a trick to pop the die cut image from the metal die without tearing the paper. Simply place a piece of washi above the die cut so the washi covers the paper and gently lift. It worked perfectly! I used Tombow glue to glue the "hello" die cut onto the photo.

I experimented with the leaf to add different layers. I think it would look a little better if I had added a touch of brown, but it was my first time...

I had some other die cuts from Prima in my stash that worked perfectly for this layout. I was so excited when I saw them. I totally forgot I had them.

The Autumn cards are from Pretty Little Studio. I cut a few pieces from several cards to make them work for this layout.

Lots of pretty layers... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
