Hello, friends! Nicole here with a fun flipbook I created using the Happy Travels collection. I haven't gone anywhere recently, so I thought I would go through some old pictures to relive the memories. My favorite vacation place is Costa Rica and I had so fun making this album using photos I took back in 2006. Do you ever go back and scrapbook older memories?
I used a variety of chipboard elements to decorate the cover. The black and white ribbon looks so pretty with the cluster of embellishments. I especially love the globe Decorative Brad. It's so cute, and perfect.
I matted two photos using the chipboard frame and adhered it directly to the clear page protector. I used scissors to cut the balloon so the page flipped without any snags. The photo at the bottom is so pretty...I only added a few stickers and the brad just to add a little something without taking the attention from the beautiful photo.
Next, I cut 2 3x4 journaling cards so they were still attached and folded in half to create a flip for the "Happy" spread. After that, I added the tag, stickers, and brads to fill in the white space. All the yellow makes me happy.
One of my favorite things to do is find fun, playful ways to use embellishments. I added the big "ROAM" foam sticker across the photo and added the stickers and chipboard heart. For the second spread, I added a few die cuts in the bottom right-side corner to fill in the space.
As you can see, these 4x6 flip books are super simple and oh so much fun! This album only took me about two hours to put together and I just love how quickly it came together. Honestly, I spend more time editing the pictures and printing them than it did to make this fun album...but that's part of the process.
Here are a few more gorgeous pictures with lots of embellishments. I love that "TODAY" die cut in yellow. It's super fun and it looks perfect on the page.
Here is another flip page I created using the 3x4 journaling cards. I added the chipboard and die cuts along with the decorative brad to make it pretty.
I carefully cut around the tag journaling card so that when the page was closed, it looked like an actual tag instead of a journaling card. Then, I added the white string.
The flip pages really make this album pop. If you haven't played with the journaling cards in your albums, try it. I promise, it's so much fun. I added chipboard to the images of the card to add dimension.
Here's the last page of this fun album. What do you think? Are you inspired to make one, yet? Thank you so much for visiting and if you're looking for help on how to get started, click here to see my process video for most of the album! Click here, to shop for products used using my affiliate link.
