Hi everyone! Just popping on here with two family layouts I created! It felt good pulling out my stencils and inks to create this beautiful layout using the Don't Grow Up Collection. When I initially starting creating this layout I didn't plan on it being "fall-ish", but it totally works!
To begin, I sprayed watercolor paper with a light brown spray ink and dabbed off the excess ink using a paper towel.
Next, I used a stencil, blending brush and a light gray ink to blend in some florals for the background. I tried to use the same gray that is in the patterned paper.
To prevent the stencil from slipping, I will need to remember to tape down the ends using washi tape the next time I try this technique.
It still turned out very pretty!
Here are some close-ups of the layout with all the beautiful embellishments.
I cut the
feathers and
smiley face from a journaling card and the cut-apart sheet to use as embellishment for the layout. The cork hearts and twill is from my stash. Next, I used the
Oh Baby Stamp Set to stamp a few of the words below the Baby Love sticker.
I tore a strip of
Sticker Washi and placed it at the top of the photo and another piece at the bottom of the other photo to pull it all together.
For my next layout...I'm sharing another "family" layout I created using the Cozy Time Collection. My sister surprised us with a visit during the holidays and I just love this selfie!! And I felt that the Cozy Time Collection would be perfect with this photo... Wouldn't you agree?!
To begin, I grabbed my alpha stamps and markers. I had envisioned filling the background with the word "family" down the page.
Before Stamping anything down, I moved the journaling cards around until I was satisfied with the design. Then, I carefully picked up the cards and photos and set it aside.
I stamped Family all down the layout. And then I colored them in using alcohol markers.
I stamped the camera image onto a scrap piece of paper and then colored it in. Added a rhinestone to the center and mounted it to the layout using a foam square to add dimension.
I added the clear "Family time" sticker to the journaling card and then added a little journaling. Then I added another camera and stickers.
I really like the stamped images on this layout. It really makes this layout pop! Super fun, simple and easy to do!
What do you think? Are you ready to play with your stamps and journaling cards yet? Thank you so much for visiting today!
