Hello, friends! Today, I am sharing a fun tutorial on how you can make cute birthday buttons using the Bitty Stamps from Taylor Expressions, buttons, sublimation markers and Sublimation ink pads from Artesprix.
What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers/Ink Pads?
Magic Ink that transfers their beautiful colors from plain copy paper to a polyester product with a heat source. Iron-on-Ink Markers and ink pads are the way to personalize sublimation, which is specifically formulated inks that transfer only when activated with heat.
To create these buttons, you will need the following:
Artesprix Buttons
Artesprix Sublimation Ink-Black
Artesprix Original Markers
Artesprix Ink Pads in Black
Artesprix Acrylic Block
Heat Press or Regular Iron
Artesprix Heat Tape
Artesprix Protective Paper Roll
Artesprix Protective Project Mat
Taylor Expressions Bitty Border Stamps
Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1. To begin, I used the buttons as a template to trace on white cardstock using a pencil. Next, I grabbed the red ink pad and stamped the images within the circle.
Step 2: I used the markers to color in the images. This is always the fun part!
If you notice any mistakes...simply cover them with heat tape before putting the final projects in the heat press.
Step 3. Using Heat Tape, I taped down the buttons with the images facing up towards the button.
Step 4. Next, Create your sublimation sandwich. One protective Paper sheet at the bottom and one sheet at the top of the project.
Step 5. Set your heat press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and timer for 75 seconds. Make sure you place your project in your heat source image facing up.
Step 6. After your timer has completed, make sure to let your project cool down before touching it. Carefully, remove a piece of Protective Paper to make sure the colors are vibrant.
Step 7. Remove heat tape and paper from buttons to reveal your vivid designs! Don't forget to add the pin to the back of the buttons.
