Watercolor cirlces

Hi all. I've been playing with Pretty Little Studio's Summer Vibes collection again. Initially, I did not plan on creating a summer layout, but I love the "summer" acrylic so I couldn't help myself. Before I embellished this layout, I used Shimmerz Paints and a mason jar lid to create a fun background for my layout.

After I finished tracing the circles using my watercolor paints, I gently tapped on the brush to add a little splash of blue and pink. Then I added a few clear star stickers. LOVE!

Here are a few closer shots of my layout:

Love

Hi everyone. It's me again, sharing another layout using the BEAUTIFUL "Wonderland" kit. I cannot get enough of this kit. It's so pretty that this layout practically scrapped itself. I hand-cut the butterfly from patterned paper then used foam squares to make the wings pop of the page a little bit.

Initially, I did not plan on adding the photo corners and tabs at the top of the photo, but without them, the layout did not look complete. And I love the exclusive word stickers in this month's kit. They are my favorite along with the exclusive "LOVE" journaling card. Notice how I hand-cut the sentiment from patterned paper then adhered it to the journaling card. I like finding neat things to do with patterned paper.

Day dreams and grand schemes

Hello all. Do you every have a difficult time picking out just one photo for your project? Just recently, I had my sister Katie take a few photos of me and I couldn't decide on one photo to use so I used my favorite three. haha I created a collage of three photos using PicMonkey and then I printed them out to use on my layout. I love the vibrant colors in this month's  Clique kit and the exclusive stickers and die cuts. Rather than journal on this layout, I used the word stickers to help tell my story. LOVE these stickers.

 Here are a few close-ups:

I hand-cut some of the squares along with the butterfly and hearts to use as die cuts for my layout. I totally forgot to buy the die-cuts from the add-ons this month!

Trolls

Happy Thanksgiving friends and family! This month, I made it a goal of mine to scrapbook a layout using the printables that came with the December kit. I ALWAYS forget to use these because I forget to print them out and then when I do think about them, my kit is almost gone. So, this month, I printed them off first before I even received the kit.

Initially, I was going to prep this page for the December kit, but once I started applying the printables and photos, I needed things like washi tape, enamel dots, puffy stickers... all items that I've been hoarding from the Clique Kit shop. :) I like being a hoarder of supplies because you never know what you might need until you actually need it. So don't forget the Clique Kit shop because we have a great variety of products available to be shipped with you kit each month.

Products: Cut-apart journaling cards: Die-Cuts: Clique Kits, Cut-apart star strip: Puffy Star stickers: Elle's Studio, Enamel Dots: Pebbles, Enamel Hearts:Paper Clip: Bella Blvd., Number sticker: Simple Stories, Ribbon: May Arts, Chipboard words: Pink Paislee, Washi Tape: Me & My Big Ideas, Puffy "lightening bolt" sticker: Crate Paper, Spray Ink: Shimmerz Paints, Heidi Swapp, Ranger Inc.

A few close-ups:

I cut the Movie Night hexagon in half and then moved them around the bottom of the photo collage until I was happy with the placement. I always save my tickets from when I go to the movies. Rather than keeping the tickets in my wallet, I decided to use it on my layout.

I really don't know what got into me... I just couldn't stop adding stuff to this layout. I am just glad that some of this stuff is finally getting used.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope to see lots of projects using the printables from the December kit. Lacey did a fabulous job on these.

Cherish

Hi all. Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am going to mom's. Let her do the cooking since she loves it so much... I'll do my part, stop at the Amish Market next door to work to pick up Pecan pie and dinner rolls. :)

I just realized that I haven't posted anything this week on the blog so I am sharing these cuties up on my blog today. I captured these two perfectly in these photos. Can't you see the love? Edward loves his grandma.

For this layout, I used a sketch by Kim Watson. LOVE her work. She is amazing and her work is so inspiring. I love the design of this layout with the journaling. What do you think? I used mostly the November Clique Kit for this layout.

Patterned Paper: Crate Paper, Die-Cuts: Crate Paper, Simple Stories, Flair: Clique Kits, Thicker: American Crafts, Chipboard heart: Pinkfresh Studio, Mist: Heidi Swapp.

Believe in Magic-Moment to remember

Hi friends. Today, I am sharing another layout I created using Clique Kit's Swan Lake kit. I love the patterns and color palette of this kit. It's a pretty kit, but not too pretty to scrap little boys... For this layout, I wanted to have a little fun with it so I played with some Shimmerz Paints and fussy cutting. The squares were hand-cut from the patterned paper. Then I used foam squares to make a few pop up off the page. I used some of the exclusive journal cards and cut-aparts as well. Can you spot them? Once the paint was dry and the Nuvo drops, the layout came together in a snap. Lots of layers of tags and journaling cards here.

