Zva Creative July DT Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to our July blog hop!

The Blog Hop begins at Zva Creative's blog! Be sure head on over to check it out! Leave a comment there for a chance to win an extra prize package just for visiting the blog and telling us that you stopped by! You will also find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).

As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was will be sharing a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project. If you like what you see you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

Here are the products that I used up close :) Aren't they beautiful together? Please note that I used a blue and not a pink swirl but wanted you to get an idea of how it looks in the packet. I simply cut the pearl in half and moved it on the page to make it work for me.

If you would like to play along with our design team, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way!

Hidden on FIVE of the designer's blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can along the way.

The Blog Hop starts today, July 30th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, July 31st.

The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, August 1st on Zva Creative's blog. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to Zva's blog on Wednesday.

All you need to do is leave a comment on this Blog Hop post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! To increase your chances of winning:

* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)

* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.

*Hop over to Zva's blog and leave a comment there to tell us that you made it there!

The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative's blog. Your next stop is Karen Shady. Enjoy!

Thank you for joining us!

P.S. Mark your calendar to join us again on August 27th for our next Zva blog hop!

The Great Controversy

So today after work, I immediately checked the mailbox on my way into the house and as I was going through the mail, it felt like a book was between the ads... and I thought it was wierd. So I continued looking to see what it was because I didn't order a new book and if I did, it would have come in a box... Here is the book that was in my mailbox. It's brand new and there were absolutely no smudge marks... and no writing inside either. I figured maybe someone wanted me to read it like a neighbor or someone but nope... no note.

I find this so weird considering the fact that on the way home from work, I said a prayer to God to help me make the right decision right now... which has something to do with work... and then I find this kind of book in my mailbox just minutes after I said a prayer... I've never heard of this book, but I'll be reading it because I'm very curious... Obviously, someone is trying to tell me something and this is the easiest way to get through to me because I love to read...

Words of Wisdom

Hello ladies. Nicole here. Today, I would like to share a mini album I created using the July communication kit by SFTIO Kit Club. This month's theme inspired me to create a mini based on my "words of wisdom". Throughout the years, I've made some mistakes, experienced some heart aches, disappointments and during it all, I learned a great deal from my expereiences. I am going to share some of my words of wisdom in hopes of inspiring readers like you to challenge yourself this month to do the same. I had such a fun time playing with goodies by October Afternoon and Echo Park and I think the two collections look fabulous together!

First, I cut two pieces of cardboard down to 3"X3".

Then, I cut several 3"X3" pieces of patterned paper and 2 1/2"X2 1/2" cardstock pieces.

I punched the top right and bottom left of the white cardstock papers using a corner rounder and adhered them to each page.

After I finished prepping the inside pages for my photos and embellishments, I sprayed each page with glimmer mists (apple, denim).

Once the mists dried, I binded all the pages togther using my Bind-it-All.

And then I printed my journaling on white cardstock, pulled out the embellishments I wanted to use to decorate the cover and inserts.

And here is how my beautiful album turned out. Simply beautiful wouldn't you say? I let the focus of my mini remain on the journaling strips and photos.

Let's go to the park

Hello! Today I would like to share a few fun projects with you. Since this month's theme is based on summer, I decided to scrap a layout of my son having fun on the sliding board at the park. I love this pictures and felt that the Afternoon Muse would be perfect! I think the yellows and pinks really set off the pictures in a nice way without making the layout look too feminine.

Notice how I cut the Glitzers to create my own Washi tape. I achieved this same look without spending a few additional dollars just by making my supplies work for me!

Glitz Design: Afternoon Muse Paperin Polka
Glitz Design: Afternoon Muse Glitzers
Glitz Design: Afternoon Muse Cardstock Stickers
Glitz Design: Afternoon Muse Peek-A-Boos
Glitz Design: Afternoon Muse Whatnots

Cardstock: Creative Memories
Epiphany Crafts: Star epoxy stickers
Corner rounder: Creative Memories

Next, I would like to share a mini album I created using lots of leftover chipboard pieces! I hate wasting scrap supplies, therefore, I'm always thinking of creative ways for using those embellishments left in the junk pile.

Glitz Design: Happy Travels Papers
Glitz Design: Happy Travels Rhinestones
Glitz Design: Sticker Alphas in brown.
Glitz Design: Happy Travels Transparency

Bind-It-All: Zutter
Owires: Zutter
Heart punches: Creative Memories

I hope you've enjoyed your visit. Have a fabulous day and please come again.
