ED-SAY CHEESE/TRINITY STAMPS

Hello, friends! Nicole here with a mixed media layout I created using a variety of fun metal dies and stamps! I totally had fun creating this layout. I just love the mixed media background with the numbers! There's more Trinity products on this layout than I realized.

To begin, I splashed a few different watercolor spray inks all over watercolor paper. Next, I used a paper towel to dab the excess ink off the paper.

I let the ink dry a little before stamping all the "13" in the background. I just love the Number Candles stamp set! The numbers look so great in the background.

After I finished stamping the numbers, I added a few embellishments and some more stamping and dies. I punched the "ED" title out using the Modern Embossed Alphabet Die Set. I love how they have an embossed edge. They add so much to the alphas! I used alcohol markers to color in the letters. I clustered a variety of embellishments at the bottom of the layout, adding some elements from the Tiny Speech BubblesDie Set, and the Picture This Stamp Set, along with some Baubles. Isn't this fun!?

What do you think? It's super fun, right...and a great masculine layout! I hope you found this layout inspiring! Click here to shop through my affiliate link. The price you pay will not be higher...however, I may be compensated for your purchase.Thank you for visiting today.

HAPPY MOMENT/PERFECT PAINTS

Good morning, friends. Nicole here with a mixed media spread I created using a picture from the 4th of July. The Cayenne, Guilded Azure, and Dove's Wing Polishing Plaster are the perfect mediums for 4th of July projects! I paired them together with a star stencil to create a fun background!

I love using Polishing Plaster because there's no prep needed since there isn't much water in this medium... Also, it works great with chipboard pages, which I am using for today's project. After looking at this, I wished I had used a little more Dove's Wing and less Gilded Azure to make it more even, but I still love it!

Here is a close up of the Polishing Plasters... aren't they beautiful! It's my favorite medium to play with and they are so easy to work with...just grab a stencil and palette knife and start spreading the Polishing Plaster through the Twilight Stencil from Art Anthology.
To begin, I taped down the stencil over the chipboard to prevent the stencil from slipping. Next, I grabbed my palette knife and spreaded each of the Polishing Platers, one by one down the stencil to create a colorful background.
While the Polishing Plaster is drying... I usually work on creating a fun matted background for my picture using a variety of die cuts and embellishments. I used Simple Stories' Linen Market die cuts and embellishments to embellish this spread. Once the mixed media is completely dry, I adhere the matted photo to the center of the page. Super fun and simple!

Loving the cluster of embellishments on this spread. Isn't it fun? I glued a few enamel dots to the center of the stars, too.
That Gilded Azure is absolutely beautiful. I'm partially biased since blue is my favorite color.

Have you played with the Polishing Plaster? What is your favorite colors? We'd love to hear in the comments. Thank you so much for visiting today!

MIXED MEDIA CARDS/TAYLOR EXPRESSIONS

Happy Monday, friends! The word party layered stencil from Taylor Expressions has been sitting on my desk for too long! I finally used them on two sets of cards and both sets are so different from one another. When I subscribed to their Quad club, I told myself I would not put the stencils away until I use them so I'm not buying stuff and not using it! So far, I'm doing good with that motto. LOL

I have to admit...at first I did not like this color combo at all. In fact, I almost through the first set away...but then I got an idea... to splatter some spray ink all over it and trace the stencils with a black pen, adding some doodling to see how that would look and I absolutely LOVE it!!
I heat embossed the "Let Your Light Shine" sentiment with Raven embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. Their embossing powders are fantastic!! The inks used are from The Stamp Market. I used Blush, Mellon, and Gravel.
Here's another card I created...adding the embossed sentiment in gold with more doodling. I used a foam strip to pop up the sentiment. It took awhile to trace all the images with the black pilot pen, but oh it was so worth it!
By the time I got to the Thanks card, I decided to keep it simple and left it as is. :)

Here are the other cards I created using the same stencil, but with inks from Catherine Pooler to create monochromatic cards with Glitter Glaze. Brutus Monroe has some awesome Glitter Glaze if you wanted to add some shimmer to your projects.

