FALL IS IN THE AIR/CREATIVE MEMORIES

Happy Fall ya'll! I love the fall and scrapping this season! Today, I'm sharing a layout I created using Creative Memories' It's Fall Ya'll Collection from last year's release. I saw it last winter and grabbed it. It's such a beautiful collection. I especially love the jewel tones.

Every year, the grandkids decorate the pumpkin with the turkey pieces that have been used since my sisters were toddlers! This turkey has been in the family for over 20 years and we are keeping the tradition alive... Edward has decorated it for several years and now it's Henry's turn! So fun!

These laser cut borders are made of nice quality! An so are the die cuts. They are not paper thin like some I have used from other companies.

I layered lots of borders along the middle of the layout prior to adding the photo. Once the photo was in place, I tucked all of the die cuts and stickers around the photo. I can't tell you how much fun I had with this layout... All of the embellishments are super cute!! I had to really stop... because I just wanted to pile it all on there...

What do you think? Isn't this layout adorable! :) I just checked Creative Memories' website and they still have this collection in the shop. Grab it, here if you're looking for it. I do not receive anything for your purchase...I'm simply sharing the love. Thanks for visiting today!!

FALL IS IN THE AIR/STUDIO FORTY

Hello friends. I decided to create another multi-photo layout using some sunflower photos I took from one of my walks. Again... lots of lovely layers on this layout!! If you haven't seen Studio Forty's newest collection, Together...check it out, here! It's so pretty!

I love the collage of patterned paper/journaling cards on this spread. Super fun!

I decided to use those frames, too. They are a personal favorite...and the "today" sentiment was stamped on paper and fussy cut to use as a sub-title for the layout. More stickers and stamping... and the tags were created with metal dies. I felt like the bottom needed something...

I hope you found these layouts inspiring! Don't forget to check out the full collection, here! Thank you so much for visiting today.

TOGETHER/STUDIO FORTY

Good morning friends! I'm so excited to share two layouts I created using the newest collection, Together. This collection is so pretty. I just love the color scheme and patterns/embellishments. It's alls so very lovely.

I had so much fun creating this layout. It was nice to finally be able to scrapbook these pictures I took of Edward and Moxie playing. The journaling cards were used to frame the photos.

This collection is so versatile. You can use it for many different occasions.

I fussy cut the white tag from a journaling card and stamped the "Good Night" sentiment using a light gray ink. The chipboard frames are just the right size to frame some of the photos!

That hedgehog die is the cutest... I had to find a way to put him on this layout... The  tags were created with metal dies. I used them to help fill in the white space at the top and cut the half circle from a journaling card to use as well.

ADVENTURE/STOP THE BLUR

Happy Sunday friends and family. I'm popping on to share another vacation spread I created using various Stop the Blur kits from Heidi Swapp.

I really love the color scheme of this spread and the embellishments I created using metal dies!

And all of the fun journaling pockets and tabs! Super fun!

And what about all of the fun sentiments on the journaling card. I really wanted to use those stamps and this was a perfect way to utilize them!!

I stamped the camera onto the card and glued a gem to the center of the lens.

I need some more of these journaling pockets and tags... I just love this...better yet, I need a die to make them...

Here is a close up of the tags/tabs.

Fun, right!? Every time I think to myself. I need to cancel Heidi Subscription because I have so much...she comes up with some cute more embellishments and I decide not to cancel...and to use up my goodies. :)

Have you taken the plunge? Are you thinking about trying this format for your stories. I must admit, I struggled with this format for about half the year when I first tried it two years ago, but now, I have a system and LOVE this format. And honestly, I am finding that I get more likes on my Instagram account when I post these spreads...so people like them! I think it's because I'm using real life photos and everything doesn't look to pretty! Weird, but true.

Well, thank you for visiting today! I gotta run and take my dog for his evening walk. He's pawing at me.

MOMENTS/THE CRAFTER'S WORKSHOP

Good morning friends. Happy Monday! I’m sharing a mixed media layout I created using the TCW990 Flourish Tile stencil. I love this stencil so much. It’s so pretty.

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with product to create this layout. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To start, I grabbed a sheet of watercolor paper, ink and blending brushes. Next, I placed the stencil over the watercolor paper and blended the inks through the stencil using the blending brush.

I love how pretty this looks! Simple simple, but oh, so pretty!

Next, I grabbed my spray bottle and sprayed water all over the layout. The ink will react to the water…and it creates a nice watercolor effect. You will see it in the close up photos. 🙂

After I was finished working on the background, I grabbed some paper and embellishments and started moving them around the page to design the layout. This part takes me the longest because I’m a fussy scrapbooker… I’m never 100% happy with the design…most of the time. There comes a point where I just tell myself, enough is enough already…and I move on. 🙂 Notice the splatters on the page caused by the water? I love it…so pretty.

Here are some close-up photos of all the pretty details of the layout. I enjoyed creating this layout of Angel and I. I snapped this photo while we were in North Carolina together with our families. We’ve known each other since I had Edward. Her daughter and my son are very close friends.

