YOU & ME/A CHERRY ON TOP

Hello everyone! Nicole here with a layout that includes three different patterned papers that is easy on the eyes! I LOVE playing with patterned papers, but sometimes, it’s hard for me to play with big and bold patterns. Today, I’m going to share how I use multiple patterns in a simple way!

For this layout, I’m using Pinkfresh studio’s Making the Best of It Collection. The color scheme of this collection is beautiful and the patterns…oh so lovely! I searched through all the patterns to decide on the patterns I wanted to use. It was hard to just choose three patterns because they are all beautiful, but the floral print patterned paper absolutely caught my eye. I LOVE IT. And because the designs are large on this paper, I looked for a smaller patterned paper that would complement the paper. The heart paper is perfect! I looked at the floral print paper to see if there was a color that caught my eye and really liked the blush patterned paper, so I grabbed that as an accent paper.

I cut all the papers to measure 8 ½ x11. I used the heart patterned paper as the base of the layout and tour the floral print paper and the blush so that I could layer them together. The torn paper will add lots of texture for the layout, which I love.

I tucked a few tags and envelopes behind the photo using colors that would pop. I used glue and foam squares to glue the die cuts and puffy stickers down. Aren’t they beautiful?

Initially, I tried to add journaling to a tag, but it didn’t look right so I just used a ruler and black pen to journal below the sticker.

I love the paper clip banner stickers, but I wasn’t happy with the direction of the paper clip so I cut it so that I could remove the paper clip and faced it the other way. I added the “You & Me” sticker using foam squares to make the banner pop a little! I tucked a variety of die cuts here and there and added the gorgeous butterflies and enamel dots to fill in the white space.

Are you a fan of patterned paper?
