Loving my garden!

For the past 9 years that we have been living in our house, my grandmother and husband has been working on creating a beautiful garden for me... by adding little bits of flowers over time. And I think it's finally done!! I love it so much. Here are some of the flowers I have blooming in my yard right now :)

Short boat trip.

After almost 4 years, I finally went out on our boat! The last time I went out on our boat was the Fourth of July 2009 with my friend Mischelle, Pete and George. I had just found out that I was preggers :) Although, It was my idea to go out today, it was a bad day to do so. It was 98 degrees out and we were sweating! So we made a small trip and headed back home. It was still fun to get out for a little bit. I do miss going out on the boat! Here are some of my favorite pictures from today.

I love looking at the big houses on the water. They are amazing...

How would you like to live on a little island? We watched someone get in their boat to drive over to the marina to get their cars... Here's the front of the island.

And this is coming around the island.

Here's our boat with the burgundy slip cover.

So funny

In April my mom had an Easter egg hunt for Edward since she was on a cruise for Easter. Better late than never right? Anyways, Edward had such a great time looking for the Easter bunny eggs with Allie. When the big kids started looking for their eggs, Edward decided to help out... little smarty pants found one under a rock!! He was so proud until he found a blank piece of paper in the egg. He was like, "what the heck?" I couldn't stop laughing. I'm so glad I had my camera for that shot... He is so funny.

A place only we know...

Isn't it amazing how fast time flies? And it flies even faster when you have a child. This month, I thought it would be fun to create a layout with multiple photos of me. Some pictures were from when I was in high school. So fun! My journaling talks about how I grew up too fast as a kid. I don't ever remember having a difficult time transitioning from a kid to an adolescent to an adult... It seemed to happen so effortlessly. I think it's because I was forced to take care of my siblings at a younger age so it forced me to take on a "motherly" role at around 8 years old.

Pool side fun

Hello everyone. It's been nice having the week off from work. I needed a break... and I must admit, I've done absolutely nothing; just relaxing, hanging out with Edward, and scrapping. Yay. Last night, I actually sat down and watched a movie (Thor) in the peace and quiet. Just, me, myself and I until about 11pm when Edward came downstairs to see where I was. He watched the last half hour of the movie and then went right to sleep.

Here's a layout that I scrapped today! I was a little bored so I started printing some pictures to scrap. Edward and I went to the pool with Aunt Jamie and Aunt Katie last week. We were only in the pool for like 10 minutes because it was sooooo cold. And the only reason we went in the first place was because Edward asked me all week...  But he was happy, and that's what matters.

If you are just arriving at my blog, make sure you go to the beginning at Melissa's blog  as you won't want to miss out on all the gorgeous inspiration. This hop is special as we say goodbye to some very wonderful ladies, who have been part of the SFTIO family for over a year and will continue to be forever family. We are also saying HELLO to our new TEEN COLLECTIVE. What is a "Teen Collective"?

We are combining the Teen Designers from CreateU with our Design Team at SFTIO. This is a wonderful opportunity to have each of these girls give their perspective of the monthly emotion. Each Teen Designer will be joining us for one month as a Guest Designer but, will be a constant and active "voice" on our website and forum.

Ready to begin?

Maybe you went from having blond to red hair. Whatever it is, I want to hear it :) Each comment will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize! The winner will be announced by Monday on Facebook and the SFTIO blog.

Thanks for swinging by! Make sure to visit Scrapbooking from the Inside Out. We have a FREE Inspiration Page giving you loads of ideas using our current emotion, a welcoming forum and you can grab your own kit here!

Project life

I don't know about anyone else, but it takes me forever to complete a project life layout. LOL. And I'm usually a simple scrapper who can complete a layout in about 30 minutes... But it literally took me an hour to complete this layout from start to finish. And why is it that I like what everyone else does, but I don't like my own project life layouts. They feel very off to me. I guess practice makes perfect. Maybe that's it. Either way, it's something different and I plan on conquering this style. LOL.
