ADVENTURE/ A CHERRY ON TOP

Hello, friends! Nicole here with another masculine layout I created using 49 & Market's Rust & Revs collection. Edward and his father went to Nassau last year and I had the perfect photo to go with this collection, and I must say, it's a perfect match! Let me show you how fun rub-ons can look on any project.
I tried not to go too crazy with the embellishments. My main goal was to use the beautiful rustic rub-ons. I love rub-ons because they are so versatile. You can use them for a fun backdrop for your projects and you can use them directly onto your photos... The possibilities are endless.
To begin, I cut the base to measure 8 1/2"x11" and the cream color patterned paper to measure 7 1/2"x10". I matted the cream patterned paper to the center of the base. Next, I cut the rub-on images out individually, and rubbed them across the layout in a diagonal pattern. To make the images more cohesive, I overlapped the rub-ons. I just love them! I used my die cutting machine to create a few tags from metal tags since I didn't have any tags.

After I finished matting down the tags, I added the photo and embellishments. I used foam squares to make some of the embellishments pop off the page for dimension.
I cut the "Adventure awaits every guy with a curious mind" sentiment from the cut-apart sheet and popped it on another card using foam squares.

The epoxy stickers are so pretty... Love the rustic feel of this collection. It's so perfect for masculine projects. Those rub-ons look so pretty with the epoxy stickers. What do you think?
Have you picked up the Rust & Revs collection? What are your favorites? I must say, my favorites are all on this layout-including the rub-ons. I hope you learned a fun way to use on your next project, and you are inspired to use rub-ons to create a fun backdrop on your next project.
Thank you for visiting today! There's still time to snag some of this collection, here. Don't forget to add the rub-ons to your cart. It's literally flying off the shelves. And that's saying something...

Nic
