BOYS RULE

Good morning!! We have another fun challenge over at Scrapbook the Boys' blog. This month, we are challenging you to put a flower or more on your boy layouts. Who says boys can't have flowers on layouts? You can do whatever you want... it's your layout and memories!

Go ahead and give it a try... heck, if you want...add some pink, purple and yellow if you want... Boy layouts don't always have to be dark colors...

I had a lot of fun playing with this layout. I love the floral paper from Pebbles Inc. It's so pretty!! I decided to use the patterned paper as a backdrop. Then I used the cardstock as my base. I covered the cardstock using white gesso and let it completely dry before spraying on the Coloration Sprays from Art Anthology. The colors are absolutely beautiful...true to their original colors.

I fussy cut the flowers from another sheet of patterned paper from Pebbles Inc. I just love the white flowers with the gold foil. Gorgeous!! Once I was happy with the flower arrangements, I tucked some thread here and there and added a few embellishments at the bottom of the layout to pull it together. I stamped the "Boys Rule" at the top so it wasn't too naked at the top of the layout. The stamps are from Jillibean Soup!

Thanks so much for visiting today! Wanna see more inspiration on how you can scrapbook those little boys? Click here! Hope you have a wonderful day!

HELLO GORGEOUS

Good morning! Today I am sharing a friendship layout I created using Pebbles Inc.'s Hey, Hello! Collection. I love these photo booth pictures that we took back in November at our annual employee dinner. This is always the highlight of our night...the photo booth. LOL

To begin, I cut down the printed paper to measure 10"x7 1/2" and the floral print to measure 8 1/2"x11". Then I matted the smaller rectangle to the center of the floral paper. I used a pen to draw a 1/2 border around the layout.

I used a silicone brush to paint the background using Art Anthology's Mustard Velvet Dimensional Paint. Once the paint was completely dry, I added the photo strips and embellishments. This was super fun to make. I just love it! It makes me smile. We are all a bunch of goofballs.

I used a few foam squares to make the embellishments pop off the page. I used them on the stickers too!

These were fun times for sure! I hope I inspired you to grab your paint for your next project. You see... it doesn't need to be complicated! Just smear the paint onto the patterned paper and then add your embellishments. The paint will completely change the look of your layout for the better! I think...

Art Anthology just got new colors in their shop. Check them out here!

THANK YOU FOR BEING BY MY SIDE

Good morning! There's not much going on in my house other than the usual... lots of Netflix binge watching, reading and scrapping and video games for the 10 year old. Next week, we start Google Classroom... That is going to be interesting. It's a good thing I took the week off so we can learn this new way of learning together. And hopefully, we will do it with no yelling and tears.

Today, I'm sharing this layout I created for Pebble's Inc.'s Spring challenge. I love this photo of my grandmother with her sister Rose drinking a beer together at a bar while they were at the beach. The Hey, Hello! Collection from Pebble's Inc. worked perfectly with this photo!

I used foam squares to layer the Cardstock stickers together to add dimension. These flowers are beautiful and I really like the color scheme to this collection. And the bumble bees!! Lots of pretty elements in this collection, for sure.

I used a paper piercer to punch a tiny hole through the die cut tag and fed a piece of thread through it to make it more fun. Then I stapled it directly onto the photo using my tiny stapler (my favorite tool).

More layered flowers and tags. I love the sentiments!

I hope you find this layout inspiring! You can pick up some pieces of this collection in the A Cherry On Top shop! Click here! This month, I will be guest designer on their blog all month long. Please come visit, say hi and hang out with me!
