Hi everyone. I thought it was time to stop hoarding this gorgeous patterned paper from the April Jellybean Clique Kit and use it. I love this paper so much with the greens and blues. SO pretty! We still have a few left in the shop in case you're interested in purchasing the kit. Plus, save an additional 30% using the coupon code SALE all through the month of July to save 30% on your ENTIRE order.

Before I started embellishing this layout, I sprayed some Cobalt Blue mist (Prima's Color Bloom) on to the paper, then I used a marker and star stencils I had in my stash to dreaw little stars randomly on the patterned paper.

I cut a few triangles from my scraps to create a photo corner and added a button from the stash on top of the photo corner. I added another button at the top right-side of my photo.

The die cut flower was originally pink and since it didn't go with the blues and green, I used a marker to color on top of it! Then I layered it with a die cut arrow, puffy heart sticker, enamel dot and a pearl.

Thanks so much for visiting. Click here to check out the kit!

It's been awhile since I actually used Ali Edward's story kit. I love these kits, but when they come in the mail, I put them in a basket and then before I know it, I forget about them! I still haven't created a layout using the Brave Kit yet. I am thinking about how I want to scrap this subject. There are so many different things going on in my head on this very subject, that I am not ready to put them down on paper yet. Know what I mean?

In the meantime, I decided to use my Fun Kit to create a fun, colorful layout using pieces of Amy Tangerine's Oh Happy Life collection and the Fun story kit. LOVE how colorful and bright this layout is.

I must admit. I had to Google "Totes" because I had no idea what this meant and I did not want to use it on my layout until I knew what it meant. LOL If you haven't had a chance to Google it yet, it is a short word for TOTALLY. I had no idea!
I love Ali's half circle chipboard, but sometimes I am not quite sure how to use them. However, while I was going through my box of embellishments from the other kits, I found the circle tag and thought it would be perfect for adding the chipboard on top of the tag. I love how it looks.

I used the "Making It Happen" chipboard piece from another story kit since it went with the theme of my layout and it looks OK with the other colors.

And because I didn't have enough embellishments on this layout (joking)... I added the acrylic word onto the photo.

I hand-wrote my journaling on one of the journaling cards that came in the kit.

And that's it. What do you think? I love the little embellishments Ali includes in her story kits. I might not use them at the time I receive my kit, but I add them in little boxes and pull them out often when I am looking for a small embellishment for my projects.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a wonderful day!

We All Scream For Ice Cream

A few months ago, I picked Edward up from Y-Care around 5pm. Once he got into the truck and buckled his seat belt, I looked over at him and asked him if he'd like an ice cream sundae for dinner. He looked at me with a silly grin on his face, waiting for me to say, "Tricked ya!" But, no, I was very serious.

Every now and then, I like to do something fun like that for Edward because I want him to look back on his childhood memories and say, "my mom was awesome." He's such a great kid and I like to reinforce that with fun things/treats. So he knows how much I appreciate him.

I used the Slice of Summer collection by Creative Memories for this layout. I love the fun colors and patterns in this collection. And the stickers are fun! So perfect for this layout.

I cut the "Memories" sentiment from one of the photo mats and used my corner rounder to create a fun tab to use above the cluster of photo mats.

I used part of a grid photo mat to hand-write my journaling. I cut another rainbow striped mat in half to adhere next to the journaling block. Once everything was adhered, I added the stickers using a few foam squares. My favorite adhesive! As an afterthought, I added a few enamel dots and heart.

Gotta love the Nerf gun and shades. LOL

Make It Count Everyday

Hello everyone. I am sharing another layout this month using the "Ain't Life Grand" collection. I have been making an effort to scrapbook more "everyday life" layouts which hasn't been hard to do since this collection is perfect for scrapbooking those special moments of your lives. I love that my 7 year old can read books such as Captain Underpants with little assistance. I am so proud. Last year, I had to fight him to read. It was so hard and I felt like I was losing, but evidently, I won! HA. Small victory in my house, but I will take it. LOL

I used the Love This and Happy Days paper as my base for the layout. Aren't the papers pretty. I love the tiny circles and the XO print. Nice job on this collection Ashley!

I cut the "Make It Count" label from the Happy cut-apart to use as my title paired with the large "everyday" die cut.

For the top left side of the photo, I used the Best Ever cut apart banner to help anchor the photo. I felt like the photo was missing something without it. Do you ever have that happen to you?

