BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES WEDDING ALBUM/SIMPLE STORIES

Good morning, friends! Nicole here with a beautiful SN@P Album I created using the Simple Vintage Timeless Harmony collection. This collection is so pretty and serene. I really love the soft color palette with the green, cream and light brown tones with a touch of mint and teal throughout the patterned papers and embellishments. This collection is perfect for my outdoor wedding photos from May 8th, 2004.

This collection is so pretty. I love the color scheme with the mauve blue and soft green tones with the touch of cream, teal and black. It's so beautiful. The patterns and embellishments are perfect for documenting wedding memories, concerts, and family time together.
I used the Interactive Pages throughout this album to create different page formats to make the album more interesting and eye catching. They are perfect for adding a few foam stickers, chipboards and rub-ons!
My favorite elements in this collection aside from the beautiful floral patterned papers is the butterflies. I just love them so much. I used several of them throughout this album.
Here is a pretty pocket page spread I created using the cut-apart journaling cards and tags. I added a few stickers, foam stickers and chipboard to add dimension.
I LOVE the sticker tabs! They are perfect for adding at the bottom of the photos to use as a title or journaling spot.
I created this 6x8 layout using the back of an interactive page. I tucked die cuts slightly behind the photos and added a few stickers and chipboard pieces to frame the photos. Next, I hand-journaled my story on a cut-apart tag.
For the pocket pages, I tried to stay true to the colors and elements so the pages have a nice cohesive look and everything flows nicely across the album. This spread is so beautiful and timeless. I love the touch of vintage thought this collection.
I layered a variety of die cuts and foam stickers to bring this spread together. I love that bow foam sticker! I think it looks perfect on the ticket stub. I used rub-ons for the title at the bottom of the photo.
I layered a variety of die cuts, chipboard and stickers on a 4x6 mat to create the top 4x6 page. Next, I added the photo below with no additional embellishments due to spacing constraints. As you can see, you do not need to have embellishments on every pocket page! I know...I struggle with this because I want to use all the things!
I hope you found this album inspiring! It feels so good to finally get my wedding photos in a nice sized album! And it's so lovely...I just love it. Thank you for visiting today!

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL/SIMPLE STORIES

Good morning, friends!! Happy 4th of July to my American friends. Today, I'm excited to share my latest flipbook I created using Simple Storie's Simple Vintage Land of the Free collection. This collection is filled with patriotic elements to document your favorite memories.

To begin, I covered the 4x6 Navy Flipbook using the star print patterned paper. I used a pencil to trace the paper around the cover of the album and then I cut it out and glued the patterned paper to the cover of the album. Next, I added the sheer ribbons and die cut.
I LOVE the green pickup truck with all the festive images. I used this image a few times throughout the album! I popped the "remember" sticker up using foam strips and glued the stars below the title. For the bottom page, I cut the flower die cut in half to create a fun border. Next, I added the die cut sentiment and foam heart stickers. Tip: The foam stickers from the Sea and Sand collection works for this collection!
I cut a few patterned papers to measure 4x6 for the page inserts and then added the die cuts and stickers. Usually, I follow a format when I create these fun flip books. The left-side of the album includes embellished/title pages and the photos go on the right-side. This helps me keep the album simple and easy to complete.
I cut two 3x4 journaling cards and folded it in half to create a flip page for the top page. This is a fun way to create interactive pages. Next, I embellish the inside of the flip with tags, die cuts and photos.
The embellishments are so fun and perfect! I used a lot of them throughout the album. I added a few foam strips to a few die cuts to make them pop up to add dimension to the pages. I used the decorative brad from the Sand & Sea Collection.
I used the die cut postal stamp die cuts and sticker tabs to fill in the white space at the bottom of the layout. Next, I placed the border sticker at the top of the page to frame the page, and make it more festive.
I created a flip-page by cutting a 3x4 card and folding it to shorten the length a bit and then I mounted it behind the 4x6 base to create the flip. Next, I added a few stickers and die cuts to fill in the white space.
What do you think about this collection? What is your favorite patterned paper? I love them all...but if I had to pick one, I'd say the star print paper is my favorite.
Here's another fun flip page I created at the top. I plan on tucking a 3x4 photo from this year's festivities in there!
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope I inspired you to make a flipbook of your own, using your favorite photos over the years.

LIFE IS SO VERY GOOD/SIMPLE STORIES

Good morning, friends. I'm excited to share my latest flipbook I created using Simple Stories' Color Me Happy collection. I love how bright, and fun this collection is! It's perfect for a girls weekend away! I used this collection to document my sister's 30th birthday bash!

I covered the flipbook with patterned paper and then aded the stickers and chipboard. I used foam squares to pop up the sticker title for dimension.

Throughout the album, I have a few simple pages and a variety of flips and interactive pages. Sometimes, a tag with a photo and just a few embellishments is enough! Not every page needs to be filled with a lot of embellishments. Although, I must admit...that's hard for me because I always want to use all the things. lol

I cut a 3x4 journaling card from the cut-apart sheet and folded the top about 1/4" and added double sided red tape to add it at the top of the photo to create a flip.
I love that the die cut pack comes with little pockets! I used string to loop through the die cut tags to hold them all in place and tucked them inside the pocket.
I just love all the little details of this album! I'm slightly bummed that this album does not have a YouTube tutorial because I created this in March during my weekend CROP with my friends! We had such a great time together.
My sister took so many fun photos during her weekend birthday bash, which made this album come to life! I just love how happy she is with her close friends.
I glued the chipboard frame to the photo to zoom in on the water. I love playing with embellishments, and finding fun ways to use them.
LOVE the "COLOR" title with the decorative brads. Isn't this such a fun page!? The colors make me happy. I cut three 3x4 journaling cards so they were attached horizontally and then folded the right side towards the center to create the flip.
Katie had so many photos, which was hard to include in this album due to the limited pages...I got creative and printed a variety of photos in a small print and then used my metal tag die to cut them into tags to add them to the pocket! This was my first time doing this in my flipbook and I absolutely loved how this turned out! Also, rather than include some of these pages in the pocket sleeves, I mount them right onto the sleeve using a strong double sided adhesive tape.
LOVE that circle pattern paper with the "LOVE" sticker that I popped up using foam squares. I added the decorative brad for fun.

