FALL IS IN THE AIR/CREATIVE MEMORIES

Happy Fall ya'll! I love the fall and scrapping this season! Today, I'm sharing a layout I created using Creative Memories' It's Fall Ya'll Collection from last year's release. I saw it last winter and grabbed it. It's such a beautiful collection. I especially love the jewel tones.

Every year, the grandkids decorate the pumpkin with the turkey pieces that have been used since my sisters were toddlers! This turkey has been in the family for over 20 years and we are keeping the tradition alive... Edward has decorated it for several years and now it's Henry's turn! So fun!

These laser cut borders are made of nice quality! An so are the die cuts. They are not paper thin like some I have used from other companies.

I layered lots of borders along the middle of the layout prior to adding the photo. Once the photo was in place, I tucked all of the die cuts and stickers around the photo. I can't tell you how much fun I had with this layout... All of the embellishments are super cute!! I had to really stop... because I just wanted to pile it all on there...

What do you think? Isn't this layout adorable! :) I just checked Creative Memories' website and they still have this collection in the shop. Grab it, here if you're looking for it. I do not receive anything for your purchase...I'm simply sharing the love. Thanks for visiting today!!

PICK OF THE PATCH/BRUTUS MONROE

Good morning friends! Today, I'm sharing a clean and simple layout using this month's Fall Favorite Dies from Brutus Monroe, using Creative Memories' It's Fall Ya'll collection. I love this time of the year and one of my favorite things to scrapbook is Fall layouts.

To begin, I cut a 12x12 piece of patterned paper to measure 8x11 and white cardstock to measure 7 1/2x10 1/2 so that when both pieces are mounted together, I have the base of the layout with a nice border.

I punched the pumpkins, two maple leaves and the "thanks" sentiment using my Sizzix and Fall Fall Favorite Dies to use as embellishments for the layout. These dies are so pretty! I especially love the pumpkin and thanks sentiment. :)

I used lots of stickers all over the layout to help frame the photo and hide any unwanted images showing. The pumpkins worked great for the corner of the layout because three of us are wearing pants and two are wearing shorts, which looked weird to me for fall... So I tried to cover up myself so the photo wouldn't look so weird. :)

Thank you for visiting today and don't forget to grab your Fall Favorite Dies today! I have a feeling, these won't last long in the shop! Click here to shop through my affiliate link. The price you pay will not be higher, however, I may be compensated for promoting the product.

MORE OF THIS

Hi all. One of my goals for 2021 is to use up my stash and stop buying new papers and stickers that just sits on the shelf...I've made a few purchases this year, but none of it has been paper etc... I bought some stuff for Heidi Swapp's Stop the Blur Memory Keeping Subscription that I subscribed to. I'm looking forward to it!

Last week, I went through my scraproom and purged all the things I no longer wanted. I have three boxes of stuff to give to the Cozy Crop House. It feels so good to finally purge and re-organize...I actually want to make stuff again. Which, I haven't felt like making anything for a few months... I've been in a funk, but I think I'm doing better.

For this travel notebook page, I used a few journaling cards and tags/die cuts from Elle's Studio. The metal heart is from Ali Edwards. I love it and it adds such a nice touch to this layout.

I used Creative Memories' Lace Border Punch for the bottom and then tucked another journaling card behind the layout to add color at the bottom.

I used some thin thread to tie through the tags. I like how they look with the thread. I opted not to use ribbon because I did not want to cover the "currently loving" sentiment at the top of the layout.

I used a black fine tip pen to hand-journal my story at the bottom. Not a whole lot of journaling...just enough to know what happened.

I plan on using up some more of my stash all month long! What are your goals for 2021? Have you subscribed to any new kit clubs/subscriptions? I'd love to hear.

Thank you for visiting today!

DREAMER

Hi everybody! I'm back today with a fun mixed media art journal spread I created for Bad Girls Couture using their gorgeous Art Journal and acrylic paints and mediums. I love BLUE. It's my favorite color so I thought I'd create a blue layout with some yellow and white to help tone down the BLUE. :) I love how this spread came to life. So many textures and embellishments.

Before I applied the paint, I glued a few stencils all over the layout. Once the stencil was dry, I painted over them. Then I used a stencil and molding paste to add some more texture to the spread.

