Sunday afternoon I was playing on the computer when I hear, "mommy, I need your help. There's a lizard in the house!" When I looked over, he's holding a broom and dust pan. LOL. Apparently, the lizard got in through the sliding glass door and when he went to grab it by it's tail, it bit him. Do lizards even have teeth? I don't know, but I didn't want to find out. When I asked where it was, Edward said underneath the couch. Good... there's a starting point.

So we go downstairs and I got Pete to lift the couch up so I could get the little guy. At one point, the lizard went under the foot of the couch and if Pete would have dropped the couch, the thing would have died... but I got him in a bowl so we could let him go outside... But before we let him go, I let Edward hold him for a little bit.

Baltimore Zoo

Today we went on a field trip to the Baltimore Zoo with Edward's school. Momom came along too which was awesome! We had such a great time and really lucked out since they were calling for scattered storms and rain. It rain a little bit while we were eating outside which worked out because it cooled us down a little. Apparently, these three are best buds at school :) They are too cute for words!

And this is why I can't say no to him either... those beautiful eyes!

They all held momom's hand on their way to see the animals.

This guy came right up to us. Such a friendly thing. I just wanted to reach out and pet him.

The chimps were very cool. One actually ran and jumped on the glass and scared the crap out of me. I didn't see him, but I heard it and thought, "where's Edward?"

This is my favorite photo from today. I think.

This girl was over in the corner dancing. So cute.

He is so funny... what can I say, he's like his daddy.

Again, they rock :)

They had a blast on the big tree slide!

And Kelly's gonna have problems with this one in the near future... he likes girls :)

I think my heart just stopped.

Best buds forever.

I love how Edward is smiling at Jayda. She's a cutie.

This Is what childhood looks like. Completely.

They had cubs... well, not really babies, they are growing, but they were so cute. I wanted to take one home.

And that my friends is how we rolled today.

Boys will be boys

I couldn't help myself... I love this photo so much I had to scrap it tonight, while I was inspired! The "Boys Rule" collection by American Crafts-Crate Paper was a perfect match... wouldn't you agree?

Supplies: Patterned paper: Chipboard: Vellum Die cuts: Bling: Tags: Acrylic star: American Crafts-Crate Paper, Metal Clip: American Crafts-Studio Calico, Pen: Signo-Uniball, Adhesives: S.E.I.

These two...

These two complain that they don't see each other enough, but when they're together, they bicker... constantly... Parker arrived at 8:00 am for a fun get together with his bff... Since it looked like it was going to rain, I decided to take them to the park at 10:30 for an hour and a half. Best idea ever... They played nice for the most part.

I don't recall ever seeing this sign, but it's a good sign to have. Especially since I have two little ones running around...

All in all, it was a good morning/early afternoon. I only heard Edward say once, "Hummm, you're not my best friend anymore." :) Boys... and the drama... You would have thought they were little girls!

Happy 10th Anniversary to me!

Today is my 10th Anniversary. It's hard to believe that I've been married to this man a decade now... And this October, It will be 15 years that we've been together. Wholey crap... I honestly don't know how we made it this far... I guess I have more patience than I though. Lol. It was fun going through all of my old photos of the two of us. We DID have a lot of good memories and lots of fun... Sometimes it's hard to remember the good times during the hard times, but here it is. I made it to the 10 year mark when most marriages don't even make it to the five year mark. I think we need to celebrate this anniversary!

We met on October 21, 1999. I was at a Shindig hosted by a fraternity in Frostburg. Shindig is a big field party with lots of drinking and partying. All day long, this guy kept flirting with me and he would not stop. I kept blowing him off, telling him I wasn’t interested. The first thing he actually said to me was “How you doing?’ with a southern drawl (he’s from Louisiana). I did not know at the time that I was lying on his blanket. I saw a blanket and just decided to plop down and relax a bit. So I’m lying there and he says, “ummm, that looks mighty tempting.” He just wasn’t going to leave me alone; it was obvious he wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

Later on that night, my friends set me up. They told me that there was no room in the car to take me back to the bar where everyone was meeting up and that I had to ride with Pete. I had too many drinks to think logically-like how is it that we all got to Shindig together fine and now all of a sudden there is no room? So Pete and I went to the bar together and after a few more Tom Collins, I kissed him and went home alone. The next day, I had bumped into him and he asked me out on a date. I agreed to go on one date just to be nice. We went up to Deep Creek Lake, MD and walked around and talked. Little did I know I’d marry him… almost 15 years later, we are still together, going strong through the good and bad times. We have a beautiful son named Edward who we adore. We’ve made something really special. Most of our friends say that we have a different kind of relationship than what they are used to seeing… I don’t know exactly what that means but whatever it is, it works for us.

Here are most of the photos that include the two of us!

And here are some old layouts of us. Back in the days when I scrapped 12x12 layouts! It's so fun to see how far I've come with my scrapbooking.