For this spread, I printed two 3x4 photos onto a 4x6 photo paper and mounted it to a 4x6 piece of patterned paper. Next, I added a few embellishments and created the flip. Super simple!

I love this photo with the butterfly! The colors just pop. I kept this page pretty simple to focus on the photo.

I traced the die cut journaling card onto the photo so the photo fit perfectly at the front to create the flip. This was super fun! I was impressed with myself for thinking to do this!

And that's a wrap! I can't wait to give this to my sister!! It turned out so cute and it's just perfect...this is  one of my favorite albums I've made in the past year. GOOD TIMES FLIPBOOK/SIMPLE STORIES

Hello, friends! It's Nicole here with a  bit of fresh air! Today, I'm excited to share this adorable 4x6 Flipbook I created using the Pink Lemonade Collection. It's perfect for Spring or Summer! The color palette is pretty and fresh, and I'm all for it! I decided to document my walks with my fur-babies. My favorite time of the year is Spring and I always enjoy looking at the pretty flowers during my walks...I often at times will stop just to snap a photo or two. Nature is so beautiful!

One thing that drew my eye is the lemons! I think they are super fun and I used bits and pieces of lemon elements throughout the mini album. Actually, I used it all...but I especially love the lemons. The yellow makes me happy! Hence, the album is yellow...
I incorporated a variety of hidden pockets and flip elements throughout the album to make it fun! There will be a Youtube process video at the end so you can see how this came together!

The clustered embellishments are so pretty. I always struggle with how many to use... what's too much? Or maybe...you can never have too many. It's one of my favorite things to do... looking through all the embellishments to determine what to use in my albums. And they  are what really brings this album to life.
I cut four 3x4 journaling cards so they were attached in a strip and folded both ends to the center to create a fun flip page. Next, I mounted the card directly to the page protector sleeve.
I used a variety of stickers from the collection kit. Those label stickers are my favorite! And the butterflies are so pretty!
I mounted this page to the page protector so that the tag pulls in and out from the side! This is a great way to include hidden journaling inside your albums.
The patterns in this collection is so fresh and pretty. I tried to use most of them throughout the album.
Here is another flip page I created using the 3x4 journaling cards. Isn't this the cutest album ever?
I hope you found this album inspiring! Are you ready to grab your spring photos and make one of your own? Be sure to check out my process video for tips on techniques on how to create a variety of interactive pages for your next mini!

10 POCKET PAGE TIPS TO INSPIRE/A CHERRY ON TOP

Good morning, friends! Last month, I went to a weekend crop with my friends and I finally made the friendship album I have been wanting to make...I've been so busy working on design team projects that it was on the back burner. However, I scrapped for myself all weekend and it felt great! I'm sad though...because this is one of those projects I wish I had filmed! It was so much fun to make! For these pocket pages, I am using 49 & Market's Curiosities in Willow Grovecollection. I'm also using the 6x8 Album to store these gorgeous pages. It's such a beautiful collection with the gold foiling and transparency die cuts. I JUST LOVE IT ALL.

Here are 10 pocket page tricks to apply on your next pocket page album to make them shine!
  1. Use foiled embellishments to add shimmer to your pocket page spread.
  2. Apply rub-ons to photos and journaling cards, and layer them with die cuts for dimension.
  3. Cut transparency die cuts in half to use on a different pocket page spread.
  4. Use metal dies to create interactive pockets with hidden tags.
  5. Mount die cuts to the page using foam squares to add dimension.
  6. Apply tag to 3x4 journaling card and embellish with rub-ons, die cuts and other desired embellishments.
  7. Try sticking with a color scheme across the pockets to keep a cohesive appearance.
  8. Use a Cannon Selphy to print 3x4 photos.
  9. Cut floral die cuts in half and use part of the flower as a border at the bottom of the journaling card with a label.
  10. Have fun, and enjoy the process!

The layers across these pocket pages make my heart happy. I just love all the beautiful embellishments.
My favorite embellishments from the Curiosities in Willow Grove collection are the rub-ons, and foiled embellishments! I couldn't get enough of them. They add so much to the pocket pages and they are so pretty.

As you can see, I used a variety of rub-ons on the photos and journaling cards. Also, I cut a few of the transparency die cuts to use only half of the circle so I could use them on other pages throughout the album. I added a die cut frame to the tag and added the greenery and butterfly along with the sentiment for one of the pockets. Aren't these pocket pages gorgeous?!
I added some patterned paper to the pocket that comes with the album. Next, I added a variety of rub-ons and die cuts. I folded one of the notebook pages in half and glued both sides together to create a fun insert page for the album. Then, I added the transparent die cut and a few rub-ons to fill int he white space.

I hope you found these pages inspiring! I had so much fun working on this album. Check back on the blog on April 16th as I'll be sharing 6x8 pages from this album! I have a variety of pocket pages and 6x8 scrapbook pages to inspire.

Thank you for visiting today!