Since I ran out of space to hand journal my journaling, I decided to type it in a word document and print it on lime green to help pull the lime out of the patterns. Love how the journaling strips make the lime pop off the page. I used lots of die cut shapes, flowers and tags to decorate the bottom half of the layout with a few stickers and vellum tape.

Pretty Little Studio Ain't Life Grand Paper: Happy Days, Love This, Journaling: Cloud 9, Love You, Die Cuts: Love Life Words, In Stitches, Bloomin', Tags: Easy Breezy, Vellum Tape: Hi There, Stickers: Snapshots, Cut-Aparts: Happy Life, Best Ever.

Hello everyone. I am sharing a fun mixed media layout with you today using lots of pretty products by Elle's Studio from the July Clique kit and some stamps by Altenew! Also, I finally tried out my Shimmerz Paints Creameez. Love how soft these watercolor paints look in the background.

I used some stamp ink pads and water color paints to color white cardstock teal and purple then stamped the flowers on top and cut them out to use as an embellishment for my layout.

I added a few embellishments along the right side of the photo strip.

I stamped "Hello Sunshine" at the bottom using a minty color ink and added a few acrylic hearts!

I cut the striped patterned paper into a banner to use for my layout. I added a puffy sticker and journaling right onto the strip to save room on my layout for all of the embellishments.

Hello friends. I've been playing with the Ain't Life Grand collection for a few nights now. I love how happy the colors are in this collection! So bright, so pretty. And perfect for scrapbooking those precious memories. A few months ago, my mom took Edward to the zoo with a few people. Edward had a great time. I was told that the line was very long to feed the giraffe's but well worth it for the kiddos. I love these photos that mom's friend took of Edward. He was cracking up and his facial expression was priceless. He got a kick out of the giraffe licking his pinky finger. LOL

Can you tell, I love patterned paper and embellishments? If not, let me just say, I love playing with patterned paper, stickers and die cuts. They are my favorite. And let's not forget about the fun stickers in this collection. My favorite includes the shutterbug and camera stickers.

I used the word stickers and "memories made here" from the cut-apart paper to help tell my story. I added them right on the photo to help draw the viewer's main focus towards the adorable photos. If you look closely, you can see the giraffe's long tongue. Ew.

I cut a giraffe die cut using the Wild Things digital cut file from Just Nick Studio's shop. I love how it looks on this layout. I decided to use the leftover piece from the paper that I cut the giraffe image next to the title of the layout (I do not like to waste paper).

Pretty Little Studio Ain't Life Grand Papers: Flower Power, Happy Go Lucky-Teal,  Live and Love, Love This, Maybe Baby, Over the Rainbow, Stickers: Shutterbug, Snapshots, So to Speak, Die-Cuts: Mixed Bag, Love Life Words, Cut-Aparts: Happy Life, Everyday.

Thank you for stopping by today. What do you think of the papers in this collection? What is your favorite? I must say, "Over the Rainbow" is my favorite. :)

This is what life is about!

Good morning friends. I hope you're having a great week! Do you ever open up your new kit and get excited, thinking you know just the right photo to use? A photo that maybe you haven't scrapped yet because you didn't have any product that might work with the photo or theme of the photo? Well, that's what happened to me with this month's Clique kit. I immediately thought of the photo I had from the fair last summer. Edward and Sidney had the best time together and I had one particular photo that captured that moment...

I used a variety of patterns for the background of my layout. I added the transparency at the bottom of the layout to cover the wood grain paper. I love how it looks. And to add a little color to the heart pattern, I colored a few hearts with a pink marker to help blend the pattern in with the layout.

I used the green and blue strip paper to make a little collage of embellishments on the right-side of the layout.

Good morning friends! I am sharing another layout I created using Creative Memories Fur-Buddies collection. I love that this collection is double sided so that you get cats and dogs, not just one or the other! For this layout, I used a variety of patterned paper to decorate the base of my layout. I love mixing patterned paper!

I matted two 3"x3" photos on white cardstock and craft then adhered them as shown. I added the stickers using foam squares to make the heart and paw print pop off the page. And I tucked the little dog behind the left photo so he's peeking out. Love this little guy!
Initially, I wanted to use the paw print boarder sticker, but I wasn't sure where so I simply tucked them on both sides of the layout.
