Happy Monday all! Sorry I am just getting this post up. It's been a busy day and I've been away all weekend at the Cozy Crop House so I am just now catching up on my blogging! Have you seen Clique Kit's "Hell Yeah" kit yet? It's fabulous. I just love Studio Calico's "Goldie" collection. It's fool of funky patterns that are attractive and fun to work with! Here's a layout that I created this weekend of my 6 year old baby. :) This was six years ago when he could barely hold himself up, but that face hasn't changed much over the years. I adore those pouty lips and he knows how to work them to his advantage whether it be a pouty face or a big smile. I love it!

February Clique Kits Blog Hop

Hi everybody. It’s Nicole here, wishing you a fabulous Wednesday! Welcome to the February Pep Rally. This month, we hope to inspire you with the "Hot Mess" kit. I am loving the vibrant colors and die cuts In this kit. And I think it works well as a boy or girly kit. Sure there's a great deal of pink in this kit, but there's a good amount of greens and blues in the kit as well. :)

For our challenge this month, we went with an “Anything Goes" theme.

The Pep Rally, for those of you who are new to the Clique, is our monthly subscriber and design team blog share typically held the third week of the month and participants earn product credits-yes, free stuff to do what you love-who can beat that? It's out with the old, in with the new time at Clique Kits when we (hopefully) have all killed our kit from the previous month and have lots to show off, and we start to chat and hype the excitement for the coming month’s kit. In other words, we party! We don’t leave out our guests-there is always a prize for a hopper who comments on each post and likes and shares on social media! Just leave a new comment for each like and share for a separate entry in the random drawing for this month’s prize. One lucky person will win this month’s Capture kit that is sold out! Get the word out and have your friends join our Pep Rally because they might end up with this gorgeous kit at their doorsteps!

Feel free to hop in any order, if you get lost, you can always come back here to find your place. I decided to scrap this photo of the Clique Kits girls at CHA! It's my absolute favorite photo from the weekend. We were getting our caffeine fix before we headed into the show! We were busy, busy, busy, and we hit the ground running all weekend long. We had such a great time and it was my first time meeting the girls in person! So fun. What a fun group of girls.

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Die Cuts: Stickers: Crate Paper, Stamps: American Crafts.
Here are a few close-ups. I decorated my background with a few flowers. What do you think?

Embossed Stars

Hello everybody! I have a fun layout to share with you using the "Wonky Stars" and "Enjoy the Moment" cut files from Just Nick's Studio. I love this cut file. Initially, my plan was to cut the "Wonky Stars" from white cardstock, but after my Portrait cut the stars, I noticed that I forgot to put it on the "Heavy Cardstock" option so the stars did not cut all the way through, but I got excited because they look like embossed stars! I was so happy that I was able to still make the cut work for me without having to cut another paper and wait. I am sure if I tried to do this the first time, it wouldn't have worked. haha. That is just my luck. I love when good accidents happen.

For this layout, I used the February Clique Kit! If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's chocked full of beautiful papers and embellishments.

Happy 6th Birthday Edward

Today is an exciting day! My darling son is now 6 years old and we had such a great time celebrating with 10 of his friends at Chuck E. Cheese's. He was so worried last night that we would get up in time for his party since it was at 11:00am. He asked if I could give him an alarm. HAHA, I promised him that I would not forget to wake up! And just to be safe, I scheduled my alarm for 9:00am. I didn't really matter because I was up long before then because Pete was snoring so loud this morning. So annoying.

Anyway, everyone who RSVP'ed to Edward's party came even if they were a little late. I felt terrible because I didn't invite Edward's friend Riley. I did not realize that Riley went to his school. :( So next year, I will make sure Riley is invited! I tried to keep the invitations under 25 because if everyone wanted to come, that party was going to get expensive and I couldn't just invite a few of Edward's classmates. I believe that if you invite one from the class, you invite all of them. No child is left behind! Here are a few photos from this morning. Edward loved his Storm Trooper cake that my friend Kelly made. She was upset because she tried to make an R2 cake, but it fell apart so this was what she came up with. I thought it looked great and Edward loved it so that's all that matters.

Seriously, Edward's face... he cracks me up. LOL

He LOVED his cake. Can't you tell? Priceless

Little man's friends knew just what to get him for his birthday... Lots of Legos! Thank goodness he can do him by himself now. LOL

His cake. Cool right?!

All week, Edward kept talking about the ticket booth. He couldn't wait to get the tickets. Aunt Jamie and Matt brought a big shirt so he could get the tickets! He got all of the big tickets. Over 2,000 tickets in which he spent wisely.

Seriously, these kids were looking everywhere but at me. Oh well.

These two... :) Matt's family called Edward to sing happy birthday to him. So sweet. Jamie picked a good man... he is so good to my son. I can't wait until Mat and Jamie gets married and starts popping out babies. :)

LOVE. It was a GREAT day. Next year, we will be partying at a Laser Tag place since Edward will be old enough.

Hi all. Just sharing a project life layout that I created using products from Bella Blvd and Ali Edwards. It's been too long since I've created a project life layout. Today, I received Ali's story kit and realized that they are just piling up on my desk. I really need to use them! So here's a layout that I threw together in no time. I love that heart paper from Bella Blvd's "Whatever is Lovely" collection. It's a favorite of mine.

And here are a few close-ups.

Scrapping your child's artwork

Good morning everyone. I have been really excited to share this adorable layout with you. Since I am playing in the Art Studio today for Clique Kits, I thought it would be fitting to scrapbook a layout using a scanned copy of a drawing that my five year old did at school. He was asked to draw a picture of his family, but he decided to draw a super hero version of himself and his pet pig, Hamlet. It's so cute. I LOVE that all of Edward's drawings are "happy". He's always smiling in his art which means that he's overall, a happy boy.

This layout was super easy to create. I simply sprayed some yellow mist onto white cardstock and started layering some pieces of patterned paper and stickers together. I used Ali Edward's stamps at the bottom to complete the look. Without the stamp, I felt that the layout was just hanging. And I didn't feel like this layout needed much journaling since the picture speaks for itself.

Supplies: Cardstock: My Mind's Eye, Patterned Paper: Stickers: Crate Paper, Button: Buttons Galore, Stamps: Ali Edwards, Mist: Heidi Swapp.

And here are a few close-ups. I just love all the details on this layout. Everything looks so good together.

Hello Everyone! I decided to pull out some of my favorite products from the "Let's Go" collection to scrap this photo. I like this photo of the Clique Girls hanging out, late night, in the hotel room, chatting away. We were up past midnight every night. I am not sure how I managed since I am normally in bed at 9am and they are 3 hours behind in California, but it was fun and I am so glad I had the awesome opportunity to go!
