LITTLE PUMPKIN

Good evening friends! I have some exciting news! I still cannot believe it...but I am excited to announce that I am a designer for Fancy Pants Designs! I have always adored their products and I am honored to part of this amazing team!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using their Howl Collection. I am always thinking outside the box when it comes to themed collections. The Howl Collection is perfect for scrapbooking adorable babies at the pumpkin patch! My sister took this photo of Henry a few weeks ago and I just adore it. So, naturally, I had to scrap it!

I used several bits and pieces from the Ephemera Pack to embellish the layout, using a few foam squares here and there to add dimension.

I stamped on a few pieces of the 6"x6" papers to create a few more fall leaves and a cute little fox that I colored using markers.

Thank you so much for visiting today! This collection is available at scrapbook.com!

A YEAR'S WORTH OF ART JOURNAL SPREADS

Hello everyone. As promised, today, I am sharing a variety of art journal pages, I created this year. I must admit, I never considered myself an art journal artist, but I think it's safe to say, I am one of them! This year, I challenged myself to experiment with art journaling, and it was fun.

Come take a look at the variety of pages I created using acrylic paints, molding paste, gel beads, and much more! By the time you're finished watching my video, you'll be ready to order your own art journal to play with! As you watch the video, you will see, just how easy art journals can be. It doesn't need to be complicated...just have fun and enjoy the process!

Thanks so much for watching!

OCTOBER

Happy Fall ya'll! It's been awhile since I played with my Pretty Little Studio embellishments and since I had some fall photos from the my trip to the farm last week with my family, I wanted to use their Potpourri collection. I love this collection. It's my favorite collection of theirs, hands down. LOVE the HAPPY colors.

The die cuts and vellum leaves in this collection is sooooo pretty. I just can't get enough of them. Most of the layouts I create include die cuts because they are my favorite embellishments.

I sprayed the "thankful" die cut using Art Anthology's Timeless Coloration Spray.

I sprayed a variety of colors onto White Cardstock to create a colorful background for the layout since I was using a lot of bright colors. I wanted the layout to have a colorful and happy feel to it!
I splashed some Sky, Granny Smith, Sandcastle and Timeless Coloration Sprays in the background before adding the photos and embellishments.

I added some clear leaf stickers here and there along with some sticker words, jewels, vellum leaves and stamping. Lots of fun embellishments all over!

WONDERFUL

Hello everyone. Nicole here with a fun mixed media layout I created using the Love Coupon Stamp Set. Just recently, I became an auntie and I am so excited. Edward and I are in love with Henry! He is so precious.

To begin, I sprayed white cardstock with pink and tan spray mists (Colorations Sprays) by Art Anthology.

I used a circle template to draw two circles overlapping each other in the center of the layout and then I cut the butterflies out from the patterned paper and mounted them on the layout using foam squares to add dimension to the layout.

I added a few additional embellishments here and there along with some stamped images. Love how soft and pretty this layout turned out.

ALL THE LITTLE THINGS

Happy Friday! I'm excited to be off this weekend and I'm hoping I'll be able to see my baby nephew. I'm finally feeling like myself after being sick for over a week... Thank goodness. I just hope that Edward does not get what Pete and I had.

Since I'm better, I thought I'd participate in Pinkfresh Studio's October Challenge. Seriously...I cannot believe it's October already! I'm a sucker for circles so naturally, I was drawn towards this challenge and it was fun!

To begin, I colored white cardstock using a light blue acrylic paint. Then I ran the metal circle die through my Sizzix to create a few circles which I used to create a fun background for the layout. I used a foam square to pop up the enamel dot. Love these!

The "All the small things" sentimental embellishment was perfect for this layout... Look closely and you will see baby Henry! He is two months old this week. :)

I kept this layout rather simple. My main focus was the photo. It's too cute not to scrap.

There's still time if you 're looking for a fun challenge to get your mojo going! Click here for the challenge!

RE-PURPOSED BOX

Good morning friends! Last year I subscribed to Dropps to help make the planet a better place by cutting down the amount of plastic goods I buy. I also recycle everything I can... as I was about to throw this box away, I thought it would make a cute gift box... or a cute box to have on my scrap desk.

To begin, I coated the box using clear gesso. I like using clear gesso because the paint stays true to their colors! Bad Girls Couture carries their own Clear Gesso...I ran out. White gesso could make the colors lighter.

I used a heat gun to speed up the drying time. Once the clear gesso was completely dry, I used the Kiss & Don't Tell, Bad & Tatted, Caution Tape and Sweet Candy Kisses acrylic paint to cover the entire box on the outside. I used the heat gun to dry the paint in between colors so the colors would not smear.

Once the paint was dry, I added some yellow circles all over the box. Then I mixed the Bad & Tatted acrylic paint with some molding paste to smear over the flower stencil from my stash.

I used Matte Gel to glue the stickers and die cuts down then covered them using the gel.

I used some heavy body gel to glue the buttons and chipboard pieces down.

This box was soooo much fun to alter. I can't wait to alter another one.

What do you think? Have you re-purposed anything recently? I'm always thinking of fun things to alter instead of throwing them in the trash!

RAD

Hi everyone. It's hard to believe it's October already! I have been playing with the October Kit from Scrapbookingstore.com and it's adorable! I've been eyeing this adorable Halloween collection by Simple Stories for some time and I was really excited when I opened my box this month. If you're thinking about subscribing to a kit club, this club gives you a variety of papers/embellishments each month at a good price! Click here to check it out.

Loving these little guys. I used a foam square to pop one of them up off the page.

I cut the "hey, boo" sentiment from a cut-apart sheet to use on the layout. It was perfect for these photos.

I layered several pieces of die cuts on this layout... I love them. :) I even added a few puffy stickers, here and there.

Products Use: Patterned Paper, Die cuts: Simple Stories, Puffy Stickers: American Crafts, Colorations Sprays: Art Anthology (Salmon, Raider).
