Good morning. Nicole here! I'm excited to share this adorable Metal Key Chain I created using Artesprix's Sublimation Markers and the Sublimation Ink Pad that is available in the shop. I'm ready for Spring! We've had some crazy weather in Maryland this winter... I'm looking forward to Spring!! So...to get myself in the mood, I created a spring keychain. :)
Materials:
- Metal Key Chain
- Iron-On-Ink Sublimation Markers
- Sublimation Ink Pad
- Stamp Set Used for Design
- Stamping Acrylic Block
- Plain Copy Paper
- Pencil
- Heat Tape
- Protective Paper
- Project Mat
Tools:
Step 1: Trace your key chain onto a plain piece of copy paper using a pencil. That way you know how much space you have to work with.
Tip: Set your heat press at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 90 seconds before you start working on your key chain. That way, the heat press will be hot enough to sublimate your images when you are finished. :)
Step 2: Stamp images within the traced area using the Sublimation Ink Pad and Acrylic Block. Next, color in the images using your Sublimation Markers. It's OK to go outside the lines...that way you do not get any white edges if you are coloring the entire background.
Step 3: Using heat tape, tape down the key chain (white side faced down) onto the images.
Step 4: Place a piece of Protective Paper at the top and bottom of your key chain. Place your "Sublimation Sandwich" inside the heat press for 90 seconds at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 5: Carefully, remove project from heat press using gloves. Then place the key chain onto the Project Mat to cool down. Then, remove the paper and heat tape to reveal your vivid designs!
