Happy Friday. It's time to share the blank of the month from Artesprix and it's a fun one! How cute are these charms!? As soon as I received them, I knew exactly what stamps I wanted to use...these stamps from Studio Forty are perfect for this project.
To begin, I traced the charms onto regular copy paper using a pencil so that I could see how much space I had to work with.
Next, I stamped the images over the traced area using black sublimation ink. After that, I grabbed a few Sublimation markers to color in the images.I added the sun and birds using another stamp.
Ah, I love it so much and it's not done yet...
I created another image exactly like the first one and added the sand castle... Not sure if I'm going to like it, but I have two charms so I'm OK with experimenting!Next, I taped down the charms white side facing down using Heat Tape.
Then, I placed protective paper at the front and back of the project.
I waited for the heat press to get to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and then I placed my project in there for 45 seconds. I did a little peek test to make sure the colors were vibrant prior to pulling the heat tape and paper apart.Yes!! THEY ARE SO PRETTY! Look at the colors...so vibrant and beautiful.
The charms come with a sticky backing, but I wanted to make sure the charm stays in place...so I glued it in place.Do you have a particular project in mind for these fun charms? Comment below! If you haven't given sublimation a try, it's not as hard as it looks and it is actually a ton of fun!
