THANKS

Good morning! I have a question for my friends who enjoy playing with stamps. What excites you about stamps? Meaning, what drives you to buy a particular stamp set? When you're looking for a stamp set, do you automatically search for a specific theme? For me, I look at the word phrases and shapes. The theme of the stamp does not matter much to me.

For instance, I bought the School Days Stamp Set because I have a 9 year old son and quite a few photos of him doing homework etc... that I could scrap. But, I really just love the big "thanks" word script and the tiny words! That is what drew me to this collection, not because I was looking for Back to School stamps. :)

My sister just adopted this adorable puppy from the Colorado SPCA. I just love his little ears! He is going to be a big dog!

To begin, I used the "thanks" word script and some black ink and stamped a few rows using the stamp over and over again on white cardstock to create a fun background for the layout. I really like the VersaFine Clair ink. The images come out super crisp!

Isn't that font amazing? I need an stamp set with script words like this. Seriously, it is beautiful.

Initially, I was going to keep the top part black and white, but after I started embellishing the layout, I felt that I needed to add some spray mist at the top so the colors are easier on the eyes.

If I had known I was going to use mist, I would have sprayed the mist first. Then I would have stamped the images so the ink would be more vibrant, but I still love how it looks.

I am still working on using up my stash. I am determined to use up a good amount of my stash before I shop for some newer collections. :) It's hard, but I'm going strong! I used a good amount of Pretty Little Studio and Pinkfresh Studio products on this layout. Two of my favorite companies.

I love using a variety of tags, tickets, banners and flags on my projects. They are totally fun!

I painted the bottom of the layout using Bad Girls Couture's Haute Mess Acrylic Paint. LOVE this color. It's sooooo pretty. This color looks great with the blues and turquoise and pinks.

Loves of layers and textures. Swoon

I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to spray the paw print twill to give it some color.

Thank you for visiting today! If you haven't checked out Precious Remembrance Shop, please stop by and take a look at all of the gorgeous snippets, stamps and ink pads. We offer planner stuff too! There's something for every crafter in the shop.

SO HAPPY WE'RE HERE

Hi all. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Edward's spring break has been fun! We had a birthday sleepover Friday night to celebrate his birthday with his friends...yes, it's a little late, but it was the only weekend I could have it due to work and other stuff going on. Edward had no complaints. He was just happy to have his friends over for the night.

For this layout, I used lots of Pinkfresh Studio product. They are my favorite... and I am amazed how they keep killing it with all of these fabulous collections. I just want them all. But since I need to watch my spending, I have been buying bits and pieces from all of their collections to use.

Mom snapped these photos a few weeks ago. Edward loves helping her out in the kitchen... This boy loves to cook and prepare food. He did not get that from me. Mom's determined to make someone in my house a cook. LOL

Love the die cuts from the Everyday Musings collection. And I love that this collection has lots of blue in it...my favorite color.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

ONE AWESOME DAY

Happy Friday friends! Last weekend, I created this layout at the Cozy Crop House for Pinkfresh Studio's April Challenge.

I love creating collage layouts with a variety of frames and pictures. It's super simple and fun!

I used all of the colors from this inspiration on my layout. Isn't it gorgeous? I even like the pink background...and I'm not a pink person. LOL

I punched a star out from a scrap piece of paper then adhered it to the frame using a foam square. I added a tiny gem to add dimension.

I am totally loving the 3-D heart stickers. SOOOOOO pretty!!

I added a few stickers and enamel dots here and there.

I cut a journaling tag down small enough to fit into one of the squares then added a little journaling. Then I added the stickers and puffy heart at the bottom with another gem.

I used a mini stapler to staple the heart puffy sticker...just for fun.

For the past four weeks, I've had no mojo so I kind of took a break... When I went to the crop, that was the first I have created a few layouts in weeks. I was excited to play with my new Pinkfresh Studio product too... new product always helps get the mojo going again.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

FEELING HAPPY

Hello! This month, I am guest designing for my friends over at Clique Kits! This month's kit has all kinds of beautiful papers, stickers and die cuts from Vicki Boutin's latest collection. I love how vibrant and colorful this month's kit is...seriously gorgeous!

There are a few embellishments left in the shop available to purchase! Click here to see what's available.

I used a star punch to punch a few stars on some scraps and then I tucked it behind the photo to create a fun frame for the photo.

I really had fun with this layout. Lots of layers were created using stickers and die cuts. My favorite embellishments. :)

Thanks for visiting today!
