Oh boy!

A few months ago, Jamie said that I should make a layout based on some of Edward's favorite things, what he wants to be when he grows up, what he watches etc... So now that he's actually having full conversations with us, I decided to ask him questions to put onto a layout. Every year from here on out, I will ask him similar questions to see how his answers change through the years :)

I love this boy collection by Elle's Studio!! The color combination is fantastic and I love the stars and the green and blues :) This collection was so much fun to work with.

Patterned paper: Elle’s Studio, Tags: Elle’s Studio, Stickers: My Mind’s Eye, Wood veneer heart: American Crafts-Studio Calico, Marker: Faber Castell, Pen: American Crafts, Adhesives: Creative Memories.

Believe it or not, this was such an easy layout to make. I simply placed the photos down on the layout, tucked the tags behind the photo up top and started adhering the tags and at the bottom randomly. Then I cut two strips of paper and made a fun banner and decorated the layout with a few stickers and a heart. After I was done with the placement of embellishments, I grabbed my pen and started my  journaling...

Waiting...

I don't know about some of you scrappers, but I'm anxiously waiting for Bella Blvd.'s 2013-2014 design team call! I have fallen in love with their stuff. I just love the bright papers and fun patterns! Fun, fun, fun! I especially love their new collections.

Here's a layout that I created awhile ago. I love the brown, yellow, green and aqua together. I wanted to stitch the letters, but I need to wait until momom comes over so she can re-bob my sewing machine. I thought I had it figured out the last time she was here, but I don't...

Assateague Beach

I honestly cannot get enough of this Atlantic Collection by Studio Calico. I just love the mixture of colors and patterns in this summery collection :)I have scrapped over 8 layouts using this collection, but some have been shipped of to be published so I can't share them yet. But, in the meantime, here's a layout I created using photos from this past weekend. I love how this turned out. I wanted the main focus of the layout to be on the photos and journaling.

Assateague Beach

I had a great weekend in Assateague! It's been over 10 years since I've been to Assateague. When my husband and I first met, we spent a great deal of time camping in Assateague! I was impressed with how clean the park staff have kept the beach. My mom's friend invited us to stay at his beach house for the weekend and I have to say, I really enjoyed it! I wish I had just a few more days before I had to come back!

Edward was cracking up the entire time I was burying him in the sand :)

Oh and Edward met a new friend. A little sand crabby. After Edward finished almost killing the poor guy, we let him go back into the ocean.

And whenever we go somewhere, Edward meets new friends. He is not shy!!

I love this photo of Edward and I!

I had to do some tickling to get this one :)

And to Marc, if you come across this post, thanks so much for opening your beach house to me, Edward and momom. We really enjoyed our stay!

Oh and one funny thing... I ran into an old boss of mine on the beach... It truly is a small world!

Spring flowers

Hi everyone. About a month ago my neighbor was planting some flowers and didn't have room for these beauties so he asked Pete and I if we wanted them. At first, we were a little hesitant because our garden is pretty full at the moment, but I couldn't say no. And I'm glad  I didn't because they look beautiful in my garden. We started out with just one flower that bloomed into a trio.

Just recently, I realized that I haven't used my sewing machine in awhile so I decided to put it to good use. I received these papers and chipboard from Scrapbooking.com as a prize for National Scrapbooking day and decided to use them for a spring layout. The patterns are so lovely and I especially love the little birdies :) This is from Basic Grey's older collection know as Picadilly.

And I am seriously digging Elle's Studio's tags! I think the last five layouts that I have created has some Elle on them. Fun stuff.