I used matted gel to adhere all of the embellishments. Regular tape runners will not hold everything together... When working in art journals, it's better to use glue or gel!

I painted on white cardstock then ran the cardstock through my printer to print my journaling. Before doing this, I waited an hour to be sure the paint was completely dry. I did not want to break my printer!

I ran the leaf metal die though my Sizzix to add more interest to the cluster of embellishments.

ART JOURNAL SPREAD

Good morning everyone. I've been getting my hands dirty. I love playing with mixed media products. It really warms my soul. This art journal spread took a long time to create because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the background. I think there's probably three different colors beneath this spread that I covered up... A bit of gesso will change everything... remember that for your next mixed media project.

I used Art Anthology's Coloration Sprays Plush and Sky for the background with some other acrylic paints I had in my stash. I covered the Double Flower stencil on plain cardstock using molding paste. Once the paste was completely dry, I sprayed some Coloration sprays over it and used a baby wipe to blend in the colors a bit.

I colored two wood veneer hearts using a purple marker and the Mermaid Sorbet Dimensional Paint then I added a few layers of the Sorbet Clear Coat Dimensional Paint (Linen) to add some shimmer. It looks so pretty!!!

Here are a few close up photos of the stickers, die cuts and gems.

KISSED BY THE SUN

I'm am almost out of the Good Ole' Days collection from Fancy Pants Designs. But I had I had a few sheets of patterned papers and some die cuts left so I got creative and created this gorgeous layout.

I fussy cut the tiny flowers from a strip of patterned paper to use as embellishments and then added tiny blue gems to the center of them to add dimension.

Initially, I tried stamping the flowers onto the layout, but the stamp image wasn't that great so I stamped the image onto another piece of kraft paper then cut it out using scissors to hide the initial mistake. I love this "Love You Bunches" stamp set from Trinity Stamps. It's beautiful. Since the layout already had lots of color, I decided not to color the flowers using markers.

I created the layered hearts using Trinity Stamps' Layered Die Cut Hearts to help frame the photo. LOVE these dies! You can do so much with these.

The lace trim was created using Creative Memories' Lace Trim Border Punch.

Here is a closer look at the punch. It comes in handy when I am low on embellishments!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

TRINITY STAMPS WINTER RELEASE INSPIRATION BLOG HOP

Happy Friday friends and family! Welcome to Trinity Stamp's January Blog Hop. You should be arriving from Kelly Butler-Fusco's YouTube Channel! I am so excited to have this wonderful opportunity... I have enjoyed their stamps since they first opened their company! When you have time, go check out their shop! Until then, hop along and check out all of the wonderful new releases! There is something for everyone!

I was so excited to receive the Layered Heart- 6x6 Laser Cut 2-Piece Stencil Set! These stencils are great for creating colorful layers to your projects! For this layout, I used a few Blending Buddy Brushes, Stencils and ink pads to create two hearts to frame my photo!

Along with the Layered Heart 6x6 Laser Cut 2-Piece Stencil, you can purchase the Nested Hearts Stand Alone 4 Piece Die Set. I used the heart to cover the center of the heart so I could make the layers. This die set also coordinates with our Layered Heart stencil set and our 4x6 A crafters heart stamp set.

This layered heart stencil set contains 4 different size hearts that can be used individually or together. The three smaller hearts in the set contain an etched line for the next biggest heart to make it easy to line up each layer. Our layering stencils are etched with their partnering stencil's design to make it effortless to line up your stencil just right. Use them with glitter or stencil paste, trace with a pencil lightly and watercolor, or blend ink through the stencil with our Blending Buddy Brushes! The possibilities are endless with our stencils!

Also, new in the shop...we have Crafty Love-Mixed-Size Clay Heart Sprinkles. There is a variety of colors to chose from, perfect for all of your projects!

Here is a closer look at the stencils. Isn't it pretty!?

I used the 3x4 Senti-Mini Stamp Set to create the title at the bottom. LOVE the font with the heart.

The flowers were creating using the Spring Fling Florals Stamp Set. I simply colored an area of white cardstock with the markers, stamped the images over the ink and trimmed them out using scissors. I using this technique when I am low on certain embellishments. It works every time.

There is so much to see in today's hop lineup and of course prizes to be won! We will be giving away 3 prizes! 2 $15 gift certificates and 1 $25 gift certificate.