I hope you found this layout inspiring! Doesn’t this layout feel like summer…even with the floral elements?! Thank you so much for visiting today.

VACATION MEMORIES

Happy Friday! I just started working on my vacation memory planner pages for August and I love what I have done so far. Just wait until you see the other spreads...they are so pretty! And there are so many photos!

To begin, I adhered my photos to the page. I pretty much have a system here... I create a collage of four photos using PicMonkey and then I get them printed. Also, when I create the collages, I try to make sure the photos look OK next to each other.

Once I am satisfied with the placement of photos... I start embellishing, stamping and journaling my memories. I really enjoy this format of memory keeping. It's nice to share all of the photos I wouldn't normally create a layout with.

I subscribe to Heidi Swapp's monthly Stop the Blur kit and classes. I love receiving my kit every month because the embellishments are fantastic for memory planners. There are lots of interactive elements. I just love it all.

I had these two photos that didn't really go well in collages next to all of the pretty photos since they were taken at night... so I used a hole punch to punch them and mounted them inside the tabs!

I LOVE tags. Can't get enough of them and I used quite a few on this spread. This is also a great way to include those photos you aren't sure what to do with them.

I also include hidden journaling. Isn't this folder adorable?! It comes with a little journaling card too. I plan on adding some stamping at the bottom, but for now, I just want to start getting these pictures on the page.

Here's another tag with a photo that I like of myself. I try really hard to make sure I get in the photos, too!
Even when I don't look my best.

This journaling card pulls out of the sleeve. So fun! More hidden journaling.

I jotted down some of the things we did at the beach for the week.

And that is my first vacation spread. I'll be back with two other spreads as soon as they are done. :)

Thanks so much for visiting today. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

MY HEART/AB STUDIO

Good morning! I'm sharing a layout I created using a few papers from AB Studio. I just love their papers! They are absolutely beautiful and it's easy to get the mixed media look...without having to do much work!

Isn't this so pretty I really like the jewel tones...so pretty! I fussy cut some elements to add dimension to the layout so it wouldn't look too flat. I sprinkled some sequins, too. They look really pretty on this layout.

I fussy cut all of the butterflies and mounted them onto the layout using foam squares. Next, I glued some sequins to the center of the butterflies to add some sparkle.

I also fussy cut the leaves and frames and used a distressed to distress the leaves to add some texture to the leaves.

And of course...I had to fussy cut the little girl to use on this adorable layout! I just love how this turned out... seriously, sometimes, I impress myself.

What do you think? These papers are beautiful, aren't they? Oh, and if you look closer, I splashed some white spray ink all over, too.

Thank you so much for visiting today!

PICK OF THE PATCH/BRUTUS MONROE

Good morning friends! Today, I'm sharing a clean and simple layout using this month's Fall Favorite Dies from Brutus Monroe, using Creative Memories' It's Fall Ya'll collection. I love this time of the year and one of my favorite things to scrapbook is Fall layouts.

To begin, I cut a 12x12 piece of patterned paper to measure 8x11 and white cardstock to measure 7 1/2x10 1/2 so that when both pieces are mounted together, I have the base of the layout with a nice border.

I punched the pumpkins, two maple leaves and the "thanks" sentiment using my Sizzix and Fall Fall Favorite Dies to use as embellishments for the layout. These dies are so pretty! I especially love the pumpkin and thanks sentiment. :)

I used lots of stickers all over the layout to help frame the photo and hide any unwanted images showing. The pumpkins worked great for the corner of the layout because three of us are wearing pants and two are wearing shorts, which looked weird to me for fall... So I tried to cover up myself so the photo wouldn't look so weird. :)

Thank you for visiting today and don't forget to grab your Fall Favorite Dies today! I have a feeling, these won't last long in the shop! Click here to shop through my affiliate link. The price you pay will not be higher, however, I may be compensated for promoting the product.

JULY MEMORY PLANNER PAGE/STOP THE BLUR

Happy weekend, friends! I've been itching to make something. I've worked three Saturdays in a row and finally had a Saturday off so I could just create.

I'm usually a few months behind in my memory planner, but I'm proud of myself. I'm only a month behind! That's amazing...at least to me, it is. lol

I printed Heidi's printable sheet for July on white sticker paper and cut them out to use as embellishments. LOVE getting her printable every month. I don't always use the printable for each month. Sometimes, I mix them up with other months.

I don't use my journaling cards much, but I was determined to use a few on this spread. I need to do better with using up my stash...rather than hoard them. :)

LOVE the 4th of July stamps and I'm so glad I bought them. I wasn't going to get them, but I thought I could use them... and I did.

I added a few gems to the center...for a little sparkle.

And that's a wrap for July. We didn't do much in July... work and stuff. I think Edward had more fun in July than I did. :) Thanks for stopping by today. Now, I need to go throw some clothes in the wash.
