HAPPY/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Good morning, friends! It was very last minute...but I jumped in and created a layout last night for Pinkfresh Studio's challenge. I was in the mood to play with the Making The Best Of It collection and it was very relaxing for me to make this layout. I went back this morning and added a few more stickers to fill in some of the white space...things I forgot to put on there. Do you ever do that? Go back and redo portions of a layout?

The challenge this month is all about ombre/gradients. The inspiration provided by the team is absolutely stunning!! I'm so inspired!

This picture is from St. Patty's day so I decided to use some green with blue and yellow with a touch of pink. I LOVE this collection. It's so pretty.

I love playing with embellishments and clustering them together. It's a lot of fun for me to just play with all the pretty things. Pinkfresh Studio does a beautiful job with their collections. I especially love their patterned papers and flowers.

I used foam squares to pop up some of the embellishments to add dimension. I added in some journaling to fill in the space at the bottom,  too.

Isn't this so lovely? I especially love the vellum die cuts. The flowers look so soft and airy. Check out the collection, here.  Hope you have a great week and thank you for visiting today!

ALL IS CALM ALL IS BRIGHT/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Happy New Year's Eve, friends. We made it another year. I'm so thankful for this hobby... it's my therapy and I have been scrapbooking for over 25 years. I'm always keeping up with the trends and new techniques to prevent myself from getting bored.

I created this layout for Pinkfresh Studio's monthly challenge. We are still celebrating the holidays! I've been itching to use the new Folk Snowflakes on a layout! I created three beautiful snowflakes using the stamp, stencil, metal die and silver embossing powder. I love the simplicity of this layout! The snowflakes add so much to the layout.

I decided to make the snowflakes different shades of blue to pull the blue from the photo. I cut the Sparkling Diamonds Die from white cardstock to use as a frame for my photo.

I added some gems to the snowflakes and used foam squares to pop up the sentiment on the photo to add dimension.

With the exception of the white cardstock and sheet of patterned paper I had from my stash, I made all of the embellishments... mostly... I didn't make the sentiment. Although, if I had that sentiment in a stamp set, I would have made it, too. I just had so much fun with this layout... The tag was also made from a metal die.
What do you think? I love how the Sterling embossing powder from Brutus Monroe just pops off the snowflakes...it's so pretty!

Hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve.

US/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Happy Sunday, friends! I was off from work this Friday and it was raining all day, which was a perfect time to play in my craft room. I created this layout for this month's Grateful challenge at Pinkfresh Studio.

I'm loving the fun color palette for this month's challenge! I decided to pull out my scraps from the Tourist collection o make this layout.

You all know how much I enjoy playing with embellishments. :) There's a lot here...but I don't think it's too much. The collage design makes this fun! I used the cover of the paper pack with the blocks of patterns for this layout.

I used foam squares to pop some of the embellishments up off the page. Don't be afraid to cut your die cuts into small pieces to make them work for you. I cut a few pieces here and there for this layout. Can you spot them on the layout?

One of my favorite embellishments is chipboard frames!! They are a favorite of mine and they fit perfectly over the little squares.

What do you think? It's totally fun, right!? I love this so much.

Thank you so much for visiting today! There's still time to submit your entries for the challenge. Click, here to participate.

HAPPINESS/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Hello, friends! At least two times this week, I thought to myself, it's October...the end of October? What happened this month? LOL... And then I just recently got Covid for the fourth time...but it's not as bad as the last three times and I'm moving around a bit. I still have my taste buds, thank God. Nothing worst than not being able to taste your food...anyway, I'm popping on to share this layout I created this morning. Glad Covid isn't killing my mojo. I got sick of laying in bed and needed to create to find my happy place.

This month's color palette is so pretty and I love the tone on tone challenge...although, I didn't quite follow the rules. LOL... I have a hard time with tone on tone. I don't know why, but I did try.
It's not a Total fail...LOL. I used the Lovely Blooms collection, which goes along the color palette perfectly. Isn't this layout so pretty? That's my sister, living her best life.

I clustered lots of beautiful embellishments in various spots to fill in the white space. I never know when to quit adding stuff. I just pile it on. The more, the merrier.

