Hello, friends! Nicole here with a few Flipbook pages. Do you love butterflies as much as me? I love them and I will put them on any page…it doesn’t even matter if it’s a holiday layout…lol. I’m excited to share a few fun ideas with you on how to make your page pop with butterflies!
I discovered a way to make the butterfly wings “float” from the page to make them look like they are popped up without using foam squares… I used a very thin strip of adhesive down the center of the butterfly and then I folded the wings up a bit. Next, I added a decorative brad to the center to add dimension to the butterfly.
I added a few more butterflies across the photo to fill in some of the white space. I used foam squares to pop the “celebrate” die cut up and added a few enamel dots.
For this spread, I used a 4x6 chipboard frame and added various patterned papers and embellishments within the frame. Notice how the frame has butterflies… I added a few chipboard butterflies over the butterflies to add dimension.
The chipboard butterflies were the exact same size as the butterflies on the frame. It makes such a difference, too!
For my last layout, I used a butterfly to cover some of the picture that I didn’t want shown! Butterflies are perfect for also hiding imperfect areas of your photos. What do you think?
