Good morning, friends! For those of you who are regular visitors... you know I love playing with journaling cards. Not only are they great for journaling, but you can cut out the elements and use them as die cuts. And that's what I did for this adorable mini album!
As I was reorganizing my stash for the new year I realized that I had a lot of stickers, journaling cards, die cuts, and chipboard. All of these items are perfect for minis. My desk was a chaotic mess... stuff everywhere. I'm sure I'm not the only messy scrapbooker. It's a happy mess!
First, I grabbed a few journaling cards and pictures I wanted to use and mounted the photos to each journaling card.
I fussy cut some elements from the journaling cards to use as embellishments and put them aside. Then, I just started embellishing the cards. Super simple, but fun!
I layered the die cuts using foam squares for added dimension and I love the sticker dots!! They are another favorite of mine. :)
Not all of the pages need to be loaded with embellishments... sometimes, a little goes a long way, especially when you have a great photo.
You can see how I used the elements I cut from a variety of journaling cards!
I created a collage of photos and print them out to use for this page. Next, I added the "collecting moments" strip across the middle. I decided to not use a lot of embellishments for this page so that the attention is more on the photos.
I did use a few sticker dots on this spread and the sentiment was cut from a journaling card. I cut the strip into a banner.
Another page that I kept very simple... see, mini albums can be so easy and not stressful at all. A little goes a long way.
This is a page where I just layered a variety of die cuts together and stamped my sentiment on the label.
And here is my last spread of the mini! I just adore how this turned out. Isn't this cute? What are your favorite embellishments to use?
Thank you for visiting today!