The photo was from when Edward and I walked in Washington D.C. with thousands of other people to help raise money to BEAT cancer. This was my 7th year participating and Edward's 2nd year! I loved having him with me. And the best thing about it was, he enjoyed it too.

Just own it

Hello scrappy friends. Today, I am sharing another layout using the Kraft tags from the Clique kit and die cuts. I took this adorable photo of Edward behind the school one day. He was in the mood to have his picture taken so I took advantage of it. And I really wanted to get a picture in his adorable plaid shirt that I bought for picture day!

I used a pen and ruler to create a faux stitched look on the kraft tag. And did the same thing with the heart journaling tag. And because I felt that the "just own it" flair was perfect for this photo, A added it to the corner of the layout with some die cuts and stickers.

Together

Hello everyone. Today, I want to share with you how you can create a layout in a snap using journaling cards! Whenever I am trying to create a layout quickly, I will look through my journaling cards. Once I have a few selected, I move them around the layout until I am satisfied with the placement.

I love Pretty Little Studio's Oakley Ave collections. The journaling cards and stickers are my favorite! Once I adhered my cards, I added a few stickers and sprinkled some Shimmerz Paints on it to pull out the fun patterns from the cards!

Jess and Toby

It's hard to believe that we've only had these darling babies for 3 1/2 months now. They are around 8 months old and they've come a long way since we first brought them home. When Pete and Edward brought them home, they were VERY sick. We took them to the vet, had them checked out, got them antibiotics etc... and then they started getting better. At least, I thought they were.

These two LOVE playing together and they can often be found snuggling together.

Most of the time, they hide as soon as I walk in with the camera. Notice how Toby looks like he is about to jet.

At night, they run up and down the hall, chasing and tackling each other all through the night. We've learned how to sleep through it. haha... Until Jessica decides to jump up on the bed and run across Pete's head.

This is what I get to watch whenever I'm on the computer. They like to play on opposite sides of the gate. ADORABLE.

Toby was VERY feral when we brought him home. We couldn't touch him or anything. I literally almost had a panic attack when I had to get him in the crate... Because his claws are like blades and he swiped at me a few times and drew blood. Now, he loves being snuggled and loved. It just took a few months for him to trust us. He is completely relaxed now-a-days and he has learned not to claw me... It's nice. LOL

Hamlet is scared shitless of these little darlings... And he is much BIGGER than them. It's so comical. Really. If only you could hear him crying down the hall because Toby will not let him by. HAHAHAHA. Funny. I need to get a video of it sometime. These kitties run this house.

At first, I thought it was cute that Toby loved snagging my toilet paper rolls and playing with them, however, that's getting old. I never have any TP when I need it!!

He doesn't share... And he's a major food hog.

A little over a week ago, I came home and found some worms on the floor. I know, gross. I've given them worm pills, but they didn't work. However, I was really concerned because it looks like Jessica threw them up. I figured it was Jessica because she's been coughing and I didn't think much of it.

I scheduled a vet appointment for the next evening. When I got there, they mentioned that her eye looked bad which I know. However, I do not have thousands of dollars to put her through surgery to fix the layers of her eyes. I mentioned to the vet that I felt like there were worse things going on then her eye... And she kept talking and then stopped. Yes, I felt like saying, "No, I am not a veterinarian, however, I do have a sixth sense for when something is NOT right. And I was right. After running blood test on Jessica, I found out that she has Feline Leukemia. She is lucky to live three years. I am saddened by this, but these kitties would not have survived if it wasn't for us. I will try to keep her happy and give her lots of love until we need to put her down. I refuse to put her down when she's showing no visible signs of being sick. She runs and plays...

I will keep my eye on her and if she shows signs of weakness and stops eating, I will know it's the right time. She is such a sweet girl. Also, Feline Leukemia is contagious so I had to take poor Toby in the following morning and have test run on him to see if he tested positive for the disease. Thankfully, he is healthy. The only bad thing was, I had to have them administer treatment on him. He needed a shot that will prevent him from getting the Leukemia. He will need to go every year to have this done for as long as we have Jess. I don't think he would say no. When she goes, he's going to be depressed because they are like Yin and Yang. :( They are true pals. Hell, they were in the sick ward at the animal shelter together, all alone in a room far away from the other kitties. God brought these kitties to us for a reason. And we couldn't love them more.

I will keep you updated on our little fur-babies.
