LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE/A CHERRY ON TOP

I love using stencils and mixed media to create fun backgrounds for my layouts... it adds such a nice touch and it really makes my projects stand out! Before I started this layout, I envisioned having a subtle background of light pink florals at the top half of the layout. I didn't want it to be too bright, but I didn't have a light pink mixed media and had to get creative... After thinking of a few options, I decided to mix two different colors of polishing plaster to create the color I needed and it worked fabulously! I'll be sure to attach my process video to the bottom of the post for you to see.

I just love how the Flourish Tile stencil turned out with the mixed polishing plaster at the top! The details are so crisp and perfect. Check out Perfect Paint's Polishing Plaster. They are my favorite mixed media today and I use them regularly because they are super easy to work with and I love the texture it gives.

I used a variety of Laser Cuts to embellish the layout. they are so beautiful and the quality is amazing. Their chipboard embellishments are just as lovely. I especially love the blue frame!

To fill I some of the white space, I clustered a variety of embellishments together. I used glue and foam squares to mount everything down. The foam squares help add dimension to the layout. LOVE the gorgeous butterflies in this collection. They are absolutely beautiful. As you can see, this collection isn't just for Spring projects... it totally works for Summer layouts, too.