This set took longer to create because after I inked each layer, I applied glitter glaze. Then I had to wait for that layer to dry before adding the next stencil and glaze etc... but it's so shimmery and pretty!
I must admit, I have a box of embossed sediments already done to make my card making go along faster! Whenever I need a sentiment, all I have to do is look through my box.  Taylor Expressions makes some great stamps with metal dies that makes creating sentiments easy!! If you are new to stamping...check out their website. They are my favorite stamping store these days. And their products are so cute!
I added some gems and a sentiment in white... you can't see it really well in the photo but it says "you are my favorite people."
And here's another one I created with the white on white sentiment. It says, "your strength is inspiring."
And since I am always needing birthday cards... A few birthday cards!

I hope you found these cards inspiring. They were so much fun to make! Thank you for visiting today.

DAY IN THE SUN/PERFECT PAINTS

Good morning, friends! I'm sharing this fun summer layout using pretty papers and embellishments from Simple Stories and Polishing Plaster in Dove's Wing from Perfect Paints. I wanted to add some stenciling on white cardstock to create a subtle effect and I just LOVE how the Dove's Wing Polishing Plaster looks through the scalloped stencil.

This medium is super easy to use! Simply tape down the stencil over the cardstock and use a palette knife to run the Polishing Plaster through the stencil.

It's got such a great texture and my stenciled images come out clean every time! And you can apply a heat gun to it, to speed up the drying time.

Here is how it looks wet, up close. So pretty. Look at all the crisp images. So pretty!

Here is how I set up my background using the 6x8 paper pad. Sometimes, I like to just a small amount of patterned with lots of pretty embellishments.
I'm so happy with how this layout turned out. Simple, with just the right amount of embellishments.
Here are some close ups of the layout.
I love this little cluster of embellishments! It makes me so happy!
And I had to add the birds!
What do you think? Have you tried using the Polishing Plaster on your projects? It's my new favorite medium and it's perfect for stenciling on your projects! Check out all the gorgeous colors, here. Thank you so much for visiting today!

ENJOY/TANDIART

Good morning, friends! Happy Monday to you. I'm sharing a new layout I created using Tandiart's newest collection, Neon Pop. I'm not a fan of neon colors, but I really like the look of the neon colors against black!! The colors just pop!

I printed the digital prints on Matte Coated Cardstock and it looks so pretty!! It looks like something I would purchase at the craft store. After I printed all of the images, I used scissors to fussy cut. It's not too hard... just takes a little time.
I used some foam squares to pop some of the images up off the page and splashed a little black spray ink all over. I like the splatters because it helps break up the white background.

LOVE the trio of hearts. Super cute!!

And the flowers are lovely, too. Super colorful... I just love this so much!
What do you think? Do you like neon colors?

Thank you so much for visiting today and I hope you have a fantastic week! Don't forget to check out the Neon Pop collection.

NOTHING BUT SMILES/STUDIO FORTY

Good morning, friends! I’m super excited to share this pretty mixed media layout I created using the Bloom Stamp set from the Essentials release!

To begin, I splashed some watercolor ink all over the watercolor paper. I used watercolor paper instead of regular white cardstock because it really brings out the ink colors…they are so vibrant and pretty!

Next, I stamped the flowers onto the paper being mindful where the matted photo will go. In fact, I printed the 4x6 photo and moved it around the layout to determine where I wanted it to go before stamping the flowers.

Then, I used alcohol markers to color in the flowers. Aren’t they beautiful?! I think I’m going to make some cards with these beauties.

I used a scrap piece of paper to color on to see if the colors look nice together befogging coloring them in on the main layout.

I didn’t want to overdo it with embellishments because I wanted the focus to be the photo with the stamp work, therefore I only used a few stickers to help frame the photo.

What do you think? Have you seen the Essentials Collection? Check it out here and use code Nicole10 to save 10% on your purchase! You know you want those stamps! Grab them today and get scrapping!

FABULOUS

Happy National Scrapbooking Day, friends! Studio Forty is hosting a fun sketch challenge in their group. Click here to participate!

Here is the sketch! You can flip in, turn it... use it to inspire you!

To begin, I sprayed a few different spray inks in the background from Art Anthology. Next, I splashed some hot pink watercolor ink all over. Once the ink was completely dry, I used the Gentle Leaves stencil and ink to add some greenery to the background.

I used a variety of embellishments from Studio Forty's shop to embellish this layout. This layout was a great way for me to use up embellishments that have been sitting in my stash.

I used a black pen and ruler to create the scribbles. And of course I had to include a few sticker dots...my favorite...love the colors and quality of these dots!

I included a little piece of journaling on the tag along with more scribbles.

Isn't my baby niece, precious. :) Thank you for visiting today!
