Hello, friends. I'm excited to share my latest creation using Simple Stories' Fun Times collection. I was super excited when I saw this collection because I have carnival photos from when Edward was about 7 that I never did anything with due to not having the right supplies and well, this collection is just perfect!
I really enjoy working with the 4x6 flipbooks. They are super simple to use and it makes it easy to make a mini album in just a few hours.I printed a variety of photos after I edited them in Photoshop. Some photos are 4x6 while others are 3x4. I like using different sizes depending on the type of page I am working with and I'm going to share a few of those ideas throughout this post. I take advantage of the white space on the photos to include die cuts, stickers and decorative brads. It's super simple, but it really adds a great deal of interest to the pages.
Sometimes, a little goes a long way...not all pages need to have a ton of embellishments. I layered the drink and pretzel die cut to the 4x6 card and added the fireworks die next to the title to fill in the white space.I cut two journaling cards so they were connected vertically to create a flip page. Next, I added the stickers and layered the "yes" flag using foam squares to add dimension.
This is a simple spread. I cut the patterned paper to measure 4x6, matted the photo with orange patterned paper. I cut another strip of patterned paper to adhere across the 4x6 base. Next, I mounted the photo down along with the die cuts and stickers.
I created the flip page by cutting 3 3x4 journaling cards so they were connected. Next, folded the left side in to create the flip and added the cut-apart tag. I decorated the 4x6 photo using die cuts.LOVE the ferris wheel 3x4 card! I added the decorative brad to the center to add dimension. Next, I added another flip page. I cut the photo so I would fit within the journaling card and added a few stickers.
I'm loving all the interactive pages throughout this album. It adds a great deal of movement and it just makes the album so much fun, and playful.I cut 2 3x4 journaling cards so they were connected and used the left side as a frame for the photo. Next, I used foam squares to mount down the balloons and added a few foam stickers and the decorative brad.
Isn't this album so much fun? The embellishments are so perfect and they just scream carnival! I also created a YouTube Video on how I put the majority of this album together. Check it out below and click on my affiliate link, here to shop for the Fun Times collection!
Thank you so much for visiting today!
