BABY HENRY

Good morning! Scrap the Boys is hosting another fun challenge this month. This month, we are sharing all of those beautiful baby layouts! I decided to search through my FaceBook albums for a picture to use and came across this adorable photo of me holding Baby Henry for the first time...and I love how Edward is looking up to me. This photo just melts my heart.

There's still time to participate in the Challenge. Click here to see what the other team members created!

For this layout, I used lots of scraps I had on hand from various paper collections from Studio Forty! I just love the papers so much! They are so soft and serene. If you've never heard of Studio Forty, check them out!

I hand-cut the camera from patterned paper to use as a die cut. The baby bottle was a stamped image that I stamped onto white cardstock and then colored them in using alcohol markers.

I used my Sizzix to create the lace border using Pinkfresh Studio's metal die.

I used Elle's Studio's Medium Jane Alpha Stamps to create the title and then colored them in using markers. Then I added the star and other elements using stamps.

This layout turned out so cute. I really love the fell of this adorable layout!

Thank you so much for visiting today!

BETTER TOGETHER

Hi everybody! It's April first! That means another fun challenge is up over at Scrap the Boys. This month is all about creating monochromatic layouts in different shades of blue. And if you absolutely feel the need to add one more color...go ahead... I did! :)

I love these photos of my sister and her son... it reminds me of some pictures of Edward and I when he was about 2 or 3. I'll see if I can find the layout I created...but in the meantime, here's the challenge!

Create something and share it in our FaceBook Group! If you don't have FaceBook, tag us on Instagram! To create this layout, I used the "My Brilliant Friend" kit that can be found at Clique Kits! The papers used are from Creative Studio-A paper crafting company located in Italy!

I had so much fun with this. I just love all the layers of papers, stickers and tags. It's super fun!

The sticker and "So this happened" is from my stash. The die cut is actually a printable from Heidi Swapp and the sticker is from one of her sticker packs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Here's the layout I was talking about. Hehe...it's a layout I created in 2013, but it still brings a smile to my face.

SIDNEY

Hello everyone! It's March 1st! And we have another fun challenge for you this month over at Scrap the Boys! This month, we are hosting a take "3" challenge. Take a look at the grid below and choose your 3 and make something beautiful!

For this challenge, I decided to add some stamping, washi tape and ephemera. What will you choose?
To complete this layout I used lots of journaling cards, paper, die cuts, matted chipboard pieces, tape stickers, and epoxy stickers. And let's not forget about that gorgeous the Medium Jane Alpha Stamp. I LOVE the font... SUPER CUTE.

I placed the "ready, set, let's do this!" chipboard onto the photo below "candy kitchen" and then added the heart and gem. I love these acrylic hearts too. They are my favorite.

I added some washi sticker tape at the top with another piece of chipboard and added some at the bottom too, just for fun.

I stamped "Sidney" at the bottom and then colored the letters in using alcohol markers. Super pretty! I used a ruler to draw a line beneath the title and added the scribble.

What do you think? Fun, right!? Thanks so much for stopping by today!

JOY TO THE WORLD LAYOUT

Hi all. Hope all is well! Today I'm sharing this layout I created for Scrap the Boy's December Challenge. I'm not big on scrapbooking Christmas photos, but I love this photo from our Disney trip a few years ago so I thought I'd just scrap it.

To create this layout, I used several journaling cards and die cuts from Elle's Studio. The heart paper, word stickers and tree and "Joy to the world" die cut is from Pretty Little Studio's newest Christmas Collection!

I mixed some enamel dots with green gems for fun. Love the color combination! It looks so pretty.

I used foam squares to pop of a few of the die cuts to add dimension.

I used a "Right Here" stamp and ink to stamp inside the tab. I love tabs and labels. They are perfect for journaling and filling in white space.

MOM!

Gosh, it's hard to believe it's November already!! Another month gone...another challenge from Scrap the Boys! This month, we have a fun sketch challenge. Use it however you like. The possibilities are endless.

For this layout, I used Fancy Pants Design's Sidekick Optional Collection. The foam alphas are from American Crafts and Simple Stories.

I started out with just the two journaling cards from the cut apart sheet and tag...but then I wanted to use the building patterned paper too... so the design kind of took a different turn.

But I used the stars and puffy stickers to kind of pull the design back together... and printed off three 2x2 photos to use, rather than use just two photos.

I love the blue title next to the journaling block with the speech bubble. So fun.

If you've been wanting this collection, it's available at Clique International. Click here to purchase yours today! It's fun and perfect for scrapbooking those boys... pony tails and all. Also, come check out the rest of the team's projects for this month at Scrap the Boys!

Thank you for visiting today!

GO WILD

Hello! Happy October! This month, Scrap the Boys is hosting another fun challenge... For this month's challenge, feel free to dig out your Halloween pictures from last year...OR...if your son is like mine...he doesn't need to wait til Halloween to dress up. It's a normal thing for Edward whenever we go out in public and spot a Face Painting Booth. :)

Click here to get inspired by the team's projects for this month!
For the background, I sprayed a variety of spray inks down and then covered them up using white acrylic paint to mute the colors down a bit.

I used several chipboard embellishments from Studio Forty to embellish this layout. I especially love the clear paw prints stickers.

Also, I used a few stamps from Studio Forty to frame the photo. Then I cut the leaves and mountain from patterned paper to use as embellishments.

I'm liking it! I had to work on this... It took awhile before I was completely satisfied with it. Sometimes, I create layouts in minutes and sometimes...it takes an hour. It just depends on my mojo.

Thanks so much for visiting today!

GONE FISHING

Hi all! This month, over at Scrap the Boys we are creating mixed media projects featuring our boys! I just received the TCW594 Mini Tribal Fish stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and couldn't wait to use it on this layout. I've been holding onto these photos of Edward from his trip out on the boat.

Come join the Scrap the Boys Challenge FaceBook group for lots of fun and inspiration!

I used a blending brush and ink to create the tribe of fish at the bottom of the layout and then I decided to go around the photos and the top of the layout so everything blended together nicely. I used stamps to stamp the title at the top and then colored in the letters using a lighter blue marker.

Doesn't the tribe of fish look so good at the bottom? I love it so much!
I used papers from Kesi'Art and Photo Play to mat the photos. Then I embellished the layout using  a few die cuts from Photo Play and Citrus Twist. The puffy hearts at the bottom are from Bella Blvd. I added a gem to the center of the blue heart to add dimension.
Thanks so much for visiting today! Hope you're having a great week so far!
