YOU ARE KIND

Good morning! Nicole here with another art journal spread I created with some metal dies, acrylic paints, stencils and gems. I created this spread one day when I was in the mood to craft, but I didn't really want to make a layout. I just wanted to play... so I selected a few acrylic paint colors that I haven't used in a while and just played and it felt great!

To begin, I cut the heart shape using a metal die from Pinkfresh Studio and my Sizzix. Then I put it aside. I started by painting the background using a variety of colors (Make It Rain, Kiss & Don't Tell, Bye Felicia, Bad & Tatted, Broken Doll and Hippie in High Heels). Adding a few colors here and there... Once the background was dry, I used the Pebbles stencil from Art Anthology's shop. Once the paint/molding paint was dry, I used a Coloration Spray (Plush) and a paint brush to color in the pebbles to make them pop.

I glued the die cut to the center of the page and then glued the gems, embellishments and stars. I colored in the "forever" sentiment using a black marker and then outlined the heart using a black marker. Then I added random journaling all over the page.

Love the different textures on this art journal spread. I sprayed some Raider Coloration Spray to dull the colors down a little. Then I splashed some acrylic paint onto the spread using a paint brush to make it a bit messier.

Thank you for visiting today!
