Has summer rubbed off on you?

So this month Heidi said no more flowers... I think she's sick of flowers. What do you think? ***grins*** Well I honestly can say that I was not affected by this since I have a 16 month old son! I decided to scrap my photos of Edward and Daddy holding an inchworm. Edward was so curious. He thought it was the cutest thing ever until daddy snatched his hand away from his mouth... yes, he still likes to eat everything. He thought maybe it would make a good meal.

This month, try something new like I did on my layout. I had fun finding new ways to use up my rub-ons. Notice how I used a rub-on and then used my butterfly punch to create my own unique embellishment? I also used the 14" round tool by Epiphany Crafts to create my own epoxy sticker using the same technique as the butterfly but with an epoxy sticker.

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Hello ladies! I am so excited to be on this fabulous team and I am ready to share a new layout in which I created using the "Love Games" line.
For my next layout, I tried a few different techniques to spark up my layout. The first thing I did was scrape the top of my Glitzer to distress it a bit and then I hand-cut the heart from a piece of the paper layers and hand wrote N and P.

Next, using a mini butterfly punch, I punched out the word "joy" from a piece of the paper layers to create a fun little embellishment! For those of you who do not own a sewing machine like myself, simply use a marker and ruler to create a fun line of dots to mimic the look of a stitched line.

And this is how it looks altogether!

Supplies used:
Glitz Design “ Love Games” Whatnot
Glitz Design “Love Games” Cardstock Stickers
Glitz Design “Love Games” Glitzers
Glitz Design “Love Games” Peek-A-Boo
Glitz Design "Love Games" Paper Layers
Other: Cardstock, Corner rounder, Black pen, Butterfly punch: Border Punch.

I hope I was able to inspire you today! Please come back!

Yep, he's getting into everything... lol

Okay, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've posted any pictures of the little man! Sorry about that... Here are a few!

Inspiration from a bedroom

This month I had a blast using a photo for my color inspiration on my layout. I love using orange and teal together! These colors makes me so happy and giddy. Here is a layout of my sister and her boyfriend. I offered to take pictures of Jeremy's prom and while snapping a few shots, I asked them to get under the tree and kiss. What a great shot sealed with a kiss!

I love using the ChipArt tools to decorate my chipboard! This is a great way to save space on your layout so that you have more room to journal on your layout.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon!

Gltiz Design Stamp Challenge!

This month, the girls at Glitz Design challenges you to use background stamps on your layouts/projects! I'm not really big on stamping but occassionally, I like to mix it up a bit. I love these frame stamps by Glitz Design and currently, they are on sale at scrapbooking.com! I painted my cardstock with mist and paint by Tattered Angels, stamped my frames on the painted surface then trimmed my frames from cardstock. This technique comes in handy during times when you don't have many colors of cardstock! I love this layout!

I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!

I've got a secret!

Wanna know something? I've been keeping a secret from you for a little over 1 month now. I know, I can hardly stand it! What is it you might ask? Well I'm happy to write that I've been sent a special invitation to join the Glitz Design Team! OMG, Seriously... this is no joke. When I got that pea-mail from Lea, I was at work and I honestly thought it was a spammer! But after reading her nice email, I was truly honored...

I take great pride in my work and receiving such a special invitation makes me feel really good about what I do, especially since I am a simple scrapper! I love that people find my simple layouts attractive because that means I am prooving to others that you don't need to spend a lot nor do you need to use a lot of papers and embellishments on your layouts to make them fun and beautiful.

And if you haven't seen the new products that are coming out this summer by Glitz Design, Look no further because here they are! Aren't they beautiful? I can't wait to play! Come back on July 25th to see two beautiful layouts that I've created using the Laced with Grace line. I think after you see my layouts, you'll be convinced that Glitz Design is the right choice for you!
