FAMILY LIFE/SIMPLE STORIES

Happy Friday, friends! I'm excited to share this flipbook I created using Simple Stories' Front Porch Collection. My family organized a day so that we could have professional pictures taken. It was the first week of December and it was freezing...but you can't really see that in the pictures...thankfully. I created this beauty for my grandmother and I can't wait to give it to her.

I covered the front of the album with patterned paper and then I matted the photo and journaling card behind the chipboard frame and glued it to the cover. Next, added a few rub-on elements to the chipboard. LOVE the little birdie.

I always like to decorate the back of the album as well. I used foam stickers, chipboard, stickers, and rub-ons to make it pretty.
Since there isn't a good amount a white space on this photo, I decided to keep it simple. I only added the rub-on ruler and butterfly to create a fun border.
To create this fun flip page, I cut four 3-4 journaling cards so that they were still attached and then I folded the ends in towards the middle to create the flip pages. Next, I mounted the photo inside the flip page and added a few embellishments.
Clustering embellishments is one of my favorite things to do!! Don't they look so pretty? I especially love the butterflies with the house.

Throughout the album, you may notice a patterned. For the left-side of the album, I use journaling cards with a few embellishments. To the right-side, you'll notice I include the photo. I think this creates a nice flow throughout the album. I follow this same format for all my little albums. It makes it easier to create an album in just a few hours since I already have a design in mind.
I matted the ampersand onto the doily die cut and added it to the 4x6 cut-apart sheet using foam squares to add dimension. I added the button to the center of the cream doily and a decorative brad to the green doily.
Here's a close up... the flowers are fun-ons that I cut in half. Sooooo pretty!!

For this page, I cut the woodgrain paper to measure 4x6 and then I cut the floral print to measure 3x6 and mounted it across the top of the woodgrain paper. Next, I added the camera die cut with the decorative brad.
You may already know this...but I absolutely love rub-ons!! They are great for filling in white space on photos...also for floral rub-ons, I cut them in half to stretch them out throughout the album.
Here's another flip page I created using the 3x4 journaling cards. For this page, I decided to use some of the die cuts, layered on a tag to add to the flip page. Isn't this lovely? I want to keep this album for myself...honestly.
This is what it looks like opened. I tucked the floral die cut behind the tag to fill in the white space.
I clustered a variety of die cuts on the photo to make it pretty. I love this photo...candid shots are my favorite. I hope you love this flipbook as much as I do! Check out the full Front Porch collection, here. Thank you for visiting today!
