4 fun

Hello friends! I just got home last night from my weekend crop at the Cozy Crop House. This was my third year going and it was so much fun scrapping with Mischelle and Kelly. I have been friends with Mischelle for over 14 years and I've never been able to get her to scrap until this past weekend. She did an entire project life album. I was so proud and impressed! Here's one of the 13 layouts that I completed over the weekend. I wanted to keep this one simple so that it focuses on the photos :)

Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Patterned paper: Vellum dies, Star, Frame, Wood vaneer: Crate Paper.
How to: Mat 8"x10 1/2" white cardstock to base. Cut two pictures down to 3"x3" and place them diagonally across the middle of the page. Adhere cards on top left and bottom right of the photos and add your embellishments.

March Zva Creative Blog Hop!

Hello friends! Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to our March blog hop! We are very excited to have you join us today and hope you are inspired all of the beautiful work that we are about to share!

The hop begins at Zva Creative’s Facebook page! Be sure head on over to check it out! You will also find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).
As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. If you like what you see along the hop you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

If you would like to play along with our design team, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the way!

The Blog Hop starts today, March 31st and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, April 1st.

Hidden on FIVE of the blogs along the way is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over. All you need to do is leave a comment on one post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.
The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 2nd on Zva Creative’s Facebook page. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to Zva’s page on Wednesday to see if you are a winner!

We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! To increase your chances of winning:
* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.
*Hop over to Zva’s Facebook page and “like” our page or leave a comment there to tell us that you stopped by if you already like us there!

The blog hop begins here at Zva Creative’s Facebook page. Your next stop is Tina McDonald.  Enjoy!

Thank you for joining us!
P.S. Mark your calendar to join us again on April 28th for next month’s hop.

Edward's new makeover

I have been meaning to post some photos of Edward's new makeover. It was time... he needed a makeover; something fun. Not just plain yellow walls with a dresser and bed. So boring and his room did not look like  a little boy's room. So, a few weeks ago, my family all pitched in to help make his room look amazing!! He loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and that was our theme!

Grandma painted this awesome chalkboard on his wall so now he can stop drawing little people all over his walls...

And Aunt Katie painted this 5x4 mural for his wall. AMAZING!!!

Oh, and about those little people... here are some pictures. LOL. They were all around his room... and he would tell me he drew another friend... creepy. I know...

oh snap!

Hi everyone! It was a good day. We finally got some warmer weather. YAY! 56 degrees feels great compared to the freezing weather we've had this winter. So ready for spring. Can't wait for some nicer weather so I can get outside and take some pictures! Here's a fun layout that I created a few weeks ago. I'm normally not a purple/pink girl, but I love these colors together and I love the grungy look.

Products: Patterned paper: Jewels: Metal clip: Gold sticker letters: Die cut butterflies: Gold epoxy heart stickers: Vellum tag: Sticker words: American Crafts, Die cutting machine: Silhouette Portrait, Dies: "laugh" phrase and camera, Adhesives: American Crafts.

March 5, 2014

Happy hump day everyone! I just realized that it's been awhile since I posted anything on my blog. I've been so busy lately. With Edward being sick, me and daddy on and off for a few weeks... it's thrown me off. And last weekend, my family came over to paint Edward's room... well it's been nuts. And the weekend before that, we had Edward's birthday party. I think it's safe to say that life should be returning back to normal. LOL. Wishful thinking. I know.

Anyways, I created this adorable layout a few weeks ago. I love these cute die cut frames by Elle's Studio. Aren't they awesome? I've been wanting to create a layout about Edward's companion Ty, but never got around to it... Four years later, I did it. He has had Ty with him everyday, all day for the past 4 years! Ty has lost his tail once which required momom to sew him back together... and it's not as soft as he once was, but he's still Edward's favorite stuffed animal. He will not go away for a weekend without him and he takes him to school for naptime.

Supplies used: Cardstock: Doodlebug Design Inc., Patterned paper: Elle's Studio, Journaling spots: Elle's Studio, Tags: Elle's Studio, Bling: Doodlebug Design Inc., Die cuts: Elle's Studio, Stickers: Freckled Fawn (star), Pen: American Crafts, Adhesives: Helmar.
Journaling: I never thought that you'd become so attached to Ty when I gave him to you when you were about fie months old. He became your "Ty", your best friend, your comforter. You cannot sleep without Ty and no matter how ratty Ty looks, I cannot ask you to give him up. He has been washed a million times and momom has replaced his tail once. LOL.
