HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020!

Happy weekend everybody! Last night, I stopped and grabbed a bottle of Moscato after work and came home to scrap. I had nothing in mind...I just felt like creating. This is my third Memory Planning I created using Heidi Swapp's ideas and product. Love her stamps. Some of the stamps are from Ali Edwards. I just used whatever I wanted on this layout...

To begin, I added the photos on the left-side and across to the second half. Once the photos were placed down, I added my stamps. And then the embellishments/journaling.

The hardest part for me...is where to start...so after doing a few of these spreads, I find it easier to place your photos down first and then your stamping... 

Once your stamps are down, you are pretty much working in small grids... If you love scrapping grid layouts, this is something you might want to try! 

I love Heidi Swapps' Chapter Storyline Collections. They come with beautiful vellum stickers!! Seriously, gorgeous...

I used inks from Catherine Pooler and The Stamp Market. Also, I used Altenew's markers to color in some of the images. So pretty.

What do you think? Isn't this super fun?! I just love it so much!

Hi all. One of my goals for 2021 is to use up my stash and stop buying new papers and stickers that just sits on the shelf...I've made a few purchases this year, but none of it has been paper etc... I bought some stuff for Heidi Swapp's Stop the Blur Memory Keeping Subscription that I subscribed to. I'm looking forward to it!

Last week, I went through my scraproom and purged all the things I no longer wanted. I have three boxes of stuff to give to the Cozy Crop House. It feels so good to finally purge and re-organize...I actually want to make stuff again. Which, I haven't felt like making anything for a few months... I've been in a funk, but I think I'm doing better. 

For this travel notebook page, I used a few journaling cards and tags/die cuts from Elle's Studio. The metal heart is from Ali Edwards. I love it and it adds such a nice touch to this layout.

I used Creative Memories' Lace Border Punch for the bottom and then tucked another journaling card behind the layout to add color at the bottom.

I used some thin thread to tie through the tags. I like how they look with the thread. I opted not to use ribbon because I did not want to cover the "currently loving" sentiment at the top of the layout.

I used a black fine tip pen to hand-journal my story at the bottom. Not a whole lot of journaling...just enough to know what happened.

I plan on using up some more of my stash all month long! What are your goals for 2021? Have you subscribed to any new kit clubs/subscriptions? I'd love to hear.