I used a few foam squares to pop up the embellishments to add dimension and those little enamel dots... ah, they are so pretty.
For the bottom, I layered a few leaves and flowers along with the label for a fun journaling spot.
And I couldn't resist the little birdie... I think he looks perfect above the "Let It Go" sentiment.

This color scheme is so lovely, don't ya think? And those flowers... so PRETTY!

There's still a few days left to submit your project to the challenge! Click here, to participate. Thank you for visiting today.

EXPLORE/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Happy Sunday, friends. I created a few projects today for assignments and found some time to create this layout for Pinkfresh Studio's monthly challenge. I love playing with layers so I had to participate!

This month is about playing with layers and there's still time to get your entries in.

I went a little overboard with the embellishments on this layout, but they are too good not to use. And I've been waiting for the perfect layout to use the travel collection. A month ago, I went to Colorado to visit my sister and she took these pictures of me at the top of Rocky Mountain... I was a little scared...lol. We were so high up the mountain and when I climb the rock to get this picture, I lost my balance because I was so scared. One slip and I was dead; literally. My husband told my son not to let me do anything stupid. He didn't listen.

I cut the tags in half and then place the photo over the pieces to make them look bigger.

The puffy stickers are super cute. I manage to squeeze a few on this multi-photo layout.

I filled in the patterned boxes with more die cuts and puffy stickers to fill in the white space.

I had so much fun creating this layout! I especially like that I was able to squeeze three photos and journaling on this layout. Thank you for visiting today. Hope you have a great week.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS/PINKFRESH STUDIO

I'm sharing a layout I created for Pinkfresh Studio's Geometric challenge. I had no plan when I started this layout... I just started cutting the papers I wanted to use and looked through my embellishments for all green and blue embellishments.

This is such a fun challenge and you can do so much with geometric shapes to make your projects pop! I was torn between triangles, squares, and circles... so I decided to add some squares and circles. I'll do something with triangles on another project!

I used the Quartered Blocked stencil from The Crafter's Workshop to great the map design in blue ink to the left-side of the photo and I really like it!
I filled in the white space with a variety of stickers and chipboard, using foam squares to add dimension.
I'm not big on using alpha stickers... I just never know what to do with them so this was a challenge for me... but I think I made it work with the additional embellishments!
I added some journaling at the bottom to help pull everything together. I'm really loving the overall color scheme and design of this layout...and those circles are fun!
There's still time to participate in the challenge. Click here to participate!

SUNSHINE/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Happy Monday, friends! I'm off today so I thought I would do a little bit of scrapbooking. I created this layout for Pinkfresh Studio's monthly challenge. This month is all about Sunshine on my Mind!

Of course I had to use the Sunshine on my Mind collection! It's super cute and I just love it so much!! There's still time to get your projects submitted.

After I placed all of my embellishments down, I realized I wanted to add some stenciled hearts to the yellow stripes... so I very carefully added some paint through the stencil to create some hearts. I actually cut the stencil to make it work.

What I should have done was added a low tac masking tape... it would have made my life easier!
Regardless... This was fun to make and I like the little subtle hearts! The paint color is Rain Slicker from Perfect Paints.
Here are some close-ups of all the fun embellishments used! Ah...aren't they beautiful?!
I tucked a few flowers at the top to fill in the white space. They make me so happy!
To add dimension, I popped the sunglasses up using foam squares.

I am loving all the layers on this layout. Initially, I didn't have the pink patterned paper along the left-side of the layout, but I felt like I needed to pull some more pink into the layout and I think it totally changed the layout in a good way. Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a great week!

FAMILY/PINKFRESH STUDIO

Happy Sunday, friends! I managed to get some scrappy time in this weekend and then I ran out of photo paper! Boo... I print my photos as I need them. Lesson learned... next time order them.

I joined the Pinkfresh Studio's Create and Connect event this weekend! The instructors are so great. I don't scrap along... I watch and learn some tips and apply them to my layouts. I don't like lifting layouts 100% because I like creating my own work, but those ladies are soooo talented!

I never really thought to use the washi tape to create a fun layout... and I love using patterned papers...but if you look closely, I only used journaling cards with lots of washi flowers cut from the tape!

Those gold alphas and enamel dots are so pretty. I just love them. What do you think? Isn't this so lovely?! I had so much fun making it, too. Thanks so much for visiting today!
